Why didnt you just PM me if you wanted an argument :box:;) But i agree with you, this (like Tynecastle and Fir Park of late) is another 'test' for Boyd whether he can score in the more difficult games. So far its none this season (did he play at Pittodrie though???) in these so called trickier away ties, but to be fair the partnership with Miller didnt take off until 5 or 6 weeks ago and was interupted for a few games with Millers injury. Agreed since the Burley thing his attitude has improved, if this is what it took to do that then fair enough, its all good for Rangers at the end of the day. Would love him to prove me wrong and blast a couple past Utd today, but whats the chances of WS typically leaving him out or playing him in a 4-5-1!! For me we should stick with Miller and Boyd today.

We are due to give them a hiding, and we will IMO IF IF IF Ferguson and Mendes get there finger out. But il go for this and happily settle for it: Dundee Utd 1 Rangers 2 .........Double for Kenny Miller

Ive always wondered why more managers dont sit in the stands coz you get a far better view. When on the touchlone its quite difficult to follow certain things. My mate has a season ticket in the 2nd row of the East Enclosure and the last few times ive been over I sat with him in there and following the game compared to higher up is a nightmare - the 12 cans of lager before the game makes it a tad more difficult aswell mind you!!

Whats the bets on you and I getting 5 out of 6 every week!!

When i pick say a 6 of 7 fold accumulator of home teams i do pick out 1 or 2 teams from the lower english leagues simply because of the odds of 1/2ish. Its quite a good way actually and shows if your not too greedy then winnings can be made. Im impatient and greedy and never go for a coupon unless its at least 16/1 accumulator. Probably why i dont win!!! I think il have a bash at this and up my stake to maybe 50 quid doubles on 1/2 odds.

Cant blame a keeper for 5 goals, surely the defence takes part of the blame. I always thought moving to Sunderland was a wrong choice as they were never going to be a top side. He should have went to Villa when he had the chance.

I think Coisty is having his opinion heard on most things but the buck stops with WS and he is showing/telling/guiding him in the things he doesnt do right. I dont think SDM, WS or Coisty would allow a distraction of Ally being groomed to halt back our title bids. They will work on it as much as possible but the team winning surely has to come first.

Yeah i know, Liverpool to beat Hull!??! I dont know what I was thinking!!

Saturday, Aston Villa 2-0 Bolton Should be an easy home win for in form Villa Liverpool 2-0 Hull Hull got back to winning ways against Boro last week but cant see them doing that they did at emirates - hope they can - but cant see it Man City 1-1 Everton Tough to call, could go any way, but draw. Middlesbrough 1-2 Arsenal Arsenal have produced some of there best football at the Riverside in past years. But Boro won this one last year. If the real Arsenal turn up then they should cruise it. Stoke 0-0 Fulham Bit of an old Div 2 match this and cant see much goals. Sunderland 1-1 West Brom Both sides are struggling and could cancel each other out Tottenham 2-3 Man Utd Could be a classic Wigan 1-0 Blackburn Wigan win which ends Ince's Blackburn career Sunday, Chelsea 0-2 West Ham Banker away win for Zola Portsmouth 1-1 Newcastle Cant pick a winner here - draw of the weekend.

Swap with McGregor would be nice!!! But thats not going to happen. Gordon and 'McGregor from last season' have nothing between them, but Gordon seems like his head is screwed on and has been consistant for a longer time.

All the things he has mentioned has been doing the rounds for a long time even on this forum. I stated them in an article i did a long time ago. Its good to see they are finally thinking about them. Summer football would improve the standard of the game. Kids would get out and play in the summer nights. Plus crowds would improve. The league should be restructed to 2 or possibly 3 divisions or even have regional leagues in the lower tiers. The scottish cup early rounds should also be regional. I heard there were teams who made losses due to travelling then having there games postponed at the last minute. Its like the World Cup qualifiers, you dont see Iceland travelling to Argentina for a qualifiyier. And having 3 bodies should be reduced to 2 unless we go with the regional set up, then that would have to be looked after.

If it means getting rid of the dead wood and players who arent good enough then so be it. Adam isnt near good enough for our first team. Star?? Broadfoot may be a decent squad player to hold onto but i wouldnt be giving him any bumper deal as suggested.
-
Agreed id rather he learn his trade somewhere first IF he is to be manager for us. But cant see it at all. Sunderland will go for a proven name like Allardyce

Baffled by this

Jon couldnt, he'd sign Boyd

The Asian Handicap is one bet ive never understood.

It does, but we are talking about youngsters being given a chance coming in from the blue so they wonthave anything to lose. You could argue the other way. There is a place for a 17 year old if he is good enough. And whilst Man Utds 35 yr olds are/were world class ours are players who are nowhere near that standard, so its pretty hard to compare. If Ryan Giggs came to Rangers tomorrow Id welcome him with open arms. If Dailly plays this weekend il not be happy. I wish i was supporting a different rangers to you, and it certainly looks that way as i cant quite recall where i said our team was full of 35 year olds. But we brought on the inconsistant and unfinished article in Burke!! Thats not hindsight! I think most bears would agree there would be evidence that Burke would offer nothing to the game! Why not try young Aaron? Then you are naive then. Are you saying Bringing on Burke was a better option? What Rangers HAVE you been watching??!!! So look at the difference - he plays against QotS but wouldnt get a game otherwise - what happened to if your good enough your old enough! Try telling that to Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger - they certainly arent afraid to pitch in a youngster at any time, yet they are the most successful managers in there clubs history. Davie Moyes at Everton isnt afraid to do this either. Your excellent at mind reading are you!!! In your opinion would they have won more than the current team full of average run of the mill players who have won 1 title in the last 4/5 years!!! Mix in talent with the other good players and we would be a little more succesful than we have been in the last 5 years IMO. Just a silly silly comment and an argument just for the sake of it again.
-
Agreed, if anything they will be desperate to impress when we are in a bad run, they will see this as there chance of keeping there place. As you said earlier play them in situations when the league was over rather than sign 35 year olds. Aaron wouldnt have gotten on IMO if we werent 5-1 up against 10 man Hamilton. Why not bring him on the previous week against Hearts!! Fleck got pitched in once in a cup final against Queen of the South - if it was Hearts or Celtic we were playing then he wouldnt have been on the bench
-
Also another 90 mins for S Smith. Surely he cant be far off a first team run out after all these reserve outings. Id give him 20 mins or so in the new year as the next 3 games we have coming up would be a gamble and we need a strong bench for them. Also Velicka making more reserve appearances. He was so promising in the summer. I wonder if he has had his pre season break and preparation now - Giving players a pre season during the season often works - maybe Ferguson shold have had the same.

All we need is a good quality system. Id personally play videos of great rangers matches or indivduals on the screens with the commentry from that coming out until 2:50. Then when the players come out we play a loud tune which becomes a regular. Whether it be Simply the Best or something else. Most EPL clubs have it like the Sunderland tune etc... Agree with BH, that mix tape of having high pitched voices used to crack me up going to Ibrox, almost put me in a bad mood for the game. Its tinny, out of tune, sounds shite and irritating. Its bascially a stuck record.
-
Its terrible as is the signing. The only decent tune was Simply the Best and its not coincidence that that song sparks off the crowd
-
Typical! I was going to do Birmingham, Wolves, Reading and Preston last night but didnt bother!! - They all won!
-
Football just springs up any surprise. The guy is a grade-A dud at Spurs and doesnt look like a manager then goes and gets the Madrid job! Its got a bit of Le Guen about it. Successful 1 place, shote the next so gets a good job.
-
Agreed RE the sound system, i said that years ago it is just a noise. The tunes sang by our own CD are shockingly bad, and version of Wolverhampton Town is embarrassing and an insult to the original. As for Miller, I agree he and Davis are our best players at the moment. Boyd went totally off his game when Miller was out for 3 matches.
