Superb result and swings another few goals to us in the goal difference factor. I fancied Aberdeen to get something but id never have said a 4-2 win
-
The Premier league is so good this year. The top 5 are within 6 pts of each other. If Man Utd and Chelsea werent jammy yesterday then Arsenal were right back in it, but i wouldnt rule them out yet. They are capable of going on a winning run. People say Man Utd take off after New Year but Arsenal have done the same some seasons. At the bottom its nice to see Spurs lying 20th, but if they win today they jump to 12th - thats how tight it is!!! Hopefully Portsmouth pull off a shock today but cant see it. I fancy West Ham and Spurs today though plus with throw Dundee Utd into a treble on the coupon
-
Yeah John, I think if Celtic dont win today then 7 points in the next 3 games keeps us right in touch, of course it could be we draw with Utd and beat Celtic which may still change things in our favour. We have to go out and look for 9 points but picking up 7 wouldnt be a disaster, just as long as we dont lose at parkhead IMO. I'll be watching the Aberdeen v Celtic game today with interest, its about time Aberdeen showed up in this fixture

I cant believe the hypocritical posts here saying political and religious things should be kept out of football yet when EVERYONE on here stands up and has a minute silence for the WWI and WWII memorials and slates Celtic for having the applause. These are political issues!! So when the eventually Queen passes away we should not have a minutes silence because its not a football matter??? Its more of a political matter then a footballing one!! Or is it the fact that its not a british matter and we are talking about Muslims??? Disgusted by some posts if thats the case! Nobody is asking the fans to join in with anything. Who on here has the right to judge what Bougherra can or can not believe/protest in?!!! Im not saying political things should be involved in football but you cant have 1 rule for some things and another rule for others! If there was a minutes silence that the 50000 were asked to do then we may have a point in this discussion, but i see no problem with 1 player wanting to wear an armband round his wrist!
-
Fleck is a breath of fresh air and has to remain in the team if he is playing like that. If we can get Aaron in also to do the same on the other wing then we will create a lot of problems and our balance will be much better.
-
Aberdeen, Dundee Utd and Celtic! These 3 will be massive and decisive as to whether we can win the title or not! Minimum requirement has to be 7 points.
-
fuck all bets today: this is ridiculous!!! 8 fold: Chelsea - won Man Utd -won Man City - won Forest - won Peterboro - won Rangers - won Raith - won Dunfermline - drew 4 fold: Hamilton - won Hearts - won Hibs - won Birmingham - draw 4 fold: Man Utd - won Blackburn - won Villa - won Reading - lost
-
Thought Chelsea had buggared my coupon earlier but Dunfermline ended up drawing so they cost 1 line! Not surprised with Blackburn, i thought they would win today - puts them 2 pts behind Newcaslte who were 11th at the start of play! With WB winning that league is silly close!
-
Fuckin Fat Frank just scored in 93rd min - screamer of a goal! Fuckin jammy bastards!
-
Man utd just nicked it - Jammy!! Chelsea fans are singing "your getting sacked in the morning" but they just equalised! - Jammy jammy fuckers!
-
Joey Barton at it again - tried to hit 1 of his own team mates! Newcastle getting thumped 3-0 from blackburn who i have on the coupon!
-
Chelsea have fucked my coupon for 350 quid!!!
-
You havent told me where/who has interpreted it? And tell me how a black armband changes or effects Bougherra's play? Players wear armbands all the time for people who die and they have nothing to do with Rangers either - should we not have wore armbands when the Queen mother died because I cant remember when she played for Rangers!
-
And where has it been interpreted then? That will be the paranoia of however thinks it. I'll wait to hear who has interpreted this first before continuing but Im moving on anywhere.
-
Once again you prove you have the debating abilities of a mushroom. Isnt his Rangers duties mon-fri also during training? Just because he is doing it during match you cant seem to grasp this is his only chance of a public showing, or would you rather he skipped his training/match to do it standing on top of a statue somewhere. You mentioned the possibility that this could be exploited up on as supporting palestinian terrorists - read your post! - That is mhedia and celtic minded! Get a grip of yourself man, he is simply making a gesture that he is against a war with the killing of innocent people. Are you mad or something? how can you see the harm in it??
-
Is today at Ibrox not public? Im sorry but how can it possibly be support for Palestinian Terrorists when he is paying respect to the dead and saying he is anti-war? Your sounding Celtic minded here in the way they applaused the war memorial day - just let the guy pay his respects without making such assumptions.
-
And i thought I was the only conspiracy theorist around here! But thats a bit of an insult to the masses of innocent people killed that Bougherra is paying his respect to.
-
Is the TV camera's in his house and car? - no! On the pitch it is a good option for him to make his point/protest/respect known infront of 50,000 at the game and many on TV.
-
Good point and all the players worldwide who do cross themselves before entering the pitch.
-
Well done Bougherra! Fully respect your decision!

Its really came alive to me what a mess the Rangers are in. Im one who knew Murray has maybe been around Rangers a bit long and sold off too many good assets for a club like Rangers, non more so than our former great ticket office only to replace it with a portacabin for a 50,000 seater stadium which has left fans not getting into see the kick off on ocassion. - Ridiculous! But I didnt think id see the day when Rangers were crying out to sell a player to balance the books. I knew the Scottish game was left behind due to Sky's TV money and the Champions league carrying the English, Spanish and Italian leagues. But looking round this forum all the fans are at each other with how bad the team is, how bad the management are, how bad the Chairman and his puppet are and most concerning that how bad the support is at the moment. This is a deep hole that is only going to be repaired by a miracle. A softener for the fans would be for the team to start playing again and the manager being a bit more adventureous and trying out some talented flair players in their correct position. I really believe if WS plays to our strengths then we still cant be matched on the park by any team in the country and we should go onto taking the title home - ok that is easier said than done as it would mean WS has big balls and has to drop big ego's which could put a negative effect in the dressing room again. But i think the players owe us as much as anyone. They maybe a bit understandably down at the moment following the comments from above saying every player is available, but the players arent RFC, there are tens of thousands of fans who follow on weekly who dig deep into pockets to follow them around the country, travelling afar - so I ask the players to stop thinking about there fat wages and think about the fans for once. Give us an extra gear of two for the rest of the season and show us you want to play for Rangers then they become immune to criticism. We are scratching our heads trying to think of ways to improve. Unless we get a Billionnaire to walk in with the best interests of Rangers then I can only see a few things that will help Rangers. The only realistic way out is through an Atlantic League of some sort. What is more appealing: Playing Porto, Copenhagen, Ajax and Marseille weekly or Hamilton, St Mirren and Falkirk??? What is going to bring more revenue? What is more attractive for players?? And im not just talking about Rangers that is in a mess - the Scottish game in general is a mess. Scottish teams were feared in the 60s, 70s and 80s. The 90s was a decline and the 00s are a continuation. If it takes a decade to recover despite having a plan/program in place then so be it. 1) Summer football! - This depressing cold games is no use. Games are getting called off around the country which can be avoided. Playing a SPL match in June/July is much more appealing. I do like Christmas time with all the footy but id gladly give it up for an improved product on the pitch. Everyone knows pitches are much more playable in March to October than Nov-Feb. 2) Restructure of the league: - It seems incompitance doesnt just flow round the top levels of football clubs, its the governing bodies also. Why cant the fat cats at the top of the SPL, SFA and SFL realise we dont need 3 governing bodies in such a small country! We dont need 4 leagues with teams playing each other 4 -6 times a season!! We need a 2 tier system then bring back the regional leagues under that but keep on the relegation / promotion from the regional leagues to Division 1.

Agree with Shroomz, i cant believe what im reading as well!! I mean Jim Jefferies, Derek McInnes and Levein!!! Id rather that rugby clown who thought he could make it at football - Clive Woodward!!! Levein failed miserably at Leicester and took his old Hearts players down there as he had no imagination to sign anyone else. His eye for a game doesnt leave the window of Scotland, he is a good run of the mill SPL manager. Id rather we took a punt on the continent again. But if we stayed Scottish then ive always liked George Graham although i think he has now been out the game too long. Souness is a tough 1, Id probably take him as there is no way he would accept mediocre stuff on the pitch. I heard an interesting shout the other day - Keegan! He would try bring football to the club again but the problem would be when we woke up every morning we'd have to check if he hadnt walked! Im still a Martin Jol fan or hope for the Laudrup brothers.

I think it might be a sackable offence considering Celtic are no great side either, in fact they dont impress me 1 bit other than they dont know when to give up in games and play until the 95th minute. Whilst we take the foot off the gas if we go 1 up. The critics should overall lie with the chairman and board. The 4 managers can take blame for individual season. Its by no means WS fault at the turn of the century when Celtic had 1 of the best managers in the Britain - Martin O Neill. You only have to look what he is doing at Villa to see how good he is.
-
Your way off the mark here, poor post for you! Nobody has mentioned they love Hemdani and ass kiss him. You compared Hemdani and Boyds deficiencies earlier but Boyd cant even trap a ball. Then to just say he is a pansy and women could knock him off the ball is poor also. No its not, im merely making the point you dont have to put yourself about with solid tackles everywhere to be a midfielder. I much rather see a player with composure, the ability to mark a proper pass and pick out players....Ferguson used to have this and Hemdani has it whenever Ive seen him especially in bigger matches. It seems your team would be made up of 1 keeper, 9 ball winners and Kris Boyd. A team needs a mixture of determination, pace, flair, skill, ball winners, composure, quality.

Agree with your post. But id say not winning the title in 2.5 years is a sackable offence for Rangers. If he doesnt win the title this year then under the circumstances he should leave. That is where the tactics and selection argument can come into play. If he wins the league then with baffling selections then so be it - he has still achieved what he has set out to do. Instead of taking us forward from an almost historic season which didnt happen due to hinderences plus a bit of bad management, he has taking strides backwards - that is a crime!!! But he still has 4 months to turn it round. It will be interesting to see what happens if he wins both cups again and only loses out on the league by a tiny margin. But the title was top priority this season. But we arent just talking about the manager. If we dont win the title this season then there is a chance of only 2 titles in a decade which is beyond unacceptable for Rangers IMO considering its a 2 team league - and we have had 4 managers in that time so the buck stops with the Chairman also.
