You have to be optimistic and think there is a chance with new manager syndrom (sp) and the fact they are fighting for survival. But then i think of Butcher and Malpas and hope goes out the window
-
Just watching it also now....draw for me
-
Would have liked him at Ibrox but hopefully he does well at Wolves.
-
A happy one and good looking one?? Ugly cunt :fish:
-
I cant see Lafferty and Boyd working too well as neither has much pace. 1 of them would be better with a Novo/Miller type player to do the running. Trying Lafferty and Fleck would appeal to me through the middle with Aaron on the left. We still have Velicka aswell who is turning out to be a bit of a Fanny Jeffers. Lets not get too carried away with Lafferty after only having a good 20 mins!! Remember he has looked awful all season albeit on the left.
-
Roll back 5 years and take Graham as boss with Fowler upfront and we'd be agreeing all the time. None of this Boyd nonsense
-
Id have always said yes to George Graham but i just worry if he hasnt been out the game too long now.
-
Once Edu and Thomson are fit then we will be fine in the centre of midfield. We'll have no Ferguson getting a game on reputation and he wouldnt be moaning to teammates for his own errors. But still cant see him being the player to leave.
-
We've still got an extra week with the Forfar game so Novo may make it yet. I hope WS sticks to leaving Boyd out of the OF game, its proven he isnt any use in these games. Miller did well in the last game. In fact WS got it spot on in the last game. Yesterday would have been another game were Boyd would do nothing for all the game and then had he not gone off would have hit the pen scored and been made hero and we would be hearing how he won the game for us.
-
I think we'd accept but cant see Ferguson wanting to go anywhere. He can do a Boyd and not agree terms therefore can stay. Would bite the hand at 2million + for a player who is obviously on the downward spiral
-
No way would I want him as Gers boss even if he was a gentleman off the park.
-
We've got Forfar next week Im wondering if Edu may get brought in for the OF game as more of a holding player. I can see a 4-5-1 with Edu, Mendes and Ferguson in the middle with Davis and Fleck in the wider roles then Miller upfront. Id consider dropping Ferguson and playing Edu if fit. If Novo makes it back then he would start if not Aaron or Naismith in his place: __________________McGregor_________________ Broadfood_____Bougherra____Weir_________Papac _______Davis_______Mendes_____Edu/Ferguson___ ____Novo___________Miller___________Fleck_______

Agree with that. Whittaker, Ferguson and Boyd were poor. Even Miller did ok when he came on. Lafferty and Miller could be another potential partnership. Its time for Ferguson to take a seat on the bench and play Davis in the centre with Aaron on the right. Yet BF will probably play a stormer in the friendly in midweek which will give him another 15 game license to be shite.
-
Thought he didnt do too badly when he came on. He played with pace and directness but his final decision making cost him. Boyd was rank awful.

I think Im calling time on betting on the football 3 draws: Hull v WBA 2-2 Boro v Blackburn 0-0 Bolton v Spurs 3-2 with the winner in the last 3 mins
-
I'll take that 4-0 back and change to 1-0. Interesting commentary in the first half, we have only been leading in 6 of our 23 games so far this season, so we are more of a 2nd half team
-
Ive got it live on Goal TV now so there must be a link somewhere
-
We are due to give them a hiding. Ive said that in each of our last 5 games we've played them. So Im going to go for it today 4-0 Rangers Novo Boyd Mendes Fleck
-
1-0 Killie at HT on St M new stadium
-
For some reason i thought it was going to be Darren also. But neither Fletcher is a stand out for me, but then if you asked me if id have Darren at Ibrox the answer would be yes.
-
Thats why Laudrup should be part of the set up. Im sure he would love to be part of the set up even on a P/T basis and he could pass on invaluable skills to players. EDIT: I know a lot is said about bringing former players back to the club, but Laudrup has to be an exception. He is a true professional and gentleman and IMO the best ever Ger along with being a top world class player. He must be 40 this year so why wait for him to get older, just bring him in now.
-
Well if he doesnt get a game soon he'll be off somewhere. Valencia wont want him sitting on the bench everyweek either
-
Didnt WS slap a 7.5m price tag on McGregor? Surely we'd not accept anything less than 5.5m for him. Given (sorry also) Gordon went for 9m from Hearts then McGregor isnt worth half him although Hearts must have been laughing at that offer and Scottish teams can be held ransom to.
-
We've only had this on the left due to the regulars like Adam and Beasley being rank. WS had no option but to try Fleck. But we still have Davis (central midfielder) playing right. Aaron can play either side, as can Fleck i believe
-
Agreed Gav, Aaron looked so promising and McCoist was raving about him the other week. Im putting it down to the fact WS is far too negative to play an attacking player out wide. Fleck and Aaron would be in my starting line up, Naismith would have to wait his turn. Interesting to think what our possible team could be in a few years time: ____________________McGregor__________________ Whittaker______Bougherra_____Broadfoot______S Smith Aaron________Davis_________Thomson_______Fleck ______________Boyd_______Naismith______________ EDIT: Obviously this would be when Mendes and Ferguson move on, but having Mendes in that team would be fantastic. The front line doesnt do much for me at all though, its far to 'SPL run of the mill' Who knows, Lafferty may come good
