  1. Awesome player. Wouldnt mind seeing him back at the club in the future in some capacity. Agree with DJ, he would need to get some experience first. But he was a true quality striker and man who showed hie desire for the club.
  2. If he is the best we have then our team has went more backwards than i can imagine
  3. Not me im afraid, just another fan who see's the real Boyd. As for Novo, you are wrong here. He got 25 goals upfront with Prso a few seasons ago so thats proof enought for me that he can score goals if he was played upfront. As for Boyd attracting interest - yeah from McLeish only! The man who took him to Rangers. I didnt see anyone else other than Cardiff show interest yet they are interested in anyone who plays in the SPL.
  4. Jon i suggest you go to youtube and watch a clip of Ally McCoist and watch his all round game. Remember that diving header away at Leeds?? Can you imagine Boyd trying to get on the end of that??
  5. I dont buy this thing he is a natural finisher. Has nobody seen the amount of fluffs and fresh air shots he has done?? A finished can also finish headers and attacks balls - he doesnt do this. Coisty, Robbie Fowler and Alan Shearer were natural finishers.
  6. Havent heard that term for years!!!! First time i heard it was in 1994 when going to an OF game on Granite City supporters bus. We passed a tim coach and 1 guy on our bus jumped started thumping the window and shouted "Get off the Queens highway you dirty ******* b*****ds" ......me and my mate were in knots
  7. Crikey the Highlands is empty as it is. With 90% of the population going out that day we better get the Army up there to make sure the terrority isnt invaded and taken over
  8. Good night all round and even Velicka got a goal - Will he be the surprise inclusion this weekend???????? Bougherra is turning out to be a star, he just wants to do solo's all day and he is comfortable running with the ball.
  9. Ian, when copying an article, can you delete the advertisements.
  10. With Boyd on the back of your shirt?? :fish:
  11. Yip just saw that on the other thread. Looks to be doing well at the moment also.
  12. Any news on Bougherra, fingers crossed he came back ok. He is a key man for Sunday.
  13. Agree RE Broadfoot, he is going a decent job at RB and id have him there well ahead of Whittaker. Dont know what it is about playing centre halfs at full back but its been done over the years with Porrini, Vidmar, Dailly, Broadfoot to name a few.
  14. Surprising to see Hemdani get a run out. That answers my question about Edu on another thread about him being here or with the US. Seems he is playing well at the moment. But that defence would scare the shit out of me if it started a first team game
  15. Is Edu over there also?
  16. Great stuff Pete, would love to go to that game and would be happy to sit in with the Dutch. Jon the game at Villa park was great, Goram was awesome that day! I remember saying Leighton did superb helping Scotland qualify but then Goram came back in as No.1 for the tournament and that game showed us why.
  17. Oops just logged in, never realised these posts were made just recently. Time zone kicking in there
  18. Davis played the 90 but nothing said about why Lafferty came off.
  19. Final Score???? Read Sven under a wee bit of pressure to win this game. Could be on his way to Portsmouth
  20. Of course he gets my backing if WS gives him the nod. But would i pick him to start in this game - no. But agree with his comment: WS doesnt seem to share this opinion though.
  21. Yeah help picking the team :fish: Thats not a yes Terry!!!! But there is no common sense with fixtures and there never has been. OF games are stuck roght after huge internationals etc. I agree the SPL should be prepared to move fixtures to assist the national team. Its sad when we have to debate such thing. What would be the SPL's problem - the fact they arent the ones making the decision ir came up with the idea!!!!?
  22. Pretty much agree with that Craig. If Rangers signed a player direct from Celtic Id have no problems with this if it improved the team. Its all about how you view the rivalry, if you see Celtic like you view suicide bombers then what hope does this world have. Yes, there support have its filth in numbers but the footballing side of it doesnt have to sink that low.
  23. He should certainly have an idea of who / what (formation) he intends to play and he has been helped with the Forfar game being called off IMO.
  24. I think its ok to have 2 formations to rotate to like he did for Europe. But he doesnt help by playing players out of positions. I dont think anyone on here would have a go if he was 1) a bit more positive 2) didnt set out his team worrying about the opposition (bar big CL teams) and 3) played players in proper positions. EDIT - he has his favourties aswell. To move McCulloch to 4 or 5 positions before playing a) other first teamers in their natural position and b) youngsters will have other players scratching there heads wondering what they have to do to get a try.
