Not good as i hoped he played through the middle for a while. He should have been taken off much earlier against UTD. But with Adam away, McCulloch not getting a game on the left now, we seem to be better balanced and are using our options better. Step forward young Aaron

Im waiting a wee while to see how many games get called off. but i have the basis of my teams picked. Also going to do individual bets on the lives games ive got rather then an accumlator. I really fancy Boro to beat Man City today for some reason.

I didnt want to get into it too much either but I dont mind doing so as Im happy to debate. Your right to say others havent been part of a title winning side either. This is because we have had/still do have too much average players who cant do it over a season. Its not true when you say I think Boyd is the core, its simply because we have more Boyd debates than any other player. If we had as much Adam debates then you would say the same that I think Adam was the core. If you read my posts from way back then i dont even blame Boyd, i blame the managers who sign and pick the players. But on a personal front Boyd should be trying to improve his game. He did so to give the middle finger to Burley but seems to have went back to his lacklusture game again. And you have to remember Im far from alone in these thoughts. The fans are split over Boyd. Again not true, you are putting words into my mouth. Ive already stated the fixture list and McGregors injury as the 2 reasons I think we didnt win the title last season. WS's selections werent my 1st choice but he is the manager. And i dont think its JUST AS EASY to say Boyd may have scored the winner had he been playing. We witnessed McGregor in outstanding form, yet we didnt witness Boyd being capable of getting a winner - its 2 different things, 1 is pretty much likely while the other is a guess. But you are certainly allowed to think that in the same way I dont think he would have. But you wont see me trying to tell you to get over any theory that you may be right. As mentioned I blame managers for not winning the title. The buck stops with the manager, coaches and board for me on that! I believe the goals can come from all over the team. I also think Boyd can still get his fair share in the team but for me he wouldnt be first pick at the moment. Again WS has to take some blame for having a host of strikers in the last 7 months and still not knowing what to do.

Wallace was quality. He got plenty goals and his all round work rate was good. You have to say he had a look of good service though!!

There is comparisions, nobody is saying he is identical. Coisty is just doing the right thing by not heeping pressure on Fleck.

Sure im happy to let the Sebo one go, its the likes of you who keep bringing him up and wrongly assuming i wanted him in the team when all I wanted was to See the guy play. Boys's still a rangers player the last time i checked so he can be discussed. The 'here we go again' stuff was referring to incorrect assumptions. 2 different things. Boyd hasnt been part of a title winning side - Fact. Boyd playing more could have helped us win the league last season - A guess, nobody had a crystal ball so its down to opinion. I can, as i mentioned in last paragraph its fact v a guess. It could be an argument but once again we cant tell. But its more easy to guess McGregor was more of a cause as he was in the form of his life and many at the time thought he would have got to Celtics 3rd goal which quite possibly would have been the difference in the title.

You said who will score the goals to win us the titles. By that it sounded like your saying Boyd is the only player who to do that. Ive never said Boyds hasnt scored more than anyone else, but i find it hard to believe if he wasnt playing then we would draw 0-0 everyweek. Im not referring to you saying it directly, but others are, including that sign at the St Johnstone game. (No Boyd = No Goals = No title) - I dont believe that! Eh no....dont tell me what to get over!!! I bet the likes of Jon would have been on here quicker than you can say Boyd claiming that he has dont it again. Dont agree people would have praised Fleck for that 1 think. I cant remember the last time a player was made a hero out of for simply winning a penalty. His overall performance would have stood out. Im glad your are so easily amused. But im not alone in saying he is (to quote you) 'pish'...its just Gersnet is more pro Boyd than some other forums, Im not one of the Boyd fans - accept it. And i give him the credit he deserves when he does well rather than half-hearted well done - this is your assumption.

Here we go with the sebo thing again...obviously it doesnt register with you either that I only wanted sebo to get a CHANCE. I had no idea if he would be sucessful or not at that time. And i think losing the titles last year was pretty obvious it was down to a ridiculous fixutre schedule. IF there was a player to count the cost of losing the title last season then it was McGregor getting injured at parkhead IMO. I dont think we would have lost the OF game had he stayed on the park.

Invalid point IMO. Boyd wasnt part of any of the previous 51 titles. Having Boyd doesnt guarentee titles. Granted they contribute to points in the table but the have never contributed to a title yet. The Dundee Utd game last week was an prime example. He went off and we scored 2 goals and had a good one chopped off. Had Boyd stayed on the park he would have taken the pen and likely scored and everyone would be saying Boyd rescued us and is the hero.

Im counting the league titles mate!! And i dont single out Boyd, its to do with the other average players, the likes Adam and Burke (thankfully who moved on).

Im seriously considering not betting this weekend as its crazy how close i get every week. But I looked at a 7 fold from the 10 games there and it worked out 635/1 :cheers:
