  2. Of course winning the ugly way but it sure would be boring to watch. But you only need to look at Arsenal to decide. Wenger goes for perfection and playing better rather than winning trophies. And now Arsenal fans are getting frustrated now. Ok they see the best football on the planet at times but there is nothing at the end of the season now. There is a fine balance. You can set up a team to be solid and ugly at the back then have a few flair players that will make you team play well on occassion and for spells in a game. I think one other thing that could be added is fight and commitment. If a team doesnt have much talent then when you see them fighting for everyball you have to give them credit for trying. Some of our performances this season havent even had fight in them.
  3. Was thinking the exact same thing. BF in particular will naturally feel indifferent if he doesnt play a part and will probably take part in the celebrations but be a bit more low key. Craig, Agreed if we got a classic BF performance then it would win us the title but the odds of him producing the goods are not great. He looked well short of match practise when he came on.
  4. I didnt hear or see any interview. Is that plank Jim Delahunt still on the go?? Agreed, if Aberdeen pip them into europe then it would be nice to see Leveins face! But if it was reversed and we were going to Pittodrie then id feel the same that i hope we prevented them qualifying also on there own patch.
  5. I thought they might. I will only get the main game they show on Goal Tv so im hoping thats at Tannadice.
  6. West Brom gone, they are a yo-yo team. Middlesboro are gone bar a miracle, I cant see them overturning a 4 goal difference plus winning their match at West Ham and Newcastle & Hull losing. Its 1 from Newcastle, Hull and Sunderland.
  7. Davis should have been moved into the middle of the park a long time ago. A rest may well be what Mendes needed to recharge his batteries. Should be interesting to see who WS picks next week. I can see Ferguson starting.
  8. Unbelievable! We go to Tannadice - our bogey ground - with it in our own hands to pick up an auto entry to the Champions League with the huge cash windfall that the clubs desperatly needs and should allow us to hold onto our key players. We all know that tube Levein is going to do his upmost to prevent us winning, so nothing we be more pleasureable that banking title No.52 infront of his moaning face. I can see Hearts getting something at Parkhead anyway, that draw has knocked the stuffing out of Celtic.
  9. Not this season. Both teams have had chances to win it. If they win it then the same could be said that we lost it. Plus considering we came from 7 points behind in January...........!!!
  10. I dont mind Dailly at centre half, thats his natural position. Id put Papac in the middle with Weir though then have Whittaker at RB and S Smith at LB.
  11. Norris, I cant believe you missed out Durie from that list!
  12. Who would have thought it - The scene of where we won 9IAR all over again!!!
  13. I honestly cant believe this season! Both teams are as bad as each other by handing the innititive to each other on a plate and neither seems to want to grab the opportunity! I can see us winning at Tannadice and them drawing with Hearts and we go onto win the title by 4 points  EDIT - BTW, does anone know what game Setanta will be showing next weekend???
  14. Nah I think we will see Bougherra next season.
  15. Forgot to mention Steve Bruce at Wigan. He has been quality again. Teams like Wigan, Fulham and Bolton are almost punching above there weights
  16. Thats an awesome way to look at it John and if it happens then Christmas has come early. Even a draw from hibs will be superb.
  17. I thought that aswell. Hearts have already cemented 3rd place which is a pity as id rather they were going to parkhead with something to play for. But they will still want to stop them winning the league. Hibs is a dodgy one today, they are capable of getting something.
  18. Never heard of him until yesterday but he does look decent on the ball.
  19. I cant work out how the linesman could have a say on the Bougherra one, Bougherra would have been blocking the view of Langfields face. Beattie mentioned Lafferty winked at the dugout - I didnt see that but if thats the case then thats appaling.
  20. Craig, Jon, I disagree we started the game well. I fully expected us to come out like the 2nd half against Hibs. But we lacked direction and pace in the game. I was totally disappointed in the first 20 mins. I couldnt work out what formation we went to when Bougherra got sent off, it looked like Davis went to RB. Id have moved Papac in the middle, whittaker to LB and either play a back 3 or moved Edu to RB and Davis in the midfield.
  21. Yeah I was watching that game when Viduka scored, nothing wrong with it at all. But thats Boro down for sure, they need a big goal difference swing on the last day which theywont get as Hull play Man U (albeit it Man U reserves) and Boro go to West Ham. If Sunderland lose at Portsmouth then they are in trouble as they have Chelsea on the last day. Makes for a good last day but you'd fancy Hull to stay up at the moment.
  22. Its a scary thought for Man U thinking SAF could have been sacked. I wonder where they would be now if they did. There is no way they would have built such an established club as they have. Newcastle and Blackburn would probably have won titles and Arsenal would probably have another 3. Delighted for SAF, Giggs and Scholes. I think Scholes may be finished tho, he has struggled at times this season.
  23. Quite a few teams and bosses deserve credit. David Moyes has done yet another outstanding job at Everton and if he wins the FA cup and holds onto 5th place then he gets it for me. But if they dont then Roy Hodgson has been superb. From keeping Fulham up on the last day last season to being on the brink of Europe with a small squad has been brilliant. Fair play to Stoke they have done well at home and the manager deserves immense credit. Martin ONeill deserves credit for 75% of the season. At one time they looked like they would finish in the top 3. Zola also has done well at West Ham but they will be disappoint to falter at the end. Redknapp turned Spurs around very well also. Gary Megson has done a solid job at Bolton despite being booed by his own fans.
  24. I see what your saying there UFC, but WS just cant set a team out to go win a match....he constantly relies on safety first and hope we nick a goal. Ok having a safety approach is ok in some games but going to the title its not! Rangers are bigger and better than their opponents in the SPL and should be having a go from the off. I honestly cant believe he sent out a 4-4-2 today with a relaxed approach! I think we could improve under a new manager but can we afford such person!!! Richard Gough would be a good cheap option right now! Bring on the Laudrup brothers!
