Was gutted the game was over so early. That wee slip from Gibbs changed the game. Arsenal was up for it and would have controlled the game for longer had he not slipped. You could see it ruined the guys night and he had to come off. The free kick was worse, it was never a foul. The 3rd goal was sublime. The sending off was harsh but did look like a pen from the first angle. But im not a fan of Fletcher and i dont think he would have started in the final anyway. I hope Man U go on and win it though. Id like to see Sir Alex get another title as he is the best manager of all time for me. I dont care who goes through tonight but I just dont want to see John Terry's open gob lifting that cup!

Id disagree, ive never thought Ferguson was a player who could go past 3 men on a run then score. His best days were when he sat in centre of the park and picked the ball up and was slightly creative in finding the likes of De Boer. He cant dicate the game near to the same level now and resorts to blasting team mates for his own errors. Ive said all season Ferguson (and Weir) should have been used much more sparingly to get the best out of them. And i dont think Ferguson has missed having Thomson either, Thomson came onto a good game when Ferguson was injured. The last player to get the best out of Ferguson was probably Hemdani.

The problem Ferguson causes on the pitch is imbalance and thats a huge important factor in a team. You dont know if he will be holding or attacking now, so the guy next to him struggles also. I think people expect too much of Mendes, they want him to go past 3 players and score. His game isnt so much like that but he is a clever player and he has missed having Thomson next to him. I cant stress how much we should play Davis in the centre, he would be a different player altogether. As i mentioned on another thread, half of our outfield team was guys out of position!! - Thats terrible and has to have an effect on the team and individual performances. Its time WS got the basics right and went with a proper balanced team. The midfield is important so either go for a flat balance 4 with 2 wingers or go for a diamond. But the likes of S Smith shouldnt be playing LM when we are crying out for a winger to get to the line and get a ball in.

Couldnt agree more about the Championship. It goes to the wire every season and keeps a good amount of teams ticking over until the last minute. The play-offs are brilliant aswell - every team knows what they are all about before a ball is kicked. When a country has so many clubs this is the best solution to give them all something to play for. The amount of teams who have dropped 2 leagues from the premiership over the years is growing, with some big names in there: QPR Man City Notts Forest Sheff Wed Bradford Oldham Leeds Leicester Southampton Charlton Norwich

That is the first time ive seen Driver and he looks a player!! He has some pace on him aswell! Im not a fan of taking much players from other SPL clubs unless they have that extra something, but this guy looks like he could be a great purchase on the right hand side.

What a headache Smith has for next week. Miller and Lafferty are back fit again yet Boyd and Velicka have scored in every game since the first 2 have been out!!! I think he has to break the partership up and go with 1 of the more mobile players to make the Celtic defence work more.

Cant seeing starting at all, fitness alone would rule him out. Id have a 3 man centre midfield next week of Edu, Mendes and Davis. Get Novo on the right. Having an extra man wider than Davis allows him much more time on the ball to be more effective.

I only watched the first half but thought the exact same as Cammy when I saw the line up - half the outfield team was out of position. Dailly (centre half by trade playing at RB) McCulloch (Striker by trade playing centre half) Whittaker (RB playing at LB) Davis (Centre midfielder playing RM) S Smith (LB playing LM). Davis is being restricted on the right, he should be playing in the middle probably with Edu at the moment. I like Mendes but he isnt playing his best at the moment. Velicka is becoming another Boyd - doesnt do much off the ball but can score at any time. I think 1 of these 2 have to make way for the more mobile Lafferty or Miller against Celtic though.

This guy has mental issues. How many chances does he need then he goes and loses it again. Barnsley winning at Plymouth and Norwich getting beat 3-1 at Charlton. Norwich will join Southampton and Charlton in League 1. That league is beginning to gets its fair share of former EPL teams. If Leeds dont come up then there will be some good fixtures there next season.

If it wasnt for Steve Harper it would be at least 4 by now. He has had 3 superb saves. Alan Smith isnt the same player since his injury, Barton is a loose cannon, Viduka is just an overweight lump and Owen cant get ahead of them! Damien Duff is at LB - says it all!

I think Middlesboro could beat Newcastle. At least Southgate tries to play football. Newcastle just look like a team who havent played the game before. This game is now 2-0 going on 7-0.
