Great to see us get invited and should be a good weekend all round. If we dont make the CL though and sell off Mendes, Davis and Bougherra we could be in for a bit of a licking.

I thought it was just 3rd aswell but read on the article it was 3rd and 4th which makes sense. Cant see why Falkirk gain entry for a good cup run unless they win the cup. If there was still a Cup Winners Cup then maybe

I think it should come down to 2 things: a) Parents nationality b) Length of time in the country. Those 2 things should make you qualify. Having Scottish parents and living there definatly makes you Scottish. Look at Andy Goram! For me this George Boyd playing with 1 grandparent yet he hasnt been in the country before is a nonsense! That takes away the hope for some genuine scottish players. This guy boyd is about as Scottish as a Taco yet he can represent us. International football will turn into club football soon and I can see a 3 foreigner rule within 10 years! The foreigner rule will be for the likes of people who have great grandparents! Its the way of the world due to this agenda of Globalization.

Great to see 6 teams go in. Im glad 3rd and 4th gets entry but i think 5th should get in if we win the cup rather than Falkirk.

So this is probably the situations WS has been dwelling on this week: 1) Keeper - Will he bring McGregor back? - Cant see it 2) RB - Dailly or Whittaker? 3) LB - If Papac doesnt make it does he switch Whittaker there or go with S Smith 4) RM - Does he keep Davis there or move him in 1 an play Novo? 5) Centre midfield - 2 or 3 players? Bring back Ferguson? 6) Left Mid - Winger like Aaron, Beasley, Novo? LB Smith? Fleck, McCulloch, Naismith or Lafferty?? 7) Upfront - 1 or 2 strikers from Boyd / Velicka / Miller / Lafferty??

Stuart Slater was a cracking player before he went to Celtic. He was at West Ham when I had my ST there. He was POTY in 1990-91 when WH got promoted to the old Division 1. I remember him tearing Everton apart in the FA cup quarter final. He scored about 15 goals as a left winger that season and had about 20 assists. Anyway, as said S Smith is a must to play at LB tomorrow. I dont fear playing Dailly that much as he will force McGeady wide and I dont think he is effective there. But Whittaker at RB and Smith at LB is a better option. I fear the likes of McCulloch playing LM more and it will just freeze any chance of playing with a bit of pace on the break.

One thing Im hoping WS will do this weekend is keep the team selection simple. Play players in their natural positions and we may get the same result as the first OF game this season - thats the only time he has fielded XI in the correct position. Last week against Hearts we had 5 of the outfield 10 out of position: A Centre Half at RB A 'who knows what McCulloch is' at centre half A RB at LB A Centre Mid at Right Mid A Left back at Left Mid This has to have an effect on the team and surely restricts players to produce their best on the park. I cant stress enough how right WS got the it in 4-2 win at Parkhead, we tore them apart. I got excited when I saw the starting line up that day and just knew we would win. Lets have more of the same tomorrow, I want 2 centre midfielders and 2 natural wide players with 2 strikers. I want to get 3 points tomorrow to see Rangers WIN the title rather than hope they drop points elsewhere. 7:30pm K/o for me, I'll get the carry out ready by 4pm

Gav I bet your loving that spanish clip that shows A Cole dropping his head The picture of the ref running away with the cup is funny

Rumoured to be on Sky sports....anyone confirm! If true WS will keep Whittaker at LB and play Dailly. Surely S Smith is the better option to fit into the role!!!!

Crikey, is that Gough or Bon Jovi?? Look at the hair!!

Agreed! If Setanta got a huge slice of the EPL pie then they would drop the SPL quicker than they could say 'Setanta is shite'. I suppose the only reason from the 12 clubs is there is no other alternative. But they should have got something in paper stating they want xxx amount back until 20** when the so called recession is over.
-
I read that this morning and burst out laughing....Is he making it up about Guinness or is there a past joke to this?? Quality stuff by Gough
-
Especially Terry, Lampard and Drogba.....Terrys gob is always a mile open, it reminds me on the baby on the cover of Tellytubbies - ultra annoying! Drogba has the gayest celebrations ive seen. If Everton beat them in the FA cup it will make it additional sweeter

They were pretty much in the Auto promotion place all seasin until the last month or so. They had a few bad results and Peterboro went on a superb run. Anyone from the 4 could go up though. That league gets more interesting by the year.
-
Who would that be?? I keep an eye on the scores in League 1 but not 2.

Rugby stadiums seem to have have it sorted out. Twickenham holds 82,000 yet was build or redeveloped with no hassle but Wembley was a joke! Murrayfield is a superb stadium with 67,000 seats and room for upgrading if the old stand gets redeveloped also. Hampden is about the same size as Murrayfield but holds 15000 less due to the silly design of the stands being so far behind the goals. This was fine when it was all standing as you could cram plenty more in to generate noise. They should have pulled the stands in and made them steeper behind the goal and made the North stand the same as the 2 tier south stand and Hampden would look great and hold about 70000

They start tomorrow, I noticed Millwall play Leeds! That could be an ugly match! Would like to see MK Dons go up, they have got Scunthorpe. Seeing Leeds go up a division would be interesting to see if they could get back up to the Premier League. Reading play Burnley Sheff Utd v Preston (Cmon Preston) Ive no idea who plays who in Division 4

I was way off. 3-2 is 28/1 Early odds: Rangers 5/4 Draw 2/1 Celtic 15/8 Rangers to win: 1-0 7/1 2-0 9/1
-
Its worth a fiver in the bookies. Will probably be at least 14/1.
-
I think he should stay on as cover. Id much rather Weir stepping in for games than McCulloch or Dailly.
-
Goram hands down!!! One of the best keepers ever IMO.
-
Everyone knows im far far far from Boyds biggest fan, but il admit his performances in the last few weeks have been a huge improvement, and he deserves to start on Saturday on merit! Comparing him to Coisty's games against Celtic is a bit pre-mature but we will wait and see.

I used to deteste Man U but they have grew on me over the last 5 years and I have nothing but respect for Sir Awex, Giggs and Scholes. WOuld love to see them get another title and CL. Gary Neville is still a total wank though

Andy Webster plays and scores. Yet we prefer Lee McCulloch...
