  1. Over the years we could fill 2 squads with players from Ibrox alone who have spend most of there time in the treatment room. But was trying to think of others: Darren Andertson Andy Webster Woohee Saha (as Sir Awex calls him) Owen Hargreaves Michael Owen More.............
  2. I dont think Moyes has that much average players, he has some cracking players like Yobo, Lescott, Neville, Arteta, Cahill, Osman, Yakubu. A few of them have came from nowhere but their quality has came through. They just never seem to have any strikers fit. Plus they are a club with 40,000 every week and a huge tradition - compare that to Fulham who were in the lower tiers of english fuseball not so long ago!

Agree with comments so far, he is the one player that has an extra bit of quality in the locker. people do maybe expect too much magic but he isnt the same player as a Gazza or Laudrup or even De Boer. That said, if we got 3 million plus for him we may have to consider it for a 30 yr old. But i expect him to shine in Europe next season, it will suit him much better. And if Thomson can get back to full fitness next to him then we are sorted in the midfield.
  4. Yip Hodgson for me also. If Man U had won the CL then id have maybe went for Sir Awex, or if Everton had won the cup then Moyes would have pipped it. If Villa had not fallen away in the final quarter then MON would have been in with a shout.
  5. Aye, next it will be that Dr Joe Venebles bloke
  6. How good was this game! And Arshavin' 2nd and 4th goals! [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-MWvDLRfUM4]YouTube - Liverpool vs Arsenal 4-4 HD 720p[/ame]
  7. 12 million agreed
  8. Scottish football needs something like this to burst the current poor bubble and re-build. There are far too many clubs and far too many leagues. The criteria for the SPL is a joke and should be revised and just make the SPL have 16 teams.
  9. I hope this happens! Utter shite manager!
  10. I put Bergkamp on my list in the other thread before I even saw this thread Awesome awesome player! Cool as a cucumber! Do you think the commentator got the goalscorer right in the opening goal though??? The music is alright actually..typical Euro dance music! Pete probably has that album. EDIT - i still cant get my head round that goal at Newcastle! Utter brilliance!
  11. Agreed, definatly not a step forward at the moment. I think he realised he wouldnt be a definate first pick at Liverpool so had to move to the likes of Man City. From Man Citys point of view its a good signing, he is a solid player who adds to their squad.
  12. Maradona Roberto Baggio Dennis Bergkamp Ryan Giggs
  13. But you can bet (although you would probably lose :fish:) that if Coyle made his interest to them he would have been appointed by now.
  14. Ive never even heard of the 2 St Mirren players or Lee Wallace of Hearts. Langfield in goal???????? Is he having a laugh?!!
  15. Im in the Novo must stay camp! He leads by example attitude wise and i think he has impacts starting some games aswell. He is the classic player to bring on and remind the team when they are taking the foot off the peddle a bit as he ups the tempo straight away. If only he could finish!!
  16. Not sure. Did they make an official approach for him??
  17. As Johnny says they will claim it was there first choice, but the new man will feel about 5th choice. Now that 3 have been linked (Moyes, Martinez, Coyle) they will start to get desperate and I can then see McGhee coming in.
  18. Losing Ferguson and Mendes would mean we lack a bit of pressance and experience. Edu is still new and Thomson is still young and we dont know how fit he will be. I know we like an older player or 2 but if we are skint then why not ask Tugay to play on for 1 year if only for experience? He has just left Blackburn and played well all season.
  19. Agree with Calscots list and agree with Gav. I dont see the point in Aaron sitting on the bench every week without fail and getting about 97 minutes the whole season. That has a knock on effect and deprives another youngster the chance to sit on the bench.
  20. How many cases in Scotland / UK is it at now anyway??
  21. Definate wind up then!
  22. Almost agree. All footballers who earn silly money should be able to adjust to most positions on the park. But they will always have a 'best' and 'favoured' position. If a pro footballer cant fit in at a position then what is he doing on the pitch in the first place? Ive played the game to an amatuer level and so has many on here and we would know what we are supposed to do anywhere on the park and im sure if we were at it full time we would improve. Some footballers are just lazy and complain they arent a full back or a winger. Of course they wont be at their best but thats no excuse for not trying.
  23. Again agree with Jon, if we got a decent offer for a 30 year old then we should take it. But I worry about selling off too many central midfielders and going back to a few seasons ago when we were well short in that department. Especially from an attacking / creative sense. Ferguson is probably for the off, Hemdani has gone, McCulloch should be for the off even though he isnt near a central midfielder. That would leave Edu and Thomson plus possibly Davis playing in his natural postion.
  24. Thats the most accurate thing you have said all year
  25. Seconded from Craigs post. Surprising choice but he has done well at Swansea. Again doesnt scare me at all though, he is still relatively in experienced and the gold fish bowl of Glasgow will be a different level for him. If he turns it down it will make things interesting. The next choice will feel he wasnt the top man from the board and is 2nd best - thats when they end up going for a Levein or McGhee who will be out of their depth.
