With all these retro tops coming back i wonder if we will see retro shorts aswell - i.e. the struggle to go past your butt cheeks in length

Sounds like the perfect day out to me if you could get the game on the pub. Try The Queens, its between the underground station and the stadium. If not try The Green Man (remember your on Green St not due to the colour green). Its about a 10 min walk from the ground on Plashet Grove but has TV's for games on the telly. Im sure your burds old man will know where that is. Duke of Edinburgh - Turn left out of the underground station and walk away from the ground. The Boleyn - Corner of Green St and Barking Rd, will be the busiest before the game. Just call them up and ask if they have Setanta

Its S Smith at LM i worry about more that Dailly at RB. Smith was poor a few weeks ago against Hibs. Having Edu fit is a boost 1) He has been playing well and 2) it keeps McCulloch out of that role.

I still enjoy watching Strachan's interviews, he can be amusing at times. He was at his best when at Southampton though
-
Agreed, I cant quite work out who would sign him in the Premier League. Maybe he should start dreaming of Wales rather than England as Cardiff are bound to come in for him. :fish:

Im the opposite, I feel very confident in the team at the moment. Thats what 6 wins on the trot?? No coincidence since BF has gone out the team and Weir made captain either. I dont think thats a knock at Fergusons ability but he wasnt running games at all and i feel he was keeping a few in their shells. Boyd seems to have been another who as improved at the same time. I think we have got the bit between the tooth and we will win at Hibs. In fact i think this could be our easiest game in the run-in. Aberdeen and Dundee Utd will put out all the stops to stop us win the league plus they could be playing for 3rd place.

I think we could still fetch a least 1 million for Ferguson. But freeing up Hemdani and Ferguson is a huge weight off the wage bill. They take in over 40k a week between them and that could be invested wisely. Looking at your squad after the departures Id say we might have to go for a keeper. Alexander may start the season as No.1 but Im not to sure about Smith as a strong enough No.2. Perhaps he needs a loan spell like McGregor did and we could get a decent loan keeper. A new centre half has to be a priority to partner Bougherra. Whether Webster is a contender is another story but as well as Weir has done I dont think he has 40 games in his locker next season. I really hope the Lee Wilkie rumour doesnt come about again. I feel we are ok in midfield. Mendes, Davis, Edu and Thomson are fine for the centre with Furman and another being back up. Im not sure about the wide roles. Davis will probably still play right (even though he is better in the middle). Id give Aaron a chance next season if not then there is no point in him staying. And on the right I prefer Novo but id be happy to make a decent signing who can play either wing. Upfront I expect Lafferty to be a key player next year. Considering we started this season 9 strikers i have no idea who WS will sign here. I can see Lee Miller being signed unfortuntaly. Lovenkrands has been linked a lot so he is another option to go with Miller and Velicka.

What was the score in the first leg between Scunthorpe and MK Dons?? The other leg was 1-0 to Millwall v Leeds, so the 2nd leg tonight will be good at elland road. I can see a full house there.
-
Sheff Utd into the final after beating Preston. Reading or Burnley play the winner with Burnley leading 1-0 from the 1st leg. I hope the winners of this game go up.
-
McCulloch is another who id get rid of but I can see him staying. Unless Stoke want to come back in with that 1.8M bid

I think we shuld start doing these SPL-style by voting in January but honours revealed in May

Scotland handed Fair Play boost as six SPL teams head for Europe
Gribz replied to ian1964's topic in General Football Chat
I still cant believe Falkirk have qualified already. If they win the cup then thats fair but for them to be in europe and probably get relegated with losing the cup final is wrong IMO. -
Jammy Geordie buggers have got out of it on goal difference. I hope Fulham go there and beat them at the weekend. Fulham are going for 7th place and entry in the Europa cup. As much as i want West Ham to nick that 7th place if Fulham get it then they deserve it and if it means Newcastle are back in the relegation zone then so be it.

This would be about as sucessful as Graveson. Owen is finished. 110k a week from Newcastle is robbery.
-
I fancy Boro to win tonight. Newcastle are just absolute rank, at least Boro try to play football. At least 1 of these teams are down, but Hull are worse than them both so will probably be the savour for 1 of them. Would be great to see West Brom somehow get out of it and send the other 3 down, or even better Sunderland, Boro and Newcastle. Seeing Newcastle go down would be fun. I used to think Southgate was the biggest plank ever but i dont mind him so much now, i just wish he would get a haircut though.

Caldwell or Bougherra??? How on earth can Caldwell win this!! Strachan, Brown and Caldwell in a clean sweep.....utter shite

SFA study video footage of Glenn Loovens' challenge
Gribz replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
It was shocking and could have ended du's career. Has to be punished -
Liverpool are just shite in general, Kuty is a poofter

I was pretty tipsy during the game yesterday, how did the midfiled do???? Is the shadow of Ferguson becoming a good thing????
-
Hull are just absolute pish. That knob Brown cost them when he gave them the team talk on the pitch at man city, ever since he has lost the dressing room. Daniel Coozan will be another regretting leaving when he see's us lift the SPL and enter the CL. - Fantastic player, but up yours Coozan Liverpool robbed West Ham. The first goal was offside (from a Hammers point of view) and it was NEVER a pen for the 2nd after Boa Morte was pulled down a minute earlier. I really thought the ref was being paid off. Wanks! Cmon Man U today! West Brom won aswell and could make a silly escape as Boro, Newcastle and Hull are so rank. Great win for Fulham against Villa. How good a job has Hodgson done!!! Next Gers boss???
-
Awesome Pro who was signed 10 years too late. Imagine him next to Gough or Amoruso?? Amo's mistakes would have been halfed. Even Konterman might have looked a player. Id definatly keep him on for next season but used like Sir Alex uses Giggs.
