Good to see some stability at WH for a change. The club have been a bit of a rollercoaster on and off the park for a while. One week we could win 5-0 then get beat the same scoreline the next. But Zola and Clarke have installed a good bit of stability on the park, he we can just get 2 or 3 quality signings then we should be a top8 club all season in 09/10. I fear Robert Green leaving though. Superb keeper and i wouldnt be surprised to see arsenal knocking. Spurs were sniffing about aswell.

Good move for Hughes, make or break in his management career. He does well he will go on down south like quite a few of the past Hibs managers, if he does poor it will be back to the likes of Raith. This is the next step up the ladder so we will see if he can make Hibs play some good football.

Walter Smith was today boosted with the news that Gribz and Gazza8 will both be available for pre season training despite embarking on a lads weekend in Thailand all summer.

Aye they have to do something! Its not right for some reason! Every other group has a San Marino type team also which is a banker 9 goals while we have tougher teams. If only Iweloomo (sp) scored!

We are in a great place to finish 2nd.....the problem is the 9th best runner up doesnt make the play offs (terrible decision) and currently we are 9th - the worst.

I thought Gordon Smith getting this job would have been an advantage but he has done nothing good at all. The games needs to be taking by the cruff of the neck and revamped but nobody will do it. The duo shouldnt have been banned in the first place....everyone stated they were sticking the V's to the crowd which is obviously an absolute nonsese and its obvious it was to the media! Regardless if thats right/wrong the point is it was still to the media and not tha fans which is more damagable to them.

Yip, not for me either. I not for the mulitple english guys playing for scotland either...for example that latest guy (cant remember who) hadnt been in the country before now he gets a call up.!!! I think the line should be drawn at parents place of birth. If your half scottosh you should qualify, if its through a grandparent then that shouldnt be enough. Novo does show the exact attitude ANY scottish player should have! Proper Pro!

Albertz was a bigger mistake than Gattuso IMO. Albertz was established as our Top players...gattuso was 'promising' at the time. McLeish had a chance to sign Albertz back and turned it down....silly silly silly decision!

Glad to hear the sentence getting rid of dead wood. But knowing Bain he wont know who that is. If Ferguson and McGregor depart that free's up 45k a week, add that to the 17k that Hemdani was getting then that must leave room for an addition or 2. Ideally if we could find a good Bosman signing then we dont have to pay transfer fee's. Then the selling fee's for the likes of Ferguson, McGregor, Boyd and McCulloch will balance the books. Winning the title and entry to the CL must feel like a mountain of weight off Murrays back.

The TV channels here have a similar agreement with The EPL, Spanish, German and Dutch leagues / TV channels. On a weekend, we get 8 of the 10 EPL games on live, at least 4 Spanish, 2 german plus daily highlights, 4 Dutch games plus repeats all week and 2 SPL matches with daily repeats. The SPL has to look at this type of arrangement then sit down with the SFA and SFL and revamp the system. There are millions of Scots worldwide who would gladly pay a small fee to see the games and if your getting a small subscription fee from such a high number then its easy income.
