Yip agreed. The next season was bad due to selling off a great midfield. Gio and Reyna went on their own wishes, but Tugay and Albertz went despite wanting to stay. They were only replaced with Nerlinger (who hardly kicked a ball) and Latapy (who was more attacking). After that it got a bit better with Ferguson, Arteta, De Boer and Lovenkrands but still wasnt a patch on the 2000 side.

The 2000 team was as good as ive seen. If only Mols didnt pick up that injury and played to that level in that side then it would have completed our team. Around 98-2000 we were on the brink of a great side.

Thats quality and picturesque! Would look superb on a frame! That was a cracking game aswell, 3-1 win in August 05. I was absolutely steaming watching that in a bar full of tims and went wild when that goal went in

Never seen that one on the bus before, superb. Seems he is leading the celebrations along with Novo.

Are you the one on the right who is away to get leathered by the hammer???

Oh well, if Craig got it then lets make it donkey of the year

How good is it to see the likes of Arveladze being so passionate. Not often you get foreign players coming in and playing with such desire for the club but Shota was certainly one, as was big Dado. Arveladze will still never get any prizes for dancing though.

I think the fact Utd have to get a point for europe plays into our hands, it puts more pressure on them knowing if they slip up and aberdeen win then they lose 4th place. Had they being playing to stop us going for the title then they would be more dangerous IMO. Plus our awful record at Tannadice has to end sometime.

Maybe its our positive thinking thats cost us so much in the bookies this year though!!!!

Jeff Winter is quality. I heard him in a phone in not long ago answering back to people who had called in and complained about something. He should without doubt be in some sort of leading role with Ref's or involved with the FA....Id be glad if he was involved with the SFA. But there is no chance of him getting such role as he has far too much common sense and knowledge for the job, people like that dont get such positions.

I think so. Ive been confident all season, I only had 1 doubt when we failed at Easter Rd but even then had a good feeling celtic would draw there also. C'mon the confidence!

You dont see much up in the Highlands anyway

I wouldnt be surprised about that and if they had started the engraving :fish:

Im the opposite to Norris. I was nervous on helicopter Sunday, i remember having a bit of the shakes and tons of adreniline that day in a Baku bar....but today im as calm as can be. Im pretty excited but certainly not nervous. I'll be off work tomorrow morning regardless of the result, games kick off at 8pm and ive got the carry out ready.

You probably only need to compare both OF squads to what they were in the past 15 years to conclude both teams are far poorer. Opposition teams in the last 5 years have came to Ibrox and Parkhead and had a go rather than played 10 behind the ball. Id like to see some sort of stat about the points other clubs have taken off the OF in Glasgow over the last few years. Id guess its increased a bit.

Would have preferred Inverness to stay up as its a nice wee town. Plus i dont like St Mirren or Falkirk. But at the same time I dont mind seeing Malpas being relegated. Joke of a coach. St Johnstone are a welcome return to the SPL.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FIFA_100 Cant believe Gascoigne, Giggs and Bobby Moore didnt make the list! Surely Gazza and Moore were better for England than Owen! Peter Shilton was probably better than Banks aswell. Only Dalglish in from Scotland is harsh also.

Agree with John that Hearts are the team id have picked to play Celtic. Just a pity they dont need a point or 3. There is quite a few things that can happen between the top 2 plus Dundee utd and aberdeens positions. We just have to set out to win our game, we are in by far the best position of all the teams playing for something.

Could be the difference between winning the title and not!

I get a feeling ferguson will play a part in the next 2 games. Id start him on the bench against Utd but if Mendes or Edu is struggling early i wouldnt be afraid to make a change. Another option for a change is always pushing Davis inside and playing Fleck or Aaron on the right.
-
Novo for me. I prefer him on the right but Davis is sure to play there. Novo brings direct pace and attack minded play and is more dangerous on the wing than upfront.
-
Agreed, not sure how he works that out. Why does common sense never come into things with people who have certain positions. UEFA and FIFA need to get their fingers out also. Goal line technology is a must but it should stop at that. But Tv evidence for cheating and off the ball incidents should be used. Ive said for yeas that 4 linesmen should be used. Im sure linesmen used to get up and down both sides of the pitch and now they only cover half.

How good is picture 5!!!!!!! :fish:

Me and my mate used to go to this barber on Holburn St (if anyone knows aberdeen) and he was a quiet little fellow who loved his football but secretly hated Rangers. He had this plant on the shelf with a sign that said 'plant a hun' So me and my mate decided to both enter at the same time with our Rangers top on, you should have seen the guys face! He almost had the shakes! Considering my mate is 6ft 1 about about 17 stone! He was nice as pie to us after that.

This was a huge goal though. They needed the 3rd to go through. They were leading 2-1 with about 10 mins to go. I think it was the last group stage game in 2004/05 season. I had just arrived in Singapore and was jetlagged watchin this at 4am and totally remember Andy Grays reaction.
