  1. Was going to suggest a season review...and volunteer Super Ally for it to give him something to do.
  2. Glad to hear the sentence getting rid of dead wood. But knowing Bain he wont know who that is. If Ferguson and McGregor depart that free's up 45k a week, add that to the 17k that Hemdani was getting then that must leave room for an addition or 2. Ideally if we could find a good Bosman signing then we dont have to pay transfer fee's. Then the selling fee's for the likes of Ferguson, McGregor, Boyd and McCulloch will balance the books. Winning the title and entry to the CL must feel like a mountain of weight off Murrays back.
  3. The TV channels here have a similar agreement with The EPL, Spanish, German and Dutch leagues / TV channels. On a weekend, we get 8 of the 10 EPL games on live, at least 4 Spanish, 2 german plus daily highlights, 4 Dutch games plus repeats all week and 2 SPL matches with daily repeats. The SPL has to look at this type of arrangement then sit down with the SFA and SFL and revamp the system. There are millions of Scots worldwide who would gladly pay a small fee to see the games and if your getting a small subscription fee from such a high number then its easy income.
  4. It just shows how big this seasons title was. If celtic won it we were in financial turmoil. Now that we have won it, its the mhanks who are a mess. Id rather wait and see who takes the job first though.
  5. John Gregory
  6. New manager to be: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/r/reading/8081467.stm Who??????? Surely they want to get back up to the premier league and arent that far away as a team and should have went for a proven name!
  7. Was going to put Gary Megson but he did ok this season with Bolton. Prior to that he would have been near top of the list. John Barnes
  8. Edu 3 months????!!!!!!! I didnt think it was that bad! And WS has let Furman go, Hemdani was always going and Ferguson is likely to leave. That leaves McCulloch to fill in then! But surely Davis moving into the centre with Mendes is option 1. A new signing must be on the cards aswell.
  9. List of managers who are overrated and some who just shouldnt be managers Micky Adams Tony Adams Ian Dowie Paul Jewell Sam Allardyce Mo Malpas
  10. Looks like Kenny Miller
  11. The umbro kits are not even comfortable. I bought Rangers and West ham home and away in the last 2 seasons and both are nothing compared to Adidas. I bought Chelsea shorts in London last year just for the sake of them being adidas and wear them all the time. Not sure about Nike, but Adidas would be a scoop!
  12. Its been a while since we had a good few players / idols. Since growing up ive had McCoist, Hateley, Gascoigne, Laudrup, Albertz to idolise then most recent we had De Boer and Prso. But Novo is certainly a current favourite of mine and he is pretty much what Rangers is all about. Id have him starting most games. I know people say he is a better impact player coming off the bench, and they are right as once the game has died a bit he comes on and his tempo lifts the game again, but I still dont buy the fact a impact player has to start on the bench. Fingers crossed he is with us for another few seasons yet
  13. Heard Efrem was a decent player aswell! Strange if Furman has been released also, thought he could be a good squad player!
  14. Have to agree with The Leppard Man, Maradona is THE stand out and the greatest ever. At just 5ft 5" to dicate matches and go past people like he did was unreal. If anyone was born with football as a gift then he was. He was untouchable in the 86 world cup but got even better in 1987-89 but there was no world cup to show it. I dont buy this Pele stuff as being the best ever, Pele didnt have the skills of Maradona or Zidane.
  15. Seems a good find by Eck! Perfect partner for Boyd
  16. He is obviously trying to throw his name in the hat for the Aberdeen, Hibs or soon to be Falkirk and Motherwell jobs. Id not be taking a gamble on him if I was the chairman of Cowdenbeath
  17. Over the years we could fill 2 squads with players from Ibrox alone who have spend most of there time in the treatment room. But was trying to think of others: Darren Andertson Andy Webster Woohee Saha (as Sir Awex calls him) Owen Hargreaves Michael Owen More.............
  18. I dont think Moyes has that much average players, he has some cracking players like Yobo, Lescott, Neville, Arteta, Cahill, Osman, Yakubu. A few of them have came from nowhere but their quality has came through. They just never seem to have any strikers fit. Plus they are a club with 40,000 every week and a huge tradition - compare that to Fulham who were in the lower tiers of english fuseball not so long ago!

Agree with comments so far, he is the one player that has an extra bit of quality in the locker. people do maybe expect too much magic but he isnt the same player as a Gazza or Laudrup or even De Boer. That said, if we got 3 million plus for him we may have to consider it for a 30 yr old. But i expect him to shine in Europe next season, it will suit him much better. And if Thomson can get back to full fitness next to him then we are sorted in the midfield.
  20. Yip Hodgson for me also. If Man U had won the CL then id have maybe went for Sir Awex, or if Everton had won the cup then Moyes would have pipped it. If Villa had not fallen away in the final quarter then MON would have been in with a shout.
  21. Aye, next it will be that Dr Joe Venebles bloke
  22. How good was this game! And Arshavin' 2nd and 4th goals! [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-MWvDLRfUM4]YouTube - Liverpool vs Arsenal 4-4 HD 720p[/ame]
  23. 12 million agreed
  24. Scottish football needs something like this to burst the current poor bubble and re-build. There are far too many clubs and far too many leagues. The criteria for the SPL is a joke and should be revised and just make the SPL have 16 teams.
  25. I hope this happens! Utter shite manager!
