Ive said for 4 or 5 years we should be playing 3-5-2. This brings an extra midfielder / winger in and keeps 2 upfront. WS played this in the 90s but had players well out of position like Craig Moore wearing the No.7 shirt in midfield hence why it didnt work. This system would benefit Davis as IMO his best role is playing inside right with a men wider than him and 2 tucked further in (1 holding - thomson / 1 offensive - Mendes). I would even say Weir could still fit in this system, you dont need all 3 centre halfs to be pacey, you just dont let Weir venture up the park. Plus we have Broadfoot coming back who could also fit into this system, so we have Bougherra, Weir, Wilson, Papac and Broadfoot all capable. I really hope Cardiff get promoted this season. I still think a breakaway will happen eventually whether it be some Euro league even if it meant staying in the SPL also. But its time to put this on the back burner and get the SPL / SFL to get their finger out their asses and make the Scottish game more attractive. Its embarrassing that the EPL can easily get their top men round a table to look at ways of keeping their league attractive for years to come whilst we have fat cats who cant organise a thing. The SPL MUST change to at least 16 teams and then set up a SPL 2, then the lower leagues have to be regionalised. I cant believe the current SPL bosses are more worried about stadia criteria than the future of the game!! Dundee, Partick, Dunfermline, Clyde to name a few all have stadia equal to St Johnstone, St Mirren and Falkirk etc so there is no excuse not to make a 16 team top league. At the moment we have a 2 team league then Hibs, Dundee Utd and Hearts (although crap this season) pushing on for a 3rd spot....if we got a few more teams in the league it may push these teams on even more and make them bigger which would make the league more interesting. Right now its a lottery for places between 3rd and 12th because there is no competition playing someone 4 times a season.

Other than us and Hearts, I dont know who is left in this cup. But this trophy should go back to its old dates of being completed in October. Whats the point of having a 4 month gap between the Semi's and the final? It penalises teams who have done well to get the semi's / final then suffer bad form or injuries. All the best finals I can remember were in October time bar 1 (Celtic at Hampden in 2003 when Hartson missed the pen and we won it 2-1) 1) The 3 finals against aberdeen in the late 80s were quality games - Cooper's rocket free kick! 2) Then the 4-3 against Hearts at Parkhead in 1996 was a classic - Gazza's 2 solo's after he downed a Whisky in the lounge at half time with his kit on! That was the game Neil McCann was found - he tore Moore apart on the wing. 3) Oh...and 1994 when McStay missed a penalty against Raith at Ibrox!

Yip, Man U were terrible and its a shame to say but Scholes was well out of his depth. he was truly a world class player but now nothing but a squad player for Man U. Losing Ronaldo opened up a lot of problems for Man U and they are in a false position. They should never have drew with Sunderland or beat Arsenal.

Agree with you on Levein, Ive never worked out why we would even mention him, mcghee or any other SPL manager. But whilst Billy Davies isnt an attractive appointment he seems to get the job done. Im not shouting for him to be my first pick but if we are cash strapped and needing a quick fix then give me him over Levein any day.

1-0 Liverpool - Torres! he is the difference between Liverpool being average and a quality team. Man U not at the races, I had them on half time / full time but they just cant get going. They are missing Ronaldo's class and quality. Torres would be an amazing signing for Man U.

Fraser, IMO the team just needs a bit of freshing up and a lift. Dont get me wrong, Walter has given me and a lot of posters on here their best Rangers memories but things are just stale and we need a spark. The first option is to change the management team - id never do this on a knee jerk reaction but lets get realistic and see that despite WS steadying the ship and winning back the league - the football has been more than awful and he hasnt taken us onto the next stage. For me, WS will forever be a Rangers legend for his first era, and to take us back to the championship and a European final says he is even more than that but at present we are in a bleak situation and we dont have a off the park soluation so something on the park has to give. We cant keep drawing games or a poor Celtic team will walk the league - they go back on top today even though we have won the first OF game. This current run of form should surely question whats going on. Maybe a change of the manager isnt the answer and maybe we just need a spark added to the coaching team like a Laudrup or a Gough, but we need something to happen.

Well done for then. This is the now and our current run of form and results is awful.

There will always be Rangers. However Im not one to jump on a bandwagon of changing management but we need a change to freshing things up. We are as dry as a bone.

Great title for this thread!!!! By all means tell me if im wrong. But are a few on here accepting this result?? I looked at the response in the Rangers v Hibs thread and people are saying it was a 'great game'! - Eh?????? Sorry but a draw isnt good enough for me despite how good a game it was. Ive never jumped on the WS must go bandwagon but it really is time for him to quit. 4 draws in 6 games in a nonsense - that after 2 Euro humpings! Any decent chairman would do the right thing! We are absolutely rank!!!!!

Time for the management to move aside! 4 draws in 6 league games and 2 European thumpings is awful form. Most clubs in the world would be questioning their management team.

Do Celtic still need to play Hamburg away? If so we get the game screened at Ibrox and have 1 quid entry for adults and 50p for kids and get a good support going for them.
