Speak of the devil! ^ Wabash, send Barry my wine, Im not a vino drinker, plus shipping overseas costs quite a bit!
-
I had no idea we even had a scout!!! Should we not be suing this guy? Norwich done well last season aswell!!
-
Oh well, time for another can of beer then! I'll be back in 36 hours again asking the same question! But this is worrying, Wabashcannonball's posts are starting to show some posture! Maybe he is david Murray!!

I see your angle Craig but when you take it into reality that Boyd was offered 15k (would that be right?) PER WEEK - guarenteed for 4 years - plus add on's - for playing for the club he supposedly loves then I have no time for the "improving lifestyle" argument. He got greedy - end of! I think WS's comments are brilliant - "he is leaving". Seems to me there was a bit of negotitation but WS wants things sorted out so he knows what tools he has next season to work with. You cant fuck the club about and try to get a better deal for himself. Either show commitment of your out the door. WS, AM, KM all worked without contracts last season and Boyd said signing these 3 up was the priority, I think he was being patronising at the time. Most on here will know Ive never been a fan of Boyd and I am looking forward to seeing his comment in a few years time "leaving Rangers was biggest regret" - That is a banker to happen!

Ive missed the last 36 hours due to some party antics, and I dont think I can read 16 pages....can someone confirm has any takeover happened???? Word was on Friday it was a done deal but i still cant find any official word??

Yip agreed. Wearing a rugby shirt is bad enough but American Football squad numbers takes the biscuit.

Velicka does look very wooden and not mobile at all but he can score goals. I say we give him Pre season to get fit then judge him on his next performances. But we have had some desperate strikers. Marcus Gayle was as bad as it got. The only decent short term striker we had was Nieto. Did he not score about 5 goals in 3 games then we decided to punt him away?

Rangers ahead of Wigan Athletic for Cardiff hero Ledley

A decent centre midfield / playmaker to fill in on the left?? -
Im with Flying Hippo and Gav, not a fan of managers announcing they are leaving in advance, as Gav says i think its the reason it cost us 10IAR. This might be in different circumstances though as there is not as much pressure to be successful in Europe and to win a historic number of titles, it may lay a few ghosts to rest!! But its a good bit of news to bring some stability in. As for the McCoist debate on taking over next year - thats probably for another day.

Dont like collars on football shirts. The design is quite good and I like the Tennents sponsor. Will depend on the fit and material, Umbro's kits havent been great at all in the last few years. Adidas loyal

That is the most black and white statement regarding any takeover yet, not to mention its patronising. - He is practically saying Im stepping aside. The longer it drags the more doubt it creates. Surely he originally was waiting to see if we have automatically entry to the Champions League - we got that so his Plan A should have been in place weeks ago.
-
Would go along with that as his defence for poor performances. But the same can be said for Lafferty.
-
Agree with Gav, dont understand the hype about Adam, he was awful for Gers. Seems he sorted his weight out and is doing well for Blackpool - fair play to him but until he starts dominating games in the premier league I'll not be raving about him. Fair strike from the free kick all the same though! If that was Beckham they would be wetting themselves about it.
-
I dont see him as a great player or a future captain. He hasnt cut it on a regular basis for me. I find Davis and Edu far more appealing in the centre.
-
Me too Hurlock, was hoping for Forest to go up. I thought this game would have been Forest v Leicester as they were the better teams overall in the season but it shows 1) the play offs are anyones guess and 2) my predictions are shite
-
Looking forward to this one. It would be an outstanding achievement for Blackpool to win. Have always wanted to see Cardiff in the Premier League to see what the opinion of having a Welsh side in the top league is. Surely can only give the OF a chance of making the switch one day. But at the same time I dont like the way Cardiff have managed to delay their tax issues simply because they have a chance of making the money but other teams gets the bill straight away. A few ex Gers on display today. Let the best team win. Blackpool 1-2 Cardiff

Should be a good game, both going for Trebles having won their domestic league and cup. If this was an English team going for a treble the media would be wetting themselves over it. Inter were my bet at the start of the tournament and I put a cheeky tenner on them at 20/1 so Im hoping for them to come through for that only. Id rather see Bayern win it. They have been brilliant to watch this season as Ive got the German leagues games on TV and took a good interest in it this season. Im sure Pete will agree its an league that is under rated. Im going for Bayern 2-1 Inter

Im gutted. He would have been the first name on my team sheet. All the best to him, will be keeping an eye on Gijons scores next season.

Campbell hasnt looked out of place at all playing for Arsenal this year. He was rusty in his first few games and looked off the pace but then ESPN showed clips of him from the last few months and he was putting in great tackles and getting back quickly. I think he'd stroll the SPL so I hope Arsenal keep him for another year.
-
Coming to think of it, that would have been a cracking trio to play in a 4-3-3.

Bit of a catch22. On one hand if they dont progress we gain more revenue this year. Yet if they do progress then it helps Scottish seedings points for future CL campaigns which we will desperatly need. If we retain most of our current squad and team morale id be quietly confident of us winning the league in the next year or 2. I like to see Scottish teams do well in Europe. I enjoy seeing Celtic get stuffed but i admit i have wanted them to win on occasion to give the middle finger up to some people who look down on the Scottish league. Yes it is a poor league but I still dont like outsiders calling it a joke when the OF have both reached euro finals in the last 7 years. The only reason other leagues are superior now is down to SKY's money. Before that then 4 or 5 Scottish teams were able to compete with any English side. Seeing Celtic beat Liverpool and Blackburn in 2003 was quite good but Porto winning the final topped it all. Its a bit like England at the World Cups. Good to have an interest in them being there but great to see them get knocked out.
-
Lovenkrands has been a top player for them this season. Still a player Id have liked to have brought back to Ibrox. He seems to be maturing into a better centre forward and his work rate is much better than it was.
-
Mmm Its very tempting to get involved in a Boyd debate I side with Danny and Flying Hippo though. Larsson and Boyd shouldnt be compared. Larsson was world class and had everything a striker needs in his game. He could score all types of goals and I doubt any Rangers fan would deny he wasnt world class. Its like Celtic fans comparing Hartson with Laudrup. If Boyd moves on to the bigger stage in the summer (Premier League) only then can we monitor how he does at a higher level.

Aside from goal of the season, McGregor surely wins save of the season for that absolute blinding save at Parkhead in the 1-1 draw when he tipped it over the bar. Incredible save. Forward to 1 min 20 sec [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FsWrFzAz_z0]YouTube- Allan Mcgregor save against celtic[/ame] And McCulloch's bullet header is up there for my goal of the season.
