Id still rather be going into September with more players than not although Im not sure we need Welcome when we already have Miller, Lafferty, Beattie, Naismith, Velicka, Fleck and possibly Jelavic. Wingers are priority followed by another central player. I really dont want to see Naismith, Lafferty or Whittaker be the planned wingers for the season so lets hope this guy follows in Bougherras footsteps. The arsenal kid could be good a for a year also.

That would be a magic place to go. The size of that standing section is massive. Quality stadium in general, certainly one of the most impossing places. The depth of the single tier stand is unreal. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Suedtribuene.jpg http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:S%C3%BCdtrib%C3%BCne.jpg

Its each to theor own but I cant work out why there would be "so many" quiet voices at games. Ok some go to just watch and arent singers in general which is fine but its seems to be a majority at some home games. It just seems people can only get excited depending on the opponent and competiton as the CL games are a different place. The Copland and the enclosures used to easily have the most singing when I was going to regular games. What we need is a few more sections spread out over the ground so singing isnt just coming from one area like TBO at the moment. Bring back terracing in the enclosures!!! I mainly prefer to stand watching games whether it be at the ground or in a pub. Ive even seen myself standing at home watching matches if Ive got a carryout But then you cant have it for all, a 79 year old geezer needs a seat and doesnt want loud ones jumping infront of him, same for a young kid with their dad.

Even if Jelavic signs Id still be putting Miller upfront with him before any of our other strikers. Velicka hasnt kicked a ball for over a year, Naismith still has it all prove, Beattie could be another Marcus Gayle or he could be a hit - thats still be seen and Lafferty still has to be consistant. I cant see why some would be ok with Miller being sold unless we had better replacements yet not mention the likes of Velicka. It may come down to what McCoist wants though. WS seems to be a fan of Miller (rigthly so IMO) but its going to be Allys team next year. As for Jelavic I just wish we would get the guy signed. Ive got a good feeling about him.

Blow for Scotland also. He will probably miss the first 2 qualifiers and we needed our strongest midfield available.

You dont like Kyle do you!

I looked at the starting XI on BBC and wondered who Beattie was. I thought he was some youngster for a minute then it clicked Mind you i am minced after 84 cans of tiger :spl:
-
I bet he cant give top odds like you tho! :spl:

Great news! Im a big fan of Miller and McGregor on his day isnt far off the top 5 keepers in Britain. How old is Papac btw?

I think the bellamy deal will depend on McAvennie Jnr being sold. If that is the case i hope he doesnt go, Bellamy is far far a better player.

So, the Jig is in for a wee while longer..
Gribz replied to Rangers Football Club's topic in Rangers Chat
McCulloch improved last season as the games went on and had a few good games in the midfield. I sense that once a player reaches the 30 mark they appreicate what they have more and dont jump ship like a few other so called players who were supposedly been happy at Ibrox. McCulloch isnt my favourtie player but I think he will be quite important this season as long as he isnt centre half. Id like to see him pay further forward again, his best games for Wigan, Scotland and his first since months at Rangers were easily as an attacking left midfielder. -
An Audi! Surely Lafferty will look down at that :fish: It would be nice to see the odd player giving away a free car to charity or walking into a supporters bar and doing a raffle and then giving it to the winner. You dont hear about these things anymore, money has gone to players heads. Despite being in our worst financial position of recent years some of our players are still taking 60k home a month!!!

Bellamy is a cracking player on his day but he can easily sulk and be sent off. There isnt much between Bellamy and Keane - 2 quality strikers but Keane has the temperment.
-
Beattie makes boyd look like Usain Bolt But that aside, he is a decent striker but I dont think he will start the game.
-
I'll be having a bit of 3-0 aswell. Miller, Davis, Whittaker.
-
Young fraser got his for 15 quid somewhere.
-
I think an improved lafferty (attitude) is capable of 15-20 goals through the middle. Miller will get the same if he stays injury free. If we get Naismith chipping in with 10 plus jelavic (should he sign) gets double figures we are on course. The likes of Davis and Edu are capable of a few plus Whittaker and McCulloch get the odd screamer.

He is linked with both us and QPR hence the confusion

Havent seen the guy play but the SPL may suit him. I remember Steven Davis not exciting me too much either as he was moved on from Villa but has turned out to be a terrific player.

Isnt opinions a great thing! Myself along with a few others (probably minority in this forum) wouldnt have had Boyd in their first XI last season yet others had him down as their first name. Lafferty seems to be spliting the support also. I definatly think he has hidden talent and to get it out of him he needs 3 things 1) To remember he isnt bigger than the club and that it would be downhill career wise after Rangers. 2) Played as a striker or an inside left striker of a front three (not a winger) 3) He needs to mature quite a bit (remember he is only 22). If we got these 3 things I think he have a player who can get 20 goals a season. Whilst I want Jelavic to sign Im not a fan of using Lafferty and Naismith for that matter as wingers. Id definatly have them as part of a front 3 though.

Cheers Craig. Easier if everyone just drops there name in here and it can be allocated. Needs names folks...first game coming up shortly.....

As Juffery says we cant sell anyone else. Id put Miller in the must keep bracket at the moment, certainly one of the better performers since he came back.

I thought Hemdani was one of our better players of recent seasons, he was a clever player who controlled play well with good passing and vision. Wasnt world class but certainly a good player.

I bet Mark Hughes is kicking himself for taking over at Fulham. I wouldnt be surprised to see him be in the running and jump ship. I think Jol would fancy it with Villa being a more attractive club than Fulham. West Ham's odds should shorten at the weekend then
