It is a blip but it could be a long term blip if things arent freshened up. Its still only November and the that means the busiest period is still yet to arrrive. Last December we had 7 matches alone. Players arent going to automatically gain fitness, they need to be given a rest so its all about utilising the small squad. However playing 2 sets of 90 mins matches a week shouldnt be a problem for some players, crikey kids play 4 or 5 times a week, the important thing will be recovery and training methods along with mental fitness. IMO Bougherra is suffering a bit from playing in the World Cup (shame eh...pro footballer, playing in Champions league and World cup - tough life! ) A lot of unnecessary pressure is being added to Saturdays game just because its Aberdeen and has to be a must win. For me we should look at it as a home game to remain top of the league against one of the league poorest sides and what ever XI put out should be more than good enough if they give it 100%.

Who's down for the Aberdeen preview??

Scotland squad - Whittaker, Naisy selected
Gribz replied to Rangers Football Club's topic in Rangers Chat
If thats the future of Scotland then its more bleak than I thought. Its back to Vogts days when I cant even recognise players faces in the line up. Im going to put some cash on Faroe's getting at least a draw. -
Yeah mostly agreed, but Weiss seems to have been disappointing on the left whereas he looked much better in his first few games on the right. Broadfoot has played well in every game he has appeared in this season while Whittaker has been awful of late and needs a rest. Foster played well in the Champions league so could easily give Papac a rest. Id imagine Foster would be well up for playing against Aberdeen. The sort of change for a game Id like to see would be Bougherra moving into the holding midfield role with either Fleck, Davis or Naismith playing ahead of him in a diamond. Bougherra has looked flat at the back so maybe giving him a move into the midfield would put a spark into him. Young Hutton should definitely be another option, we just need a fresh pair of legs in the midfield.

Agreed Dan. For example Miller has mostly been playing upfront on his on but why not put him on the bench and have Lafferty through the middle on his own, but he put them both on tonight. WS just likes to accommodate certain players which is the worst thing to do.
-
The middle is the area Ive worried about since the summer. Its looked stale in the last few matches and now Edu has an injury so we are down to the bare bones. Its a great chance to unleash Fleck and make us more attacking.
-
Its more of a sickener because we lost a home match and TBH we should be going near on a full season without losing against any SPL side at Ibrox. The odd freak result like last night will happen every so often and it is a freak result. A defeat had to happen at some point and id rather take it against Hibs than Aberdeen this Saturday. Hopefully the warnings signs are put up and a backlash happens this weekend.

Hearts were 5/1 and like Inverness on Tuesday I didnt end up taking it, I took 3/1 on the draw instead. But a nice way to lose a tenner when Celtic lose. Read a stat, thats the first time since 1972 that the Edinburgh sides have beaten the Old firm on the same day.

A darker border round the boxes would be great....for example this quick reply box. I can barely see the lines around this quick reply box.

Gutted I didnt back Inverness. I was close to sticking a decent amount on them but didnt bother in the end. Aberdeen cant afford to sack McGhee. My mates in sheepland discussing on facebook that if they sack him they will have to use up the tiny transfer kitty they are supposed to be giving him in january, meaning if they do sack him any new boss will have zero to spend. Im enjoying seeing the cockey twat McGhee fail. But at the same time it shows that club is rotten behind the scenes as mcGhee did ok at Motherwell. Getting rid of the 2 Jimmys has backedfired. And owner Stewart Milne isnt exactly short of cash - he is worth about 70 million.

Gribz says thank you to Frankie for this useful post

Dont mind a wee change every so often. Look forward to getting a bit more blue in the background. Although the previous layout was perfect IMO

Is this a new look or temp? The site was down most of your night time today.

St Mirren 1 - 3 Rangers: Player Ratings and MoM Poll
Gribz replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
Im gonna agree with Frankie and say Lafferty. Nobody deserved it in the first half as it was rank, but Lafferty made a big difference and contribution in the 2nd. He could become an important player in the next few months until Jelavic comes back. -
Much better 2nd half, and Lafferty made a difference, he is coming onto a game at a good time as he should still be pretty much 100% as he hasnt played much. Miller took his goal well. Good scoreline in the end, I'll take any 3-1 win at an ugly ground like St Mirren.

Chelsea are being shown up performance wise everytime they get a test. Arsenal and Blackburn were better than them even though they lost, Man City and Liverpool were easily better and beat them plus Villa drew. even Wolves deserved something from them. Chelsea have had the luck of the fixture list with Wolves, West Brom, Wigan and Stoke at home. Just a shame Arsenal are so inconsistant. Wenger is going to have to bite the bullet and get a keeper or he can expect more home defeats like West Brom and Newcastle.
-
Terry hasnt been nearly as good in last 2 seasons or without Carvalho. King and Ferdinand are better than him when fit.
-
Terrible first half. Why was the goal chopped off? I was on the phone and didnt see the replay.
-
Surprising, I thought we'd see a few changes. When everyone is fit you could argue only Jelavic could get in that line up...so WS might be going for this one. Considering we have Hibs midweek at home perhaps a few changes will wait until there. 3-0 Gers.
-
They have Englands best centre half in Ledley King when he is fit. And they have 2 cracking strikers in Defoe and Keane, the first is injured and Redknapp doesnt like the 2nd and would rather play an 9ft dumpling.
-
Yip can see a scoreline like that today. If anything that 9-0 yesterday will only make us more up for it.

How can you back up that Iraq and Afghan would have bombed our country? By listening to the script fed mainstream media??? Its you and Totti that need to do research. The supposed reason for invasion of Iraq was WMD and it was PROVEN there was NONE. So how does that justify invasion? And now they are trying the same story with Iran, will they be a threat to US and UK also? Wake up! Another fact! Those Al Qaeda bombers are a creation of the CIA - go look that up!!! For me, wearing a poppie is all about respecting those who fallen at all wars - WW1 and 2, falklands, Gulf War 1 where invaded Iraq was justified after they invaded Kuwait... Celtic banning this is another matter and story, yes they are incorrect to do so but Im purely talking about the banner about Afghan and iraq...Im against both these invasions. If you want a discussion about it then PM me, we'll leave this thread to the football.

Only because Almunia is injured, and he has had some howlers. Mcgregor is better than both of them in goal at the same time.

Sorry but the Iraq and Afghanistan comments are spot on there. Can someone explain to me when those 2 countries last attacked Britain prior to the invasion? Both were illegal invasions. I do feel for the people in the forces who are made to go and fight someone else's war based on a pack of lies. Anyway thats nothing to do with football. As for the result, absolute joke. Bet Lennon and mcGhee were humping each other after that.

Yip cracking game, Bolton were on cruise control at 3-0 and hit the post and should have had a pen. Was delighted Hutton got that goal, Redknapp has taken his time to even play Hutton and that shows what he is capable of. Glad the better team won in the end.
