  1. Hearts were 5/1 and like Inverness on Tuesday I didnt end up taking it, I took 3/1 on the draw instead. But a nice way to lose a tenner when Celtic lose. Read a stat, thats the first time since 1972 that the Edinburgh sides have beaten the Old firm on the same day.
  2. A darker border round the boxes would be great....for example this quick reply box. I can barely see the lines around this quick reply box.
  3. Gutted I didnt back Inverness. I was close to sticking a decent amount on them but didnt bother in the end. Aberdeen cant afford to sack McGhee. My mates in sheepland discussing on facebook that if they sack him they will have to use up the tiny transfer kitty they are supposed to be giving him in january, meaning if they do sack him any new boss will have zero to spend. Im enjoying seeing the cockey twat McGhee fail. But at the same time it shows that club is rotten behind the scenes as mcGhee did ok at Motherwell. Getting rid of the 2 Jimmys has backedfired. And owner Stewart Milne isnt exactly short of cash - he is worth about 70 million.
  4. Gribz says thank you to Frankie for this useful post
  5. Dont mind a wee change every so often. Look forward to getting a bit more blue in the background. Although the previous layout was perfect IMO
  6. Is this a new look or temp? The site was down most of your night time today.
  7. Im gonna agree with Frankie and say Lafferty. Nobody deserved it in the first half as it was rank, but Lafferty made a big difference and contribution in the 2nd. He could become an important player in the next few months until Jelavic comes back.
  8. Much better 2nd half, and Lafferty made a difference, he is coming onto a game at a good time as he should still be pretty much 100% as he hasnt played much. Miller took his goal well. Good scoreline in the end, I'll take any 3-1 win at an ugly ground like St Mirren.
  9. Chelsea are being shown up performance wise everytime they get a test. Arsenal and Blackburn were better than them even though they lost, Man City and Liverpool were easily better and beat them plus Villa drew. even Wolves deserved something from them. Chelsea have had the luck of the fixture list with Wolves, West Brom, Wigan and Stoke at home. Just a shame Arsenal are so inconsistant. Wenger is going to have to bite the bullet and get a keeper or he can expect more home defeats like West Brom and Newcastle.
  10. Terry hasnt been nearly as good in last 2 seasons or without Carvalho. King and Ferdinand are better than him when fit.
  11. Terrible first half. Why was the goal chopped off? I was on the phone and didnt see the replay.
  12. Surprising, I thought we'd see a few changes. When everyone is fit you could argue only Jelavic could get in that line up...so WS might be going for this one. Considering we have Hibs midweek at home perhaps a few changes will wait until there. 3-0 Gers.
  13. They have Englands best centre half in Ledley King when he is fit. And they have 2 cracking strikers in Defoe and Keane, the first is injured and Redknapp doesnt like the 2nd and would rather play an 9ft dumpling.
  14. Yip can see a scoreline like that today. If anything that 9-0 yesterday will only make us more up for it.
  15. How can you back up that Iraq and Afghan would have bombed our country? By listening to the script fed mainstream media??? Its you and Totti that need to do research. The supposed reason for invasion of Iraq was WMD and it was PROVEN there was NONE. So how does that justify invasion? And now they are trying the same story with Iran, will they be a threat to US and UK also? Wake up! Another fact! Those Al Qaeda bombers are a creation of the CIA - go look that up!!! For me, wearing a poppie is all about respecting those who fallen at all wars - WW1 and 2, falklands, Gulf War 1 where invaded Iraq was justified after they invaded Kuwait... Celtic banning this is another matter and story, yes they are incorrect to do so but Im purely talking about the banner about Afghan and iraq...Im against both these invasions. If you want a discussion about it then PM me, we'll leave this thread to the football.
  16. Only because Almunia is injured, and he has had some howlers. Mcgregor is better than both of them in goal at the same time.
  17. Sorry but the Iraq and Afghanistan comments are spot on there. Can someone explain to me when those 2 countries last attacked Britain prior to the invasion? Both were illegal invasions. I do feel for the people in the forces who are made to go and fight someone else's war based on a pack of lies. Anyway thats nothing to do with football. As for the result, absolute joke. Bet Lennon and mcGhee were humping each other after that.
  18. Yip cracking game, Bolton were on cruise control at 3-0 and hit the post and should have had a pen. Was delighted Hutton got that goal, Redknapp has taken his time to even play Hutton and that shows what he is capable of. Glad the better team won in the end.
  19. I wouldnt entertain anything less than 11 or 12 million. I dont give a monkeys if clubs in England or Spain think they can get him on the cheap because he is playing in Scotland, a keeper's value should be seperate. Id put McGregor up there in the top 5 keepers in Britain and the likes of Petr Cech would go for 18 million upwards. The guy could walk into Man Utd or Arsenal (not tricky, Im probably better than Almunia) and be their No.1
  20. I was close to putting a similar defence to Frankie i.e. Foster RB, Broadfoot and Bougherra in the middle with Papac LB. Both Bougherra and Weir could be done with a rest, Bougherra due to looking jaded and Weir because we are going to need him to last the season. Webster really needs to shake a leg and make himself available. Weir has missed less games than Webster has played for Gers in the last 3 years which is almost disgusting. But id like to see the trio I put in the middle. I think Davis plays better in a inside right role, and with McCulloch sitting infront of the back 4 young Hutton could get about the park. Cant see why Beattie isnt fit, he hasnt done anything to get an injury. Cant wait for big Jelavic to get back but in the meantime Lafferty is still an good option plus Fleck could be done with getting some match time.
  21. Agreed a few changes in the team would be refreshing. Would prefer to do that at Ibrox all the same as tight wee grounds like St Mirren are always tricky. Id like to see something like 4-3-3 / 4-5-1 with this liine up and with Fleck (if fit) getting some game time also. Or perhaps possibly resting Papac who is a key player and playing Foster. Miller has been superb this season with a cracking goal ratio but could be done with the first hour on the bench: :kb::mb::sp: :sd::lm::kh: :sn::kl::vw:
  22. Agree with you except the bold bit...Dens Park is a dump. If the SPL got their finger out and just increased the number in each league and reduced the amount of divisions then good sized clubs like Dunfermline, Dundee, Falkirk and Partick would be in better positions, in fact all clubs could be in a better position. There is no need for 4 divisions.
  23. It rotates, in the 90s Serie A was by far the best standard then La Liga came strong. In the last 5 years the English Premier has been strong with 3 or 4 clubs regularly getting to at least the semi's and the so called big 4 all being in the final for 5 years running (Liverpool 05, Arsenal 06, liverpool 07, Man Utd / Chelsea 08, Man Utd 09) but now it seems to be a bit more even with the Spanish and Italians getting stronger again. Personally Id rather watch the Bundesliga ahead of la Liga unless its Barca v Real. I find the German league entertaining and some good football on show. Chelsea are the strongest at the moment in EPL and agree with the opening post Man Utd are on a bit of a decline (although it could be a rebuild), had they got a player like Van Der Vaart, Kaka, Sneijder, Ozil then they would be a different team. Arsenal for me are a keeper, top defender and a bit of good luck with injuries away from easily being the best side in England.
  24. I think he'd be a decent addition, especially on a free.
  25. I was wrong to say 2-0 Valencia last time so I'll not do the same again. 0-0 for me.
