Yip thought he played well but Weir was outstanding for me. I dont find it a coincidence that so many other defenders seem to play well when they are next to Weir. Thats Wilson, Bougherra and Broadfoot.
-
TBH I think this game has been in the minds of everyone, even WS. Im sure WS has a wee thing to beat Fergie and he can pull something off. The formation will be interesting, the 5-4-1 has been good in Europe but with no Bougherra it may change.
-
Its a good job Barry is into a wee bit of dope and drink to calm himself
-
No way chaps. Im confident in this one. They only nicked it 1-0 in 2003 with a late Phil neville goal, they arent as good as they were and if we can draw 0-0 at Old Trafford then we beat them at the Brox.

Gersnet wouldnt be Gersnet with no downtime. Best forum around...11 months out of 12

If there is money available then the team could be done with 2 fresh additions in midfield and defence. Having Kerbar (sp?) available now is a good addition but we were always going to be light in the centre mid once Kevin Thomson was sold. Fleck is more of an attacking mid for me so cant count in the position Edu, McCulloch and Davis can play. So a centre mid is top priority along. Webster is a joke, if he was even available for the odd game it would make a difference. Getting Jelavic back will be a blessing.
-
Anyone know the latest on Jelavic and when he is due back??

Sorry to nick your thread Ian This time last month id be confident saying Rangers 2-0 Man Utd. At the moment I'll go for: Rangers 1-0 Man Utd Miller
-
Talk about a game of 2 halfs. Arsenal fuck up at home again.
-
Shouldnt that be dont make you laugh? Im laughing at the moment as Miller bangs in another 3 today.

Cracking game so far. I half fancied Spurs to get a result today but Arsenal have shown up. Strolling it at 2-0. Nasri is the best player in the league at the moment by a mile. Should see the Goons be top of the league and Brum will get something off Chelsea.
-
Kilmarnock have been playing well of late, couple of good 3-0 wins at Hearts and St Johnstone so I think it will be tight. Kilmarnock 0 Rangers 1 that man Miller again
-
Agree RE Webster. In all other jobs he would have been released a long time ago. Not sure the stance with footballers, Managers can get the sack no problem so why cant players.
-
Anyone know what the crowd was? BBC have it down as 25,064 which is impossible as Pittodrie only holds about 20,000.

As a big Scotland fan in the past, my support for the national team is slowly drifting. I just cant get excited about anything Craig Levein does or says. The lack of ambition shown from the SFA and the "it must be a scotsman in charge" just derails the good work Walter and McLeish did by appointing an alcoholic then a run of the mill SPL manager. WS had us up to 19th in the rankings, and now we sit 57th!! Thats ridiculous. That 4-6-0 is going to come back to haunt Levein.
-
But its an attacking midfield with all 5 capable of getting forward. Still wouldnt be surprised if Faroes got a draw.

Darkening the border has helped heeps, thanks. Just one more, the "whats going on section" at the bottom on main forum page which shows 1) Currently active users. 2) Total members that visiting site today and 3) Gersnet Stats.....a highlighted box around each section would look better. Could make the first red, second white and third blue.

Would be good if every box on the page from this box we type in to the thread boxes had a darker border around them.

It is a blip but it could be a long term blip if things arent freshened up. Its still only November and the that means the busiest period is still yet to arrrive. Last December we had 7 matches alone. Players arent going to automatically gain fitness, they need to be given a rest so its all about utilising the small squad. However playing 2 sets of 90 mins matches a week shouldnt be a problem for some players, crikey kids play 4 or 5 times a week, the important thing will be recovery and training methods along with mental fitness. IMO Bougherra is suffering a bit from playing in the World Cup (shame eh...pro footballer, playing in Champions league and World cup - tough life! ) A lot of unnecessary pressure is being added to Saturdays game just because its Aberdeen and has to be a must win. For me we should look at it as a home game to remain top of the league against one of the league poorest sides and what ever XI put out should be more than good enough if they give it 100%.

Who's down for the Aberdeen preview??

Scotland squad - Whittaker, Naisy selected
Gribz replied to Rangers Football Club's topic in Rangers Chat
If thats the future of Scotland then its more bleak than I thought. Its back to Vogts days when I cant even recognise players faces in the line up. Im going to put some cash on Faroe's getting at least a draw. -
Yeah mostly agreed, but Weiss seems to have been disappointing on the left whereas he looked much better in his first few games on the right. Broadfoot has played well in every game he has appeared in this season while Whittaker has been awful of late and needs a rest. Foster played well in the Champions league so could easily give Papac a rest. Id imagine Foster would be well up for playing against Aberdeen. The sort of change for a game Id like to see would be Bougherra moving into the holding midfield role with either Fleck, Davis or Naismith playing ahead of him in a diamond. Bougherra has looked flat at the back so maybe giving him a move into the midfield would put a spark into him. Young Hutton should definitely be another option, we just need a fresh pair of legs in the midfield.
-
Agreed Dan. For example Miller has mostly been playing upfront on his on but why not put him on the bench and have Lafferty through the middle on his own, but he put them both on tonight. WS just likes to accommodate certain players which is the worst thing to do.
-
The middle is the area Ive worried about since the summer. Its looked stale in the last few matches and now Edu has an injury so we are down to the bare bones. Its a great chance to unleash Fleck and make us more attacking.
-
Its more of a sickener because we lost a home match and TBH we should be going near on a full season without losing against any SPL side at Ibrox. The odd freak result like last night will happen every so often and it is a freak result. A defeat had to happen at some point and id rather take it against Hibs than Aberdeen this Saturday. Hopefully the warnings signs are put up and a backlash happens this weekend.
