Jens Lehmann returns until the end of the season!!! Didnt think Wenger would go for a veteran but it isnt a bad one if he is fit. He was the keeper during the invincibles and may be the bit of leadership they need for the title. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/12735013.stm

Certainly a chunk of the section behind the goal of the traditional Rangers end should be bouncing for 90 mins. Its just a shame Hampden doesnt hold another 20000 these days to give it a real atmosphere.

I think Wenger would still put Bartley out on loan even if he is in his plans. He wont walk straight into the first team as there is 4 centre halfs ahead of him and wenger likes his promising players to be playing. Even Wiltshire was on loan as recent as last year and Ramsay and Vela are out on loan. Wenger will probably also see Rangers as a better place for Bartley to develop and not have to worry about puting him on loan to another EPL club to gain high experience. But as much as the CL would be good for Bartley if Wenger got desperate and needed to recall him in an injury crisis then he would be cup tied...but thats unlucky.

Accomodating players is something that has stretched back to McLeish's days but its getting beyond a joke now. The worst thing to come of it is the players who are ready to step in must be wondering if they are good enough. Likes of Hutton and Ness must be wondering what is going on when they come in and play well only to be dropped after 2 games. Then there is Kerkar who was signed and hasnt kicked a ball yet Lafferty (who cant play left ever) and Whittaker are preferred to be a winger. Id have no problem moving Bartley or Bougherra into midfield but would prefer them to be the centre back pairing. Bougherra has been an option for midfield for a while with his strong runs.

Id have Broadfoot in there ahead of Whittaker also but the sad thing is once Broadfoot comes back Whittaker becomes a permanent midfielder which is worse!

We have a winner. Well done that man.

Goodwilliam supposed to have scored goal of the season yesterday for Utd.

Well overdue a Boyd thread He moved on loan to Notts Forest last week. Going from bottom of Championship with about 4 goals at Boro to promotion chasing forest. His form so far: First game they leading Sheff Utd away after 70 mins by 1-0...Boyd came on a 72 mins and they lost 2-1. Yesterday 0-0 at home to Doncaster. He played the last Half hour. Not winding anyone up but I knew he was a fraud and we were better off without him  Awaits a SuperAlly battering

Not when Van Der Saar is 40 and coming out with a performance like he did yesterday.

4 million?? Double it and a conversation could then begin but even then it would be the lowest figure.

Old Firm Response To Summit and Full Summit Statement
Gribz replied to Rangers Football Club's topic in Rangers Chat
Alex Salmond shouldnt even be allowed to comment on the weather never mind anything else. -
Really does depend on the team and formation. Attack minded and I'll say 3-0. (Jelavic 2, Bartley)

Crikey, If I saw that hospitality package earlier Id have made the trip.

Even Ness recent burst on the scene and the good performances from Weiss merit it more than others. Weir deserves to be there for his performances from Aug until Dec, the overall season has to be counted for and not just the current form.
-
Kenny Miller for me. And agreed McGregor should easily be in the list. If Whittaker wins it then we have sank to a new low.

Ignore that last one, Ive knocked a quick preview up mate.

'Old Firm games behind closed doors? We may as well shut down the league'
Gribz replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Its not exactly the same as some games in South American or even Italy where the crime levels can be far more fierce. Im not defending immature behaviour at these games but to discuss closed door games is too far. If that was ever the case the OF should flex their muscles and not accept away tickets for the other clubs for a period to hit the whole league in the pocket. -
Albertz is the sort of ex player who should be part of the backroom staff in any capacity. He is up there with 1 of WS best signings.

Dont know about that, Everton have been awful this season at home even West Brom won 4-1 at Goodison. If Brum lose to Chelsea in last game in hand then they would go back into the drop zone on GD. Id say Wigan will go but its any 2 from Wolves, West Ham, Birmingham, West Brom, Blackpool and Blackburn. Wolves and West Ham finding form at the right time though.

Yup Bartley for the goal. 3 ugly welcome points...same again at Tannadice and St Johnstone and we are 1 pt clear. Awful team selection though. -
