  1. Wheres the preview for tonights game Craig? Surely you still cant be feeling the effects of all that champers from your birthday last week?
  2. The thing with Wilkins is he is a gentleman and i dont think money is his first desire. I definetly think he'd fancy a taking on such role for maybe one season. Ally has learned a lot from being a no.2 but stepping up to no.1 is a different game and to turn to an experienced no.2 would see him through his first season a lot easier IMO.
  3. Im happy to give Ally a crack at it, but Id be a lot more happy with Ally if we got a bigger name / good No.2 brought in like Ray Wilkins. No disrespect to Kenny McDowall or Durrant but having an experienced guy like Wilkins would make a huge difference.

    El-Hadji Diouf

Would rather have Diouf than Beattie back, but Weiss and Bartley would be way ahead of Diouf. We could get a lot worse players but if he doesnt stay on then its no great loss.
  5. If we are dipping into the SPL for players top of list (and it would be a short list from the SPL) would be Eremenko from Killie. I think he would fit into our midfield fine.

    I predict

Killie getting a draw isnt to impossible and will have a wee bet on that, but Im more looking at Tuesday as I think Hearts could also get a point.
  7. Was expecting last weeks Arsenal v Man U game to be a title decider but Arsenal messed up with too many silly draws and now Chelsea have crawled back. I hope Man U win, would like to see Ferguson get his 19th title which knocks Liverpool off their perch. Should be a good game, 2-1 Man U.
  8. Davis has had some stinkers this season though. Ok if it was a big Euro game and we were picking first choice team then we'd play Davis. But Ness was very effective and looks a player in the making.

    I predict

A title party on Tuesday against Utd. Killie to beat Celtic tomorrow. We shall not be moved.................
  10. Did this earlier but the site went down. Overall the XI over the season would be the following for me. Anyone differ? :sw::mb::sp: :sn::lm::jn::vw: :nj: Mcgregor POTY. Whittaker did have some horrors but has been good recently and hasnt had competition bar Foster playing well for a few games. Same for Bougherra and Weir, both had a stutter but there hasnt been any better. Bartley did come in and was impressive but he didnt play enough games. McCulloch pips Davis in the centre, while Ness nicks the other centre mid spot from Hutton. Naismith and Weiss stroll the RM and LM spots. Upfront had we had Miller and Jelavic together for a full season I think our goal difference would be far better.
  11. Bain has given himself some credibility in the last year or 2. He went from being a suntanned yes man early on to then start coming out and defending the club well. Im not sure about his full role and if he has any responsibility on bad financial decisions but Im not sure it would be wise to get rid of him straight away unless a better CE is ready to step in. This will be an interesting one.
  12. Im 1 hour ahead of you Bear so about to crack open a few cold ones...its an absolute scortcher today. I dont think Ive ever wanted a title more so than 9IAR, and Im not sure that will be replaced. In 2008 when we were screwed because of the fixture list that was as close as it came, plus last year was sweet to do back to back titles again. This one ranks highly though....cant wait for kick off now.
  13. I also wonder if the 5 mill for new players or is this is budget for new players plus tieing up current players who are going to be out of contract.
  14. The Beattie signing was terrible, forking out over 1million for a past it when that money could have covered more than Novo wanted to stay. Healy has been unlucky, barely played and when he has he has been fine. I think he would play well with Jelavic. Would much rather keep Healy than get Beattie back in the summer.
  15. There has been a feeling about 1998 throughout the season. However since the split its seems to have disappeared for me and now Im confident we have 3 in a row IF we do the job against Hearts and Utd. I actually think Celtic will drop more points again at either Killie or Hearts.
  16. Im just wondering when the pressure is off a bit (Since the Dundee Utd home loss) we seem to go out win games with the odd battering (4-0 at Tannadice and 5-0 Fir park). So will be interesting to see the reaction on Saturday when its now back in our hands. I hope WS doesnt set us up not to lose games as thats how we've dropped points in the past. I think it will be cagey, Hearts are a good team. Rangers 2-1 Hearts Jelavic, Naismith
  17. I fancied Caley to get a point but to wake up this morning at 6am and see 3-2 made me jump outta bed. As Ian said...its back in ours hands and we play first again at the weekend
  18. Would be brilliant to get him back for another season. He is the sort of player Arsenal actually need at the moment though.
  19. Well done Norwich. Back to back promotions. Lambert has done a great job there. Play offs should be good, Forest hitting form at the right time but I have a sneaky feeling Swansea will go up. Cardiff seem to bottle it every season.
  20. The last goal was quality. The pass from Diouf was heavy and he did well to control it then hit it like that.
  21. no probs, but you'll get it in the match thread.
  22. It would be nice to email this back to him if the title stays at Ibrox. I agree kepping Miller would have been a better option, he would have got another 10 goals added to Jelavics total and the goal difference which could be a factor would be tighter.
  23. I plan on watching it at home so will be online while its on
  24. The Premier League doesnt like Warnock Relegated with Sheff Utd despite the Tevez thing and now a chance of missing out on promotion.
  25. Motherwell 0-2 Rangers Jelavic 2
