  1. noticed he didnt play on Sat. Is he injured? I dont trust Redknapp with him, he only looks out for himself. Hutton is easily in the best 5 RBs in UK
  2. If he gives half the same commitment then we have a player!
  3. :surprised: No wonder u look a bit out of shape in ur avator. Craig hasnt splashed the cash for a while so have another one on him
  4. Have to say, I enjoy this thread the most out of the week. I dont get to see the games much anymore so rely on the sain view from Gersnet. I did catch the first half on Sat and Weiss was outstanding but Jelavic should get it for a hattick. Is he the new Prso???
  5. Fannies  Roger the message tho Frankie.... for all
  6. Saw bits of the game and he looked quite good. But what concerns me is WS is prepared to drop Ness who is on top form to play a centre half in midfield rather than give Weir a break when he has been struggling of late. Its WS accommodating players again. Weir could have been done with a break today considering the mass fixture pile up coming. It was a home SPL match which we strolled so an ideal opportunity to rest him. But its refreshing to know Bartley is vertisile which could be key over the next few months.
  7. Webster is an embarrassment. 90 mins today proves there must have been something else wrong rather than his fitness.
  8. Lottery numbers please Zappa???
  9. Yip and not just Rangers, Scottish football is all about skinning a dummy and sprinting to the other end. Very little ball work involved at all. I was watching Denmark v England the other day and Denmark who are a tiny nation also were passing the ball about really well in the centre of midfield against players from the so called top league in the world. But the one thing i noticed was the movement of the players nearest the guy with the ball, all 3 or 4 were always on the move and making themselves available going forward. Ok Denmark lost the game but were the better team for the bits i watched.
  10. I await Gav and Gisabeers comments on this
  11. 3-0 Diouf 2 and Jelavic
  12. Dannys team is ok if Naismith gets his early season form back but lately he has been a bit hot and cold and I wasnt impressed in the OF game. Also seeing Diouf's quality means Id rather him play wider or as the man behind the striker because his feet and passing was quality it would be a shame to waste him up top alone. Perhaps he can get the best out of Lafferty with his service.
  13. Was thinking that with the stadium, if we had maintained that then it would have cleared a game. However like Stewarty, got to remain the optimist...perhaps this is a bit of karma for 2008 and we go on to win the treble by playing these 4 games in 8 days. That said surely its a no brainer to call out and get the League Cup completed by October like it used to be from now on.
  14. Never really rated Lennon either, maybe his gob was too busy in the way of anyone even noticing anything else. But he was playing next to a top notch player in Paul Lambert and thats probably the reason anyone thought he was good.
  15. I said last season Bougherra would be a better midfielder as he is strong and has great runs from the back. If we had Weir and Webster at the time playing well then Bougherra would have been a good option in midfield. But no way can we let him out the defence at the moment. And yes Bougherra is also our best RB.
  16. Its a bit of handbags, wasnt as much as the game with Woods, Butcher and McAvennie. Get Graham Roberts orchastrating the bears for Billy Boys again in the next OF. LIke Craig I thought Diouf handled himself well as i thought he would react. Cant wait to see him in the away game a week on Sunday.

    John Fleck

Obviously WS and AM are not seeing enough of him in training to believe he is capable of starting, but that doesnt help they have their favourites who start regardless of form. I would like to see a bit more of Fleck in a position he is most comfortable. Its whether the management feel putting Fleck, Kerkar, Weiss, Ness, Hutton and Bartley in between now and the end of the season is too much of a gamble, but IMO id be hoping to see all of these player involved between now and May.
  18. Diouf deserves credit for not biting to Broon. I was expecting a huge right hand at the time.
  19. Stevey boy couldnt repeat his Dutch success in Germany. He should get a job back in England no problem though. I wouldnt have said no to him coming in to replace WS. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/9390250.stm
  20. Tournament starts tonight with Rep Ireland v Wales then Scotland v N Ireland tomorrow. I hope its a success, its certainly more attractive than playing the Faroes in a friendly. The only down side for me is it starts this week then completes in May, it would be better just to have the full thing in May. Scotland Squad for NI game:
  21. As someone mentioned the other day the last few weeks have had 1998 feeling all over again. And to an extent a lot of similarities like: 1) WS annoucing he is stepping down at the end of the season - This is something Im not a fan of at all regardless if his replacement is No.2 and I cant believe WS did this again. It was ONE reason we failed 10IAR. 2) Resistance to drop players when they look jaded when a match on the bench would do them good (Weir, Davis, McCulloch). 3) Letting a top player leave during the season - Millers goals were blasting us towards the title at one point. (although the bank may have called this one). I remember Gazza left to join Middlesboro around March 98 yet Andy Goram has always been quoted as saying he believes that is another reason that cost us 10IAR as a half fit Gazza would have still won us points.
  22. Fancied Liverpool all week until I saw the 5-3-2 line up but they still pulled it off. I dont like Liverpool but thats a cracking win and magic to see Chelsea lose again. Amazingly Liverpool are in sight of the Champions league spots, only 2 wins behind Chelsea now. And Arsenals sole point against Newcastle still looks decent now after all the games from the weekend. Good weekend for Spurs and Man City also. Sets the Manc derby up nicely next weekend.
  23. This probably doesnt warrent a reply but considering you called me nuts on another thread today I think this about sums you up.
  24. Congrats Cammy.....I expect them to be signed up at Murray park in a few years
  25. Was watching it live and as soon as Diaby got sent off I fancied newcastle to get back in it. Arsenal just collapsed and looked like they would concede. Barton was dirty all afternoon and it was a challenge before half time that diaby was probably reacting to. The 2nd pen was never a pen and the first was soft. The equaliser was a peach. Couldnt believe my eyes, Arsenal should have been ahout 7-0 up by half time. No team should lose a 4 goal lead with 25 mins to play. But with Man U losing it is a good point bizarrely as Arsenal have Wolves at home next week while Man U have Man city. But the worrying thing is Chelsea could find themselves back in it if they beat liverpool today as they still have to play Man U twice. But I fancy a draw there today or even a Liverpool win. Goals galore in the Premier league though, 5-3 to everton, 4-3 to Wigan, 3-2 to Stoke......
