Stay away from the Emirates! poor show from the Goons, what a chance that was. They need Liverpool to win today now. Brilliant from West Ham....we are a different team all of a sudden.

Super Ally chant needs to start being louder and more prominent
Gribz replied to MoodyBlue's topic in Rangers Chat
Super Ally referred to him banging the ball in the back of the net 350+ times though. Managing with handcuffs on is slightly different. However Ive just woke up my student neighbours with a blast of SUPER ALLLYYYY OH WAY OH WAY OH WAY>>>>> Songs that need chanted louder are: We are Rangers Super Rangers...No one likes us we dont care... We Shall not be moved.... Hullo Hullo...we are the Billy boys.... -
Goals absolutely sorted: McGregor / Alexander Defence: Foster, Broadfoot, Bougherra, Papac......if we could get Bartley for a year loan superb Midfield: Davis (but get the finger out), Ness, Hutton, McCulloch, Kerkar??? Weiss on loan would be great Naismith: never been a fan of him bar first 3 months of this season. Upfront: Jelavic - absolute gem. Diouf (id sign him), Healy - hasnt had a chance yet but could be alright. Punt the rest
-
How about kicking Lennon out aswell who has caused 10 times the trouble Diouf has caused. Do I sense a bit of fear from Nicholas that The Gers will have a backlash in the cup final with Diouf and Jelavic upfront!
-
I wonder who will finish higher this season, Man City or Toure.
-
Id buy Foster and would have him in the team ahead of Whittaker all day. But Broadfoot when on form is the man for RB at the moment, he has been awful on occassion but was just beginning to come onto a game before his injury. He done well against McGeady last season or year before and he shone at Old Trafford. I didnt think we were missing Novo in the first half of the season but he is the kind of player we need in the team at the moment to fight and give them a lift yet still have that bit of quality. Should never have been let away.

Thats terrible, its a 8-2 aggregate and all the games have been in the last 2 months. Ive posted a few times the best way to play celtic is attack them as their defence is weak. The defensive line up with 1 upfront is depressing and cringeworthy. 4 games in 2 months shows its not working. Only the first 20 mins in the 2-2 game was decent yet we were all out attacking 4-4-2 If we went 4-4-2 last night and went for it yet still lost I wouldnt be as bothered. The League Cup final will be very interesting to see what formation he puts out
-
I used to think Edu would become a good signing also but he has been terrible of late. I wasnt Kevin Thomsons biggest fan but he is 5 times the player Edu is

From the telly it looked like McCoist didnt say a word, he must have got it in very quickly then the wee tink took the bait and went off on one. I liked the way AM just stood still and stared at him, it was like Shearer just starring out Keane when he used to throw the toys.

Alan Thompson: Rangers striker El Hadji Diouf provoked all the trouble
Gribz replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
I thought Thompson was the only one on the celtic bench who was trying to pull people away then he comes out with this. People are assuming Celtic are in for the treble now...but they won fuck all last night except a 4th or 5th round tie. Gosh I hope they get knocked out next round. -
Its easily a society problem that idiots cant control themselves and act like adults, its not just OF fans Aberdeens lot are just as bad if not worse so should we ban those games also? Yet SPL want to reduce the league to 10 which would create a bigger gap and we would end up playing each other in the cups more often. Increase the league to 16 or 18 you muppets and there will be only 2 OF league games a season.

One thing that was really obvious on the way up the tunnel was Mjallby saying something to Bartley. Bartley was walking up ahead of Mjallby and he instantly turned round obviously in a reaction to something Mjallby said....seeing that live was the most obvious thing of the night that the celtic bench were at it.

He should be commenting on his own staff first, the ref was appauling.
-
How about the refereeing display! Is he not embarrassed by that also?
-
We now have the crazy scenario of no league matches for 1 month after St Mirren due to the incompetence organisation of the SPL and SFA. A free weekend on the 12th then another free one due to internationals. I prefer players to go to internationals but I hope WS pulls every player who is called up for international duty that week.
-
Dont know about handing over to Ally now but if they cant see similarities with this and 1998 and act on it now then Celtic will win get the treble. And that would be a disaster as they are only winning games on morale and spirit. Techinically they only have 1 or 2 decent players and the rest are awful. Last night can be swept under the carpet as it was a cup game (albeit it is papering over cracks) but we still hold the advantage in the more important league. We need to get back to business and beat St Mirren on Sunday. The main error this season was the sale of Kenny Miller.

Agree Ian, the ref was an embarrassment and Im glad it was on Sky so the rest of the UK / World could see it. Any neutral would see he had an absolute stinker.

With Chelsea winning thats the league race wide open between Man U and Arsenal. Bizarre game last night, Man U looked more comfortable in the first half but neither team looked impressive. Chelseas goal came out of nothing then they got a spark and dominated. David Luiz should have been sent off while it was 1-1. I fancied it to be a draw but a good result for Arsenal. Bad result for Man City and Spurs as Chelsea have the advantage of 3rd now, they win their game in hand against Birmingham at home and they will be 3rd.

1-0 Rangers. Jelavic The performance cant be worse than last time. Lets get into them.

next years SPL starts July 23rd ,,,,, Dublin tournament fecked ?
Gribz replied to rbr's topic in General Football Chat
It doesnt solve anything if the fixture pile up still comes in Feb to may. You cant play your advanced cup games in Sept when you havent made it past the earlier round. So whilst in theory starting the league earlier seems it will free up some space if we go on another Euro and league cup run next season plus need any replays in the Scottish cup the exact same thing will happen. This guy Doncaster is getting worse by the week. If he wants to ease fixtures then move the league cup back to Aug to Oct, start the season earlier but have a winter break which plays any backlog of games. Soon the season will be a full 12 months. Only the SPL can come out with trash like "lets start the season but you can opt out of a game to go play in friendlies". Yet they cant extend the season when there IS a back log of COMPETITVE games because Celtic want to tour Japan for friendlies. What absolute garbage. Do the Scandanavian and Russian teams do that?? -
This is the big week as far as the title goes. Man Utd have Chelsea tonight and Liverpool away on Sunday. If they get 6 points they deserve the title but I think they will get 2 draws. After the 4-4 game with Newcastle I thought that might be the game which costs Arsenal points wise but they still have a chance if Man U drop points this week. Arsenal have Sunderland at home at the weekend and while Arsenal are capable of the odd collapse you'd fancy them to take all 3 points. So if Man U do drop points it will be set up for the Arsenal v Man U match for the title. Man City should have cemented 3rd on Sunday but now Chelsea can still catch them by winning 2 games in hand. It will be a good 3 way battle for the 2 remaining CL spots. At the bottom West Ham were a different team on Sunday against Liverpool. Since being 3-0 down at West Brom they have found something different when Scott Parker took over the dressing room. Since that they came out and pulled West Brom back to 3-3, stuffed Burnley 5-1 in the cup and Liverpool 3-1 so we may have turned the corner. Thomas Hitzelspirger is fit now and is a new signing. Wolves are a good footballing side but dont show it with points. Id say Wigan and West Brom are down but I wouldnt like to guess the 3rd. Birminghams cup win may save them as it gives them a spur but they are right in it, they have 2 games in hand but they are against Chelsea and Everton both away.

There will be more twists again this season but now its all about the most consistant team. Yesterday was perfect. Win our games in hand and we are back on top and the last OF game at Ibrox may be the decider.
