I was supposed to include this goal in the opening post....tad tipsy yesterday

Quite surprising. I see a similar pattern to when Middlesboro sacked Southgate...they were a near top of the table side and then went backwards. Wouldnt be surprised to see Cardiff take Davies now.

Easily in the top 10 of all time. Quite a funny clip seeming him trod on.

Arsenal signed a young 19 yr old defender from Chalrton yesterday...hopefully this ups the chances of Bartley returning to Ibrox.

Was about to say what Craig said. I like what Ally has been doing so far with regards to transfers. I did fear he would bring in a chunk of SPL players but he seems to be setting his sights as high as realistically possible. Going for the likes of Bartley, Weiss and Cuellar is sensible...all are quality players and they all know what its like to play for Rangers so should settle straight away thus making us hit the ground running from the off. I wont deny if we had a more attractive name id feel more confident, or more so if we had a experienced No.2 like Wilkins. Ally is a rookie manager yet he shouldnt be. Looking at other managers from his playing days....for EG Mcleish / Strachan...they have been managers for years.

McClaren was also rated high as a No.2 at Man Utd. He took Boro to the UEFA cup final plus what he did at Twente was good. Im not a fan of Allardyce as a mid Prem club but for some reason I think he is the right appointment for West Ham. If WH keep a core of good players Allardyces solid defenisve football could be what gets the 'Ammers back up.

I'll stick my neck out here and say its a banker to be one from St Johnstone, St Mirren, Killie, Motherwell, Inverness or Dunfermline.

Manager confirms Argentina scouting trip
Gribz replied to Rangers Football Club's topic in Rangers Chat
Harsh...plus Rozental was Chilean. Rozental was a top prospect and started well until his injury. He was Chile's 3rd striker behind Salas and Zamorano. Talking of which...Sebby is still only 34! -
It was Wolves away in the season just finished. He watched out lunch time KO in the OF game first. Our coverage here showed him in the TV room.

I take it is goals where you have to have been at the match. Mols, Laudrup, Gazza and Albertz have all scored some unbelievable goals but my 2 are both from Laudrup. Laudrup v Dundee Utd Oct 1994. Ran from the half way line then stuck a beauty into the top corner of the Broomloan end. I was in line with the crossbar behind the goal and heard it hit the net sweaty with the rain pissing down. Laudrup v Aberdeen approx Nov 1996....Gazza had scored with a free kick then few mins later Laudrup solo again from half way line, skinned about 5 players then rounded the keeper.

Aston Villa, Chelsea, Fulham, West Ham, Cardiff (not that thats important ) Fulham have got a good appointment in Jol. Probably better than Hughes IMO, will certainly try play better football. Villa seem likely to go for Benitez. Chairman Learner read the negative response from Villa forum fans about McClaren and cancelled his interview. Seems a tad harsh! McClaren is someone id certainly take as next Gers boss. He made mistakes in the england job but bar that has been quite good. West Ham - Allardyce. If we were in the Premier league id pull my teeth out at this, but as a stability appointment its the best one. His drive and desire should be enough to win promotion. Going down worked well for Newcastle.

Phil Jones 17 million! Madness. Ashley Young is supposed to be going for 16 million yet he is an established good player.

Ally mccoist: No way steven whittaker is leaving rangers
Gribz replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Agree with that Frankie that he would be tricky to replace given the insane values down south. And 300k from Bursaspor is way to low. If Whittaker signs a new deal I hope he is played in defence though and not one of these players who seems to get in the first XI every week without fail anywhere on the park. -

Good to read Ally is on the active at the moment and setting his sights with good names like Cuellar and Bartley. Even if he doesnt land someone like Cuellar it is good to see he is keen to get that level of player. Whittaker finished the season well but had a stinker for the majority. Ive always liked him better at LB, yet he was impressive at centre half and I wonder if thats his long term position. Not sure Id welcome Wilson back. He jumped ship and hasnt kicked a ball for Liverpool showing he saw the pound signs too early. His good performances was down to mentor Weir. -
The inflatable English premier league market probably hit a new level of madness today. Sunderlands Jordan Henderson to Liverpool for 20 million!! http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/13685517.stm No wonder we cant compete. This guy is 20 and had a handful of good games for Sunderland along with showing a nasty streak with a few red cards yet goes for this amount. Is he any better than Steven Davis who wouldnt go for anything near that amount?

Wilson, Whittaker and even Bougherra have shone when playing at centre half...the main reason IMO is who they were playing next to. He has a lot to offer on the coaching side. So Id like to see a combined player / coach role. He steps in next season when we are short.

Really struggling to see how this is an historic change. Will it put a better product on show with better organisation? Dont think so.

Leggoland: Salmond ignores pleas to act against IRA fest in Alloa
Gribz replied to Frank Hovis's topic in Rangers Chat
Thats more than concerning. I had no idea about it. If you say it is limited to football and the internet, how exactly does that work? We can be charged for certain posts?? -
Laffertys problem has been consistency, yet that hasnt been helped when he is asked to play wide left. He certainly did the business in the last few games of the season and Id be happy going into the new season with those 2 upfront. He is definitely a centre forward only and seems to be maturing at last.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/13633903.stm Dunfermline who are newly promoted to the SPL are included in the first round draw but relegated Hamilton are not. Someone want to explain this latest piece of classic genius by the SFA? How desperate has the Scottish game become!! Move the cup final back to October to generate a bit more interest rather than having a 4 month break between rounds.
