Agreed. No idea why Klopp is disrupting the midfield aswell as the defence, he should just play the new signings or the youngsters at centre back and keep the midfield strong. As George Graham once said - If you dont have 2 class centre halfs then play 3. Liverpool could easily be playing 5-3-2 at the moment. The title is pretty much wrapped up, City are on a roll, they would need a big blip for a couple of weeks. Relegation is also finalised - no way are the bottom 3 getting out of it. Its all about CL places now.

Alisson horror show again for Liverpool, gifted Leicester the lead. The Liverpool opener was a beauty with immense skill from Firmino. I did want to put Leicester on my predictor but felt Liverpool's away form would get them something. Glad the first Leicester goal was allowed, there was no way it would have been offside if nobody touched it. Good start for Burnley. 1-0 up at Palace already.

There was service and configuration errors throughout the night UK time and couldnt read anything - however I went to the main site for the first time in a while and spent time reading some cracking articles. Possible strongest XI today, Helander aside. I hope we can get a nice lead early on and give Defoe and Arfield some minutes in the second half. -

Pot luck this weekend. Leicester 1-1 Liverpool Crystal Palace 0-1 Burnley Man City 2-0 Tottenham Brighton 0-1 Aston Villa Southampton 2-2 Wolves West Brom 0-3 Man Utd Arsenal 2-0 Leeds Everton 2-0 Fulham West Ham 1-1 Sheff Utd Chelsea 3-0 Newcastle

Wouldnt have had a 5-4 down at Goodison with two managers known for solid defending. Man City are the team to beat but if they were to somehow get knocked out then it would be anyone's cup. A good chance for Leicester / Everton to go on and win it.
-
Dont see that. They way West Ham are at the moment means Moyes is likely to land a 2 year extension. He has surprised me how well he has done, I thought it was going to be a long relegation battle especially after the opening defeat at home to Newcastle.
-
Agree with Bill there, I like to see this also. Didnt realise the relationship was back to the 70s. Obviously there is certain unofficially relationships with various clubs in England - seems to be Arsenal and Chelsea the main two but to nail an official partnership is good.
-
Never good away to the big boys. However sights are obviously set on the top 4. Moyes is naive like that.
-
Id like to see Dyche go to a bigger club and see what he can do. Before Moyes at West Ham I was scream for Benitez but Dyche would have been my second pick.
-
Good call there sir.

Cousin - yes unplayable when he wanted to be. I remember that goal he scored at Parkhead and ran straight to Super Ally who had told Walter to play him. He was also outstanding against Barca at Ibrox.
-
There is absolutely no doubt Stevie G has gotten 20-30% extra out of the current squad - he has installed the hunger he had as a player. Current team is similar to the 92-93 Famous side with no real individuals - just a pure well oiled machine.
-
Scott - I'll give you a chance of a comeback with these Burnley 2-0 Bournemouth Man Utd 4-2 West Ham Swansea 1-5 Man City Leicester 3-0 Brighton Sheff Utd 2-0 Bristol sweet Cities Everton 1-0 Tottenham Wolves 2-0 Southampton Barnsley 0-3 Chelsea (Werner hat-trick)

Thats another landslide

Weir, Naismith and Jelavic . Naismith would be absolutely perfect in our team right now, he is an upgrade to Arfield. Despite my dislike for him in the past he was still a good player. Jelavic all round game and attitide pips Morelos and Weir was an outstanding professional and you need him. Bar those 3 Im not taking anyone else. Kent v Weiss is interesting - both world beaters on their day. Kent has done is more for me though, Weiss was great when he wanted to be.
-
Papac over Barasic. Not for me. Im taking the latter bud.
-
Still pedantic I see ? Yeah I bought Bayer into it because thats the real defeat Ive seen - bar that. St Mirren a one off and forgotten about.
-
Yes noted. I was a fan of Weiss. By all means as I said - correct me. It was just to have a look at the last team / squad and perhaps compare

Liverpool Not Allowed To Face RB Leipzig In Germany
Gribz replied to ian1964's topic in General Football Chat
Game has been moved to Budapest. Sensational stadium but ridicuous rule. Both games should become neutral. -
Just having a look back at the 2011 squad and what would have been the best XI then. It wasnt over exciting coming to think about it compared to this current team. I know comparing is not always a clear example. Heres what I came up with. Correct me if Im wrong. (Kenny Miller Left half way as far as I can remember) - Have I missed anyone? And can we compare with this seasons team? McGregor Whittaker Weir Bougherra Papac Davis Edu McCulloch Naismith Lafferty Jelavic

Roger that but thats down to a owner who oversees his sons playstation results. how many has he sacked? Getting rid of ancelotti after winning a double? Why not back him and say right instead of millions to sack you heres the cash go get the best? He's off his rocker. Edit - read Ranieri Leicester. however post is still justified RE Chelsea. Leicester - bizarre and still is bizarre yet they have put together a good xi and I dont care what anyone says Rogders is a top coach.

IMO Celtic will struggling to reach 85 points. Do the maths. Only a collapse of about 6-8 defeats would cost us the title and thats not happening at this stage. How can a team who as only lost only to a Quality Bayer Leverkusen side go on such a run - it wont happen. Yesterday can be looked as a reminder - yet still didnt lose. Onto Kilmarnock on the weekend and give them a dooing.
-
Numerous things. 1) He should have pitched for a tried and trusted centre half for cover. (Are they regretting losing Lovren?). Imagine Rangers defence was Jack and Davis? - Its unthinkable and distrups the rest of the team. 2) Salah is obviously not at the races and at the stage in his career where he is thinking about Barca or Real. 3) Empty stadiums - I know its the same for everyone but Liverpool's home crown in the big games can have an effect unless you are Diego Simeone and Atletico Madrid or Sir Alex. 4) Bit of lack of creativity in the midfield. Thigao, Wjunildum (sp) and whoever plays are quite similar, they dont ever try a No.10. Klopp will get more time and the aim will be top 4. You dont get rid of a manager who has made progress to finals then winning the CL and record points in the top flight plus breaking the 30 year spell. IMO Gerrard wont be considered until he has another 2-3 years and trophies on his CV, they will have looked at Chelsea and seen what has happened there. I dont think Gerrard is going anywhere. He will want a crack at the CL next season at Ibrox.
