Been away all week...but when i heard the news I was just angry for the fact ive been telling everyone this guy has been a liability for ages. I am still stunned mCcoist wanted him long term....eh? Surely common sense has gone from football. Ricky Foster is 10 times the player. I'll never boo a Gers player but i wish this guy a lengthy spell on the bench. He is a favourite of AM and was of WS....fuck knows why, he has always been a bombscare bar 1 out of 10 games where he will attempt a Maradona run.... Bring back Gary Bollan long before playing this clown again. In fact Bring back Boyd well before Whittaker, at least Boyd has comittiment. Is McCoist scared of changing things?? Get Edu and McCulloch to fuck, they are awful together.

What time and channel for the world cup draw?
Gribz replied to Danny's topic in General Football Chat
Thats from beeb so I assume its live on Sky. -
The Rhys Murphy one was on Sky Sports and it was a loan, Boro are favourites though as he is currently there on trial.

Cant see much wrong in what he has said. He has obviously been asked the question on why he didnt move back to Ibrox yet he is probably right they didnt speak at all as our bid was knocked back so that would have been the end of it, we cant talk to a player when an offer hasnt been accepted. Our offer should have been upped but it wasnt, as he says we made a phone call to check the situation which isnt the same as an offer. Miller would be desperate to get a move out of turkey so agreed a deal with Cardiff.

We dont want to be looking desperate to sell by asking for a small fee but 200k would be good just to repay some wasted wages. If he signs for another football club there is hope for me to turn pro yet.

We could end up with a strinking draw. The countries in pots 2 and 3 are good. Norway and greece being in pot one a strange one, would bite one of them but would love England. -
I cant keep up with the amount of players we are linked especially ones that deals are almost struck yet with no conclusion. However once the Goian work permit is done and one other defender is signed then we should bite the money for Bougherra. Ive always wanted him to stay but if he feels a move to Qatar advances his football then cheerio. I'll give him 5 months before he is begging for a move back to the UK.

This one is easy for me, its the position he is in. We've always seen the best of him on the right hand side whether than be on the wing in a 4-4-2 or front right in a 4-3-3. Ive never been his biggest fan, thinks he just lacks good bit of cutting edge and end product. Id be giving Healy a run out next to Jelavic on Saturday and moving Naismith back out right although Ortiz is worth considering there.

Big derby tonight, 2nd leg between Malaysia and Singapore. Bit like a Scotland v England game this and no love lost between them at all. Singapore won the first leg last weekend 5-3 which I missed due to watching our poor showing against Hearts. Tonight 2nd leg in Kuala Lumpur, sold out 85,000 stadium. Atmosphere will be more towards the South American style, some malays are nuts! Just last week in a Liverpool friendly there was 80000 liverpool fans in the ground but some bloke went in amougst them with a Man U shirt with Rooney on the back. I quite like malaysia and spend plenty time in Kuala Lumpur but I'll be cheering on my adopted home tonight.

When there is more users does it cost more? Or is it to do with bandwidth you need to have available which would be more expensive. I didnt know admin shared the costs, I thought there would be a one off fee per year or the likes which Craig generously took care off last time I remembered. Ive been on this site for 7 years, would gladly make a contribution if costs start to go on the rise.

Still not fussed either way for Goodwillie more so because I havent seen enough of him to think he is a top player. The defence is stil the one that needs sorted out and even if we linked with a few more centre halfs they have to hit the ground running. Thats what I like the Bartley deal more as there is no settling in period.
-
Ally is certainly liking players on the wings. Bedoya, Wylde, Kerkar, Ortiz, Naismith (thats his best position) and now Verhoek. Not to mention he played Whittaker and Wallace in those roles last night, or sorry attemped to play Whittaker.
-
I'll be concerned while Whittaker, Edu and McCulloch are playing in the same team. McCoist shouldnt be afraid to drop any one of them, they should realise no player is bigger than the club and get a boot up the ass. Broadfoot, Hutton and Healy all should be in for them in the next game, allowing Naismith to RM and Davis in the centre.
-
Gobsmacked waking up to this. Not just the result but the selection, tactics and lack of changes. If your going to play 3-5-2 then the midfield has to midfielders and wingers, not full backs. Was astounded when giving Whittaker a new contract was a priority. He will have another 4 terrible games then we might see 1 game where he plays well and everyone will think he is brilliant again. Ive never seen such a clueless player. Time and time agian its obvious Naismith isnt an out and out striker, he is much better creative on the right mid or the right side of a front 3. I cant believe Wylde wasnt brought on. We'll end up losing young talent like Ness and Hutton if donkeys like McCulloch and Edu are picked ahead of them. Not only that, they make things difficult for Davis as he has to do 3 times the work. Malmo are maybe a decent technically team but we all knew they were well into their season so we should have been playing friendlies in June is we were serious about CL qualifiers.
-
Fully agree about RB with Juff's team. But in the centre Weir has to play next to Bougherra and Papac stays on the left. Wylde should start on the left wing but if Ortiz is dropped what will that do to his confidence? Would be tempted to play 4-3-3 tonight. :kb::mb::sp: :kh::sd::me: :sn::nj::gw:

Half thought this also but wouldnt mind seeing Healy and Hemmings get more game time.
-
Even if he wants to leave we cant accept it until we sign at least 2 defenders. Id rather force Bougherra to stay this season than have Broadfoot at the back. Also thought he was ok on Saturday, couple of good bursting runs. If he had better cover at the back when making these runs I get the feeling he'd do better, but he seems to reach the last 3rd and think he should pull out of the run as he has defensive duties to get back to.
-
Davis was MOTM for me. He was everywhere and covered 2 or 3 players when they were out of position. McGregor deserves a mention, 3 good saves kept us in it. Naismith was better in 2nd half when he moved to the right. Papac was good in spells and Wylde looked good when he came on.
-
Are we at St Johnstone next week or is it the Chelsea friendly.
-
Im worried about the defence. Even if we do sign 2 centre halfs there is no guarantee they are going to work out. Id have confidence in Cuellar as he is proven. But its not just as centre half, Whittaker was awful on Saturday yet AM saw him as a key player. Id much have rather kept Richard Foster for RB. Every good performance by Broadfoot has always been at RB so he'd be my first pick there. Papac did well on saturday and Wallace should be good cover for him. In midfield I think we are ok in numbers if Ness and Hutton improve. Davis is the main man there and as I mentioned I would play Bougherra next to him as the holding player. Edu and McCulloch are concerning. Id say McCulloch would be more effective as a sub, he'd be reliable to come on and tightnen things up. So to answer the question its more about WHO we really need rather than WHERE we need. In a nutshell Cuellar, Bartley, Weiss and Miller are what is REALLY needed. If they signed today Id be extremely happy. But as it stands I cant see us getting any of those 4 now and we are probably going for the unknowns. I dont want us to end up with a huge squad of players who cant be effective. Ortiz, Kerker and Bedoya have all been signed up yet id have Naismith and Wylde as my wide men.
-
Haha my gosh the SPL are away with it!. Doncaster probably knocked this up himself.
-
Ortiz got on the ball a bit especially first half but as mentioned McGowan had him. Bit too early to judge him, he might need a few games to get used to SPL. He looks technically decent, id consider playing him a more free role rather than stuck out on the wing. Wylde should be first pick LM anyway.

As good as the rest of your post is the bit in bold deserves "post of the week" allocade. I said the same in the match thread: Davis, Edu and McCulloch are 3 central midfielders so how does that fit into a 4-4-2? Davis is by far our best player so he is a cert, then its 1 more in with him. Ally seemed to be copying WS yesterday rather than trying his own game. Agree with the high ball...I was well pissed off with this. Get the ball on the deck and play to pace - thats our advantage!
