Leaving Caniggia out was very difficult.

? Apologies. Frankie started a thread ages ago . I just didnt get to post. ?
-
It was - your only allowed one player from each country. Hence one german / one french etc. That made it very tricky.
-
One player one country. So from Germany The Hammer is my pick.

Frankie - Sorry I couldnt find the last thread about this topic. I was having a think about our best Euro players. (Old posters - no comments about Buffel and Namouchi). I still rate Buffel. He wiped Porto at Ibrox. I had this: Niemi Cuellar Boumsong Moore Reyna Tugay Albertz Laudrup De Boer Negri Prso

Yesterday was the day we won it for me - touch wood. No way a team who has only conceded 9 goals all season is going to lose 7 games. One thing at a time - win the title then go unbeaten. If we went unbeaten it would be one of the greatest achievements. I think we mentioned it the other day on another thread - Celtic wont get to Mid 80s points wise. I dont know about everyone else but I am suffering today, the vinos were flowing yesterday ?

He just cant help himself can he. Sounds like he is trying to work his ticket out of there. he cant be coming out with those comments. Yet again he has brought another dark cloud over a club. Hopefully he wont be back in English football again - he is depressing to even look at. As for the relegation battle - all of a sudden Fulham are 3 points behind Newcastle - fair play to Scott Parker. I thought the bottom 3 were gone. Big game for Brighton v Palace tonight as they are looking over their shoulders.

Agreed. This is my thoughts also. You can debate about the virus but you cant go against employer rules (Rules and lawfulness is very different but respect comes into play) - especially in a privelged position footballers are in. I liked Jordon Jones as a player - he absolutely ruined himself but you cant have one rule for him and another rule for others. At this stage in the season - to risk what the team has done all season is not acceptable. I dont buy this home grown loss argument - we will find other full backs. But Bassey and Patterson need to take good long hard looks at themselves.

Best team in London ? The job Moyes has done is excellent. I really didnt see it coming. Rangers v West Ham next season in the Champions League.
-
First time since 1920s they have lost 4 in a row at home. Spanish flu and all that ?
-
Haha. A few Bond movies also. A total coupon buster. What has gone wrong at Anfield.

Time to give the elders some advice... Wolves 2-1 Leeds Southampton 2-2 Chelsea Burnley 2-0 West Brom Liverpool 2-0 Everton Fulham 2-0 Sheff Utd West Ham 1-1 Tottenham Aston Villa 1-2 Leicester Arsenal 0-3 Man City Man Utd 2-0 Newcastle Brighton 1-0 Crystal Palace Leeds 2-2 Southampton

Looking forward to this tonight. Id take a 1-1 to get an away goal but think we can win there. Starting line up will be interesting if SG keeps Hagi in the side or brings Roofe in - or even both. But being a European game away from home I think it will be a strong 3 man midfield and only one from Hagi and Roofe will start. Interestingly the bookies have us odds on at 17/20. Id probably start this: McGregor Tavernier Goldson Helander Barisic Davis Jack Kamara Hagi Kent Morelos

A correct score - well done sir. However I got a double result correct ? But thats the title done. 10 points clear and they are getting stronger and stronger.

Glad I didnt do a prediction last night, Id have had both wrong. I thought Juve would have got a result in Porto and with Dortmund poor domestic form I thought Sevilla would have won that.

Petition to remove Walker and Crocker from Sky`s Rangers games
Gribz replied to der Berliner's topic in General Football Chat
I used to listen to games on a Saturday on the radio sometimes in the 80s and vaguely remember David Francy then I think it was David Begg and Alastair Alexander. The TV commentators in the 80s growing up for me were purely Jock Brown and Archie. The 90s changed a bit, in the early part it was still Jock and Archie then Gerry McNee. I had a few years down south late 80s and early 90s and Match of the day was Motson and Barry Davies. Pretty much liked most of those commentators yet youth could be innocent! It wasnt until I got SKY in the late 90s a variation of different commentators and pundits came in. -
Was going to put this in Craig's Barca finance thread but obviously other games to mention. However - I didnt see that result coming last night. PSG absolutely mauling Barca on their own patch. Barcelona must be a in a bit of a crisis, they have turned their league form around but are still too far behind Atletico so I thought everything would have went into the CL this season. I dont think they will do a repeat of 2017 when they came back from 4-0 down against PSG. It doesnt help Koeman having a laugh with PSG player Gueye after the game. Messi must be thinking about moving on this summer but I still see him signing a new contract depending on how Barca can bring in but with their finances they could tumble. Liverpool with a routine win. Tonight: Porto v Juventus Sevilla v Borussia Dortmund The way Man City are playing Id be tipping them to win it this year.

Royal Antwerp 1-2 Rangers Morelos FGS -
Just realised a couple of re-arranged games on Wednesday night. Im wondering if the Toffees will stop Man Citys winning run but if City turn it on then it only goes one way. Burnley 0-0 Fulham Everton 0-2 Man City

Agreed, I said similar on another thread that Celtic will struggle to get to Mid 80s Pts so I think we are about 2 wins away.

Ive never liked Crocker commentating Scottish games for 20 years now, he just doesnt have the voice for it. I saw his interview with Si Ferry and he seems like a decent guy but I just cant listen to him considering there has been cracking commentators since I started watching football. Id love Martin Tyler to do OF Derbies or bring back Archie OOOOmmppppph McPherson. -
Cracking win for the Hammers, but got to keep on doing it. In the last few seasons this was a game where Sheff Utd would have probably won. Spurs at home on the weekend is a must win if they want to dream big. The Tuchel appointment is proven the right one for Chelsea, he has made them much more solid to begin with and to be sitting 4th already shows he is a big upgrade from Lampard.

Good to see Aubameyang back scoring with a smile on his face, that could lift Arsenal up the table. All of a sudden they are only 6 pts off top 4. I maybe spoke too soon about Fulham, that win at Goodison has given them a slight sniff. They are only 7 behind Newcastle now and still have to play them. Fulham are at home to Sheff Utd next week while Newcastle have Chelsea away tonight and Man Utd away next weekend so it could be 4 points gap this time next week. A great escape could be on.
-
Im not sorry to see Sheff Utd go. I dont mind Fulham but they havent been good enough. WBA - I didnt mind under Bilic but its maybe time Sam got relegated. Agree RE Brentford, they are appealing. I have wanted Bristol City to come up over the past few years but they keep coming up short in the play offs - they are a potential big side. Blackburn were my dark horse for the play offs this year. But the big boys in the championship are not close at the moment.
