Did UK clocks change last night??? I'll end up missing the first half if this is the case.

Still IMO the most competitive and exciting league there is. Having the play offs certainly helps this. From Leeds up, any team can still get promotion. Not sure what West Ham are doing lately, 5 draws on the bounce. I did fancy Reading at start of the season to go up, that McDermott is a manager in the making. Southampton have pulled it together after a sticky patch and after West Hams poor run they would be nuts if they didnt go up. Still have a sneaky feeling Chris Hughton will take Birmingham up via the play offs.

Crikey...should have backed Hearts before the St Mirren game. Banker Hearts v Aberdeen final with the Jambos winning 2-0
-
Fuck it....and rightly so it should go ahead...Im sure these rules are made to protect Celtic because they cant trust their own where as we'll show our class. Plus its no a title decider when we win!! BrahimHemdani....now he was a player I liked, very classy...shouldnt have left.

Rangers Goals v Celtic from the nineties Remember the first 3 goals so well....it was my first OF game. 4000 Bears packed into a corner of Hampden. Celtic played there that season. How skillful was Gabby Amato!! Couldnt believe it when Advocaat said he can leave because Mols was signing...but in Mols we got one of the best. Mols, Negri and Amato in the same team would have been incredible.

Big sing song started for today..... Ally really needs to show his worth today, could be a defining moment in his own career today. If he gets things wrong then any new owner wont want him in charge next season. Winning this game today would feel like a title winner.

Jeez...cheers Ian...I forgot this ham actually existed until now. :box:

Leo Messi, one goal away from César's record
Gribz replied to 54andcounting's topic in General Football Chat
Yup thats the 2 points I made on another thread a few weeks ago. Maradona was kicked all over the park and he went into a Napoli team that wasnt full of world class players unlike Messi with Barca where its a team of superstars. If you took Messi out the Barca team and put him in say Athletico Madrids team he'd still be an awesome player but wouldnt get half the goals he does for Barca. Messi has to do it with Argentina for me. -
Id have thought there would be more than 15000 sold at this stage. Its a match id love to see. If a crowd of around 25000 turns up then its a healthy return.

Fixed that for you Craig The thing with McCulloch is he is a player who peaked in his 20s like most players and due to losing a few yards of pace it shows in his game. Throwing him around the pitch in every position doesnt help him either as he is good in some positions but not others, so people are quick to criticise him overall by judging on his poor performances. For me he'd be in the team still in an attacking sense, thats his natural position. One thing is for sure Id have him in the team this sunday to raise morale, spirit and get in about Celtic's midfield. I bet he is a managers dream in the dressing room as he will always be there for the squad and seems to be more of a "pint glass half full" kinda guy.

To me all this says is those making the decision trust our fans but not theirs.

It would be nice just to throw a spanner in the works and win this game to show them they have won it this season for non-footballing reasons. For us to do that then Ally has to get the team right. Im always confident going into OF games especially at Ibrox but recent defeats from Killie, Hearts and Dundee utd have me a bit worried. Getting Goian, Bocangera, Papac, Ness and Lafferty into the side would be massive, its half a team of first picks that were missing last weekend. Massive game of pride is at stake to let them know we will be back! At the same time we've 2nd place to hold onto, I dont want to see us drop below Motherwell. I know its early for team picking and if these players are available Id be looking at: :dg::sp: :sd::me::jn::lm: :sa::kl:

Well annoyed with myself for not backing Killie, had a sneaky feeling they would win it yesterday. Also fancy Hearts for the Scottish cup but they have to get past St Mirren and then I'll back them.

All spot on from Lee and I have admired him more in the past few weeks. Still dont think he has much to offer these days on the park when being deployed in centre defence and centre midfield but he could still do a job in an attacking sense. I was delighted when we signed him, i thought he was a cracking attacking inside left and he started his Gers career well. But since being moved into midfield and defence he really struggled. Off the park he has probably been a rock in the dressing room. Id keep him on for another year for experience but he cant ever play centre defence again.

Wylde is entitled to put himself and his career first. If I was him and was dropped from the team to allow 2 left backs in ahead of me Id have been wondering about my future at the club also! Nobody can enter Wylde's mind to see if he was genuniely helping the club up or not, but he is only 20 and will be getting advice from all angles thrown at him. He gave up a decent months wage to allow others to be paid and thats a good gesture all round. Im disappointed he left as I liked him as a player, would have made a difference on the park yesterday! Good luck to him.

My gut instinct is with Brian Kennedy. I know his comments have not been the most ambitious but he wouldnt put a bid in unless he was actually going to give it a go.

Im just shy of about 10% lads, so donations are welcome.

Could Rangers Play in England or SFL3 - Information Update
Gribz replied to BrahimHemdani's topic in Rangers Chat
But if its possible then where is the harm in applying? If we get rejected then so be it, it will put it all to bed once and for all. -
Ibrox return on offer to Smith: Former boss in line for Rangers comeback
Gribz replied to pete's topic in Rangers Chat
I dont think McCoist is anyones 1st choice manager in an ideal world, but we have to be realistic and take onboard the situation. After all thats happened there is a morale argument that he deserves a proper shot at it. Nobody has seen what he can do in a situation where his hands arent tied. What we have seen is a few inept tactical decisions and some poor runs of forms especially at a time where I expected even more squad determination. But if the best plumber in the world was using plastic tools then he wouldnt be fixing the sinks as well as he could with propoer tools. When the off field issues are sorted Im all up for a fresh start. Whether thats Ally in charge or someone else we just need a to move on from the current disaster. If it was my decision tomorrow then Id be giving Ally reassurance that he has one crack at it. I also still think he needs a stronger coaching team which could make all the difference between Ally being a successful Rangers manager and one thats going to be forgotten about. But regardless whatever way it goes, Ally is already cemented as a TOP club legend from his playing days and his loyality in the past 2 months will allow him to walk out with his head held high. On the topic of Walter being back as DOF I would be fine with this but will it overmine McCoist in anyway?? -
I hope your right fiftyfour....I really thought going into admin would have been enough to inspire the players but 3 home defeats and 1 home draw in the last 4 showed otherwise. I really hope the bad apples are exposed and not included at Tannadice. The only down side is Papac and Wallace are both fit so the ?-?-? formation will appear again, espeacially since Wylde left. That for me has been a problem.

Ok Im a lazy bastard too and always 8 hours ahead in the morning and always a catch up to read the previous days events. Like Gav I also seemed to pick up on the good vibe but couldnt catch up on what had happened.

Important Questions For The Scottish Media To Be Asking?
Gribz replied to Zappa's topic in Rangers Chat
Not sure if its worth a question...maybe more of a documentary! Hope you have a ginger ale in that Brandy....not a brandy fan myself apart from my 6th year school dance I wacked down a load of it with ginger ale and I lived happily ever after. -
Arent Berwick Rangers just south of the border but allowed to play in the Scottish leagues? Gretna previously did play down south. And of course we all know about Cardiff, Swansea, Wrexham and previously Merthyr tydfil all playing in English leagues. Therefore there has to be at least a case to apply down south. Playing in League 2 and 1 is far more appealling than SFL and league 1 is even more appealing than the SPL. Id rather be going to Sheff Wed and Charlton than St Mirren and Dunfermline. This would be very interesting, if we are applying as a new club or starting in lower leagues we may have a different case altogther and would Celtic would have to go bust before they could apply?? TBH regardless how unlikely it is I sincerely hope we do apply down south, Ive no desire to see us play in the SPL again with the way some have treated us and its only going to cost them in the pocket, quite right for kicking us when we are down. The league is very poor anyway and is run by clueless fatcats who cant even make the league more appealing. I think administration is all a conspiracy to get Rangers down south without Celtic....England want us but not them and this is the only way
