Liverpool 5 defeats at home in a row. The Tuchel move is proving right for Chelsea.
-
Indeed, they were pretty much guaranteed CL at one time but had a horrendous run of results and lost out on the last day. I do think they will make it in this year though - probably down to others not being good enough. Tonights matches are huge. Plus Man Utd have City on the weekend so could be dragged down a few places.

Huge 3 points. 1 more win and thats it. It would have been amazing to win it at Celtic Park but its going to be done by then due to goal difference -
Leicester and Man Utd throwing the CL race wide open. Everton must be in the driving seat now for 4th. Massive game between Liverpool and Chelsea tonight. A draw will do nicely.

Lets see what the scores are tonight lads. Obviously I will be winning again.

I get extra points for saying Man City would score 4.

As promised. I see your point about Ings but he is on the list as current call ups (I think). He was dropped from my next list. Rashford - I really rate him. I hate player comparisons but he is very much like Anelka. The difference being the French mentality and thats why Anelka did so well. I think Rashford is too nice. Ole at the wheel wont help that as he was also too nice. 11 v 11 USA v Croatia (random pick) Population nothing to do with it mate. Its about talent and the governing bodies have to take responsibility into that. Funnily enough I had this conversation in a taxi not so long ago. The driver was from Pakistan who was a mad cricket fan and I asked why Pakistan doesnt have a football team with a population of 208 Million. B internationals - bring them back. I remember going to a Scotland v England B in the 80s at Pittodrie. Im sure it was Gascoignes debut. A but like the reserve leagues - bring them back as too many players can get frozen out with U21 league.

The best comparison I heard was from someone who called him the next George Best ....The interviewer should have asked - But what about on the the park.....

Fair comment to be honest. Possibly links to the manager. If Venebles had this lot Id worry. Southgate isnt even qualified for me. But coming up against them in the summer they will probably take us apart especially when we have out worst defence on record.

And another defeat for Southampton. They were top in November. The Hoff ooot??

Extremely difficult. But this is the 23 Id select. How Pickford is even getting caps is beyond me, he is the worst English keeper of all time. Celtic missed a trick with Forster - yet he made the mistake going back to Southampton as No.2, he is a keeper I actually really rate, he just needs confidence. Replacement for McGregor in a year or so??? Id have him. Walker being able to play as a centre half puts him in ahead of Trent. Trippier can play both sides so is in. Perhaps lightweight in the centre of the park but Dier is as his name says so doesnt get near it. With Grealish, Madison, Lingard, Foden and Barnes you should only need one holding midfielder anyway. From Scotlands point of view going against them - 1) I dont see a world class keeper. 2) If Jordan Henderson is the savour and then we should be laughing. 3) No Terry Butcher, No Tony Adams, No John Terry. 4) Dykes should have a field day against them. 5) I feel sorry for our defence.

I would say this current England squad would be the toughest any manager has had to pick. The amount of talent Southgate has is unreal. Its a shame a better manager isnt in charge to have these players. There was a good discussion on Talksport about it and who gets picked and who plays. I wrote down a provisional squad of 40 and Southgate will need to trim 17 off this. Keepers: Pope Heaton Forster Henderson Pickford Defenders / Full Backs: Stones Maguire Gomez Coady Mings Keane Dier Maitland-Niles Alexander-Arnold Tripper Walker Wan-Bassaka Chilwell Shaw James Midfielders / Attacking Midfielders / Wingers Henderson Rice Oxlade-Chamberlain Bellingham Ward-Prowse Philipps Sancho Saka Mount Grealish Madison Barnes Lingard Foden Greenwood Strikers / Forwards Kane Ings Calvin-Lewis Sterling Rashford

Horrendous. The goal should 100% have stood. I remember Thierry Henry scoring one exactly the same years ago and it was allowed. When you get a free kick in your own half for offside or something you dont have to wait for a whistle to take it. Brighton stats though are unbelievable. 65 attempts on goal in their last 3 games but have only scored once. That includes the 2 missed pens yesterday - that cost them the game not the bizarre free kick. West Ham were very impressive at City and could easily have got a point. They gifted City the second goal. As soon as they played a bad pass across field and put Coufal in a bad position I knew it would be costly - He gave a free kick away, City get a corner and score. Yet Diop should have snatched a point in the last few seconds. Hammers have nobody to fear playing like that. Lingard has been outstanding and was MOTM. Good win for Villa, I didnt see that coming. Leeds could have been 8th if they had won that.

Europa League Last 16 Draw: Slavia Prague v Rangers
Gribz replied to 26th of foot's topic in Rangers Chat
Taking that draw. Very winnable. What makes it better is the two Ukrainian sides got tough draws (Roma and Villarreal) so that could help the co-efficent. Man Utd v AC Milan is the tie of the round. -
Back to business..... Man City 0-0 West Ham (Moyes master class) West Brom 0-1 Brighton Leeds 2-2 Aston Villa Newcastle 1-1 Wolves Crystal Palace 1-2 Fulham Leicester 2-0 Arsenal Tottenham 2-0 Burnley Chelsea 1-0 Man Utd Sheff Utd 0-2 Liverpool Everton 2-0 Southampton

Astonishing result over two legs. We may mention who we all fancy in the next round but I would say a lot of teams wont want to be drawn with us at the moment. As for the English sides I think leicester may have had been the toughtest due to their style of play but with them being out its an advantage, I dont see Slavia Prague as being too scary in their place. Arsenal would be their for the taking - keep Saka and Aubameyang quiet and that would be it. Man Utd - weak defence that could be got at. Tottenham - Weak at the back also but Kane and Son are frightening when they click. Id like to avoid Shakhtar, Villarreal and As Roma first.

Haha beautiful. Apologies...on the sauce last night.
