Rangers could be fast-tracked into second tier via league reconstruction

Didnt you read my earlier post? :box: -
Questioning the value of Steven Fletchers price tag. Whilst I actually agree he isnt worth 12m its still not the place for the national manager to come out and scoop a cheap point. Cringeworthy man!

Motherwell follow St Johnstone and are a bit of a joke. Dundee Utd got pumped in Moscow. Hearts wont win at Anfield.

Transfer thread - OFFICIAL!! David Templeton signs 4 year deal
Gribz replied to Zappa's topic in Rangers Chat
Gomis is another player well above the standard of Div 3 and 2. So would be a good signing. -
In previous years id be well hoping Hearts did well. Last year they got embarrassed by Tottenham but that Spurs side was far better than this Liverpool team so I think Hearts have a slight chance. Not a fan of Liverpool at all so despite all thats gone on in the summer and Hearts being another against Rangers I would rather see Hearts go through.

Could leave space for a winter break. But a good idea would be to have some league cup games played on weekends, might generate some more interest into it plus it could be wrapped up early in October / November like it used to be when it was an interesting competition. -

If they dont have a report back until November that means even longer before they annouce anything, therefore I cant see how they could possibly bring this in ahead of 2013-14 season, meaning we'd still play in Div 2 (so long as we get promoted this season) next year. -
Just shows the fabrications, mistakes and lies that can run through media at any level. Think there will be a taxi ready for someone at the metro though.

TBH Im looking on with interest to see how bad the league is and how low the crowds are and who is struggling. We could be 3 seasons away or only 2 seasons (if restructure of the leagues happens) away from returning so it would be silly to take the eye off the ball totally. As long as we arent funding them in any way then so be it.

Yeah Im interested to know whats happening with Huttons form also. I know Zappa was with me that there was high hopes for Hutton. Since his loan spell away he hasnt been the same promising player. I actually rated him better than Ness when they both came on the scene.

What I would have had in place is the embargo works both ways...we cant bring players in nor cant let players go out. If its a transfer activity ban then we cant deal with any players in or out. But that would open up a huge can of worms for players employment rights...however Id have stuck to my guns and had it that way considering the law was on our side in the first place. Im wondering if the club knew about the changes to the structure of the game hence happily accepting going down to Div 3. I agree that we are signing players way better than Div 1-3 standard and a dangling carrot when they were signing could be we will be in SPL2 sooner rather than later.

Should have been done 10 years ago but they try to bury Rangers then use us again to revitilise their game. I dont know how they sleep at night. Read yesterday Aberdeen are the first club in danger of going out of business due to their stadium plans....1 down! A few of my AFC friends on facebook are worried and as much as I wanted to post back 'haha this is what you deserve' to get back at their comments this year, I just didnt lower myself to their level. A wry smile on the keyboard is enough for me. But if we are fast tracked then its good for us, however for the first season back (should this be earlier than planned) then avoiding away grounds in the SPL is a MUST! They wanted us out for 3 years so we dont visit their grounds for 3 years. -
First time Ive seen the list in full and it makes for painful reading. But good luck to the players in bold, always welcome back at Ibrox. There may be 1 or 2 of the youngsters there that also transfered their contract over but Im not sure. But agree with Zappa, its effectively a 16 month transfer embargo and it should have been agreed to start in the middle of August so it ended middle of August next year allowing us to sign again before 1st Sept 2013.

Can only ask for a home tie....more income than an away one.

Rhys McCabe might have left Rangers, but they have not left him

Absolutely spot on. The first thing I thought of after Naismith and Whittakers interview was why on earth werent they approaching CG!! Why should CG go to them! Do they feel they are bigger than CG and the club?? Those two had ego's which seemed to go higher than anything else to do with Rangers. -
I think we're more suited to playing the so called bigger sides in Div 1 than Div 3. The lower division is going to take a bit of getting use to and its a different style of play altogether. Glad to get past Falkirk although I hope we're stronger in the League Cup next week against them. Of course Id like us to win the Ramsden Cup but id worry about picking up injuries in this competition when No.1 priority by a country mile in the league.

What happened with Edu and Valencia? I thought he went there? But good luck to him if he moves to Stoke, not really a club I like to watch but like the others who transferred their contract over he goes with fans best wishes and thanks....hope he goes and gives Whittaker and Naismith a solid few tackles when Stoke play Norwich and Everton. Time running out for more bodies to come in though. Really need 1 or 2 more ASAP as if we get caught up with injuries then we could be in an ugly situation. I still think we should be knocking on Wengers door to get a few more Bartley type deals. Or are Newcastle sending the reserves up with the Ashley deal? This seems to have gone quiet.

I thought that also, plus thought he only had 1 leg for a few seconds!

2 lines down yesterday. Had 4 draws which would have been a small fortune: Reading 1-1 Stoke West Brom 3-0 Liverpool Birmingham 1-1 Charlton Derby 2-2 Sheff Wed 5 Homes: Arsenal 0-0 Fulham 5-0 Leicester 2-0 Sheff Utd 1-0 Hearts 2-2 First line is a bit of a sickener

I think they will give Rodgers time unless they dont win in 10 games or something like that. They have Man City, Arsenal and Man Utd in 3 of their next 4 games But agree their team is awful compared to Everton and Newcastle. Spurs also are better on paper but Im not sure if AVB is a wind up to football or was unfairly treated at Chelsea. -

Arsenal had 23 attempts. They havent had that many without scoring since a 1-0 defeat by West Ham (first team to win at emirates) in 2007. I remember that game well and Rob Green pulled of the single best goal keeping performance Ive ever seen. Just thinking Dalglish has ruined Liverpool. Carroll, Adam and Henderson for best part of 60 million....Rodgers has his work cut out. At least he has got Aquellini off the books. But considering a few years ago Benitez had Alonso, Mascherano and Garcia, they have went extremely downhill. -

Make it a treble with Mark Hughes...Make it a four fold with Chris Hughton Im baffled by Rodgers appointment, Liverpool needed a top manager like Hiddink, Van Gaal, Deschamps or even Rodgers replacement Laudrup!!! Not surprised by Swansea winning, I fancied them to get at least a point, QPR are a mess. But 5-0 is brilliant. Liverpool cost me, had that been a draw then Id have been up huge with a 4 fold of draws....3 of which came up. As for Arsenal...same old! But most importantly a winning return for West Ham. -
Jammy feckers as usual.

1-0 County with 15 mins to go.

Man Utd are a quality midfielder away from winning the league, I can see Man City retaining it as they have a stronger XI. Yaya Toure is the difference. City also have the better keeper which is huge. Arsenal will go closer this season, losing Van Persie will have a good effect that they dont just rely on 1 player and will now play as a unit. Their defence will be better with Steve Bould as assistant. Wigan, Norwich and Southampton to go down but there will be 6 or 7 involved in the battle. I can see Stoke and West Brom struggling this season.
