gpl predictions (image) Bluebear54's GPL 2020/21: Rangers vs Slavia Prague

Rangers 1-0 Slavia Prague Morelos -
Its an interesting one as this offside flag going up late is by far the most stupid thing Ive seen in the game bar some VAR decisions. Richard Keys has been saying it for weeks that someone will get injured during the phase prior to the flag going up late.

Anyone know if the co-efficient numbers are combined by both club and international games or purely club football only? -
Huge win for Brighton and if they go beat Newcastle next they are looking good. Leicester pumped Sheff Utd and it should have been about 8. Arsenal surprisingly were the better side for 90 mins in the NLD but Lamela's goal was insane. How he got the power, direction and curve to measure it into the corner was unreal. Its one of those you try when leading 3-0 with 10 minutes to go, if he fluffs it wide or something then Jose would have went nuts.

Villa must be kicking themselves at that. Brighton v Newcastle next week is massive. Its the loser of this game that goes down for me. I think Fulham will leapfrog at least one of them.
-
Saturday the 2019/20 final is played. Portsmouth v Salford. The winners will get to hold the trophy for a full day before Sundays 2020/21 final between Sunderland v Tranmere.

Didnt see that one coming but this morning I read he threw his players under the bus by saying if he could swap a load of them he would - you cant say that. He was a cert to stay on next season and have a crack at promotion until that comment. Not a fan of him or Sheff Utd anyway ever since they tried to get West Ham relegated in 2007 because Tevez. Would much prefer Sheffields biggest club (Wednesday) back in the Premier.

Shilton (1990) and Pat Jennings (1986) both played at the World Cup at 40. Leighton retired at 40. Buffon is still on the go also. The condition McGregor is in he is easily playing on. -
Would have been a belter of a Friday night game under the lights with 52000 in the ground. Newcastle 1-1 Aston Villa Leeds 0-2 Chelsea Crystal Palace 1-0 West Brom Everton 1-1 Burnley Fulham 0-3 Man City Southampton 2-1 Brighton Leicester 3-0 Sheff Utd Arsenal 1-2 Tottenham Man Utd 1-1 West Ham Wolves 1-2 Liverpool

Mission Impossible save. Not just how he got to it but he managed to hold onto it like velcro. That possibly just pipped McGregor as POTY for me. I thought 0-0 before the game but said 1-1 would be great and Im taking that. We have the weekend off and a full week to prepare for the 2nd leg. Aside - Both Ukrainian teams got a good defeat for co-effiecent. -
Its hard to judge the quality and differences of overseas leagues when you see Leipzig second in the German league not even being able to show up against a currently poor Liverpool side. Dortmund struggling in the German league were the better side against Sevilla - Spains 4th club. Half of the Quarter final line up: Borussia Dortmund PSG Porto Liverpool Man City, Bayern and Real Madrid look cert to join them. The one tie thats in the balance is Chelsea v Atletico.

Stephen Glass the early favourite at Evs. Currently with Atlanta reserves or something like that with a link to the owner. If that goes ahead then Aberdeen for a 7th place finish next season if he lasts.
-
Juventus out. I thought they were in with a shout this year. I am against the away goals rule in general but after 90 minutes in the second leg it should be scrapped. It gives the away side in 2nd leg an extra 30 minutes to score an away goal. VAR in the Dortmund game - that couldnt have been made up. Its the first real look Ive had at Haaland, he is an absolute beast which I didnt realise. I dont think Roy Keane would do the same to him as he did his father. I thought Werner was more of a goal machine in Germany but he doesnt have a patch on Haaland. I dont like comparing players but he looked like a peak Van Nistelrooy with more power and aggression in his play.

Wee Nippy cant get any worse. A total deflection from her own antics. Hasnt she been pictured being maskless a few times recently? There were gatherings up and down the UK for 55, has there been any mention about this? How can the club possibly control the gathering in Belfast for example? Talksport mentioned there was Gers and Union Flags at the Dartford Tunnel area.

I agree with OP that this one will be toughest challenge so far. Over two legs Im confident. I could see a 0-0 away from home but a 1-1 would be great to get the away goal. Hopefully the players have been in the sauna sweating all the beers out of them from the weekend. -

Slavia 0-0 Rangers -
Didnt realise Lambert had left Ipswich - he would be good for Celtic or Aberdeen as he is dire now. Could see McInnes ending up somewhere like Ipswich. If he goes down south it will be mid table Championship at best though. No idea who Aberdeen will go for. Davidson has done decent at St Johnstone and Goodwin as mentioned has had a decent season with St Mirren. I wonder if they will go old school though and its one last crack of the nut for Strachan or Big Eck.

City to bounce back with ease. Man City 4-0 Southampton
-
West Ham keep marching on. A good win as I thought it could have been a potential slip up.

The scorelines in this league are so unpredictable. I thought Fulham were outstanding against Liverpool and playing like that they will stay up. They hit Liverpool on the counter every time and barring a bit of composure would have been out of sight at half time. In the second half they defended superbly. Not only have Liverpool lost their last 6 games, they drew the previous two matches to WBA and Man Utd and in that 8 game run they have only scored twice at home (WBA and City) - incredible stats. Something wrong big time at Anfield - Mane and Salah look like they want away. Man Utd - I think thats 4 wins out of the last 5 away to City. A total off day for City in front of goal - didnt help not bringing Aguero on.
-
Ally McCoist to Mark Warburton to Pedro (might skip that one) to Super Stevie. Kenny McDowall, Stuart McCall and Graeme Murty all playing roles in temporary charge. Im going to go back and have a look at some of our match day squads in the last ten years, Im sure there be plenty of unsung hero's who played in the lower divisions.
-
Wow. Im sure there is a few sore heads this morning. For some reason I knew our first trophy back in the top flight would be the league title before any cup. But this will kick us on and we will start lifting the domestic cups again. I have no doubt SG will be here next season. A few more aims now - relax and try go the 38 games unbeaten. / A lot of eggs can go into the Europa basket now. / Scottish Cup and league double would be some icing on the cake. Enjoy everyone. 10 years is massive, I was trying to get my head around that.
-
These results wont help you then ? Im the only one going with Burnley. I just cant see Arsenal going there and winning - they are so bad this season. Its a good job I cant actually get a flutter on due to location - Id be massively down. I did have a cracking record at the horses before but my footballing bets over the last 2 years have been shocking. I need to speak to someone about a VPN - I cant even have one if I wanted. I wouldnt need to go to another country to install.
-
Barclay could be there - another quality player. Hudson is whayyyy off. . Loftus Cheek is another - if he plays to his potential he is like a Vieira. But he never does it.

Games coming thick and fast. Burnley 1-0 Arsenal Sheff Utd 0-0 Southampton Aston Villa 2-2 Wolves Brighton 1-2 Leicester (21-13 on attempts) West Brom 1-0 Newcastle Liverpool 4-0 Fulham Man City 3-0 Man Utd Tottenham 2-0 Crystal Palace Chelsea 1-0 Everton West Ham 2-1 Leeds
