Moyes is beginning to crack and show his faults - putting the blame onto senior players when he constantly plays Bowen, Soucek, Fornals and Antonio who are all bang out of form. Antonio isnt even a striker and should be moved the wing. The nonsense he comes out with saying he needs in embed new signings slowly but the defender Kehrer played the same day as he signed and has been in the team ever since and is a step back from Dawson and Ogbonna. The Europa run papered over a lot of cracks last season - Crystal Palace, Southampton, Leeds, Brighton, Newcastle, Brentford and Burnley ALL got something at the London stadium last season. Arsenal were very good on the eye yesterday, it was a Wenger-esk at peak performance and the transformation that Arteta has done this season is massive. Saliba is a rolls royce, Partey when fit controls games and Jesus is sublime - how did he not get more game time at City.
-
And it makes our draw at Easter Road more frustrating. But those who said league was over after the last OF game were knee jerking - we have to win the next OF game - but prior to that dont drop silly points on the way.
-
Haaland is going to get 45 goals if he stays fit, what a player. Eddie Howe's honeymoon period is clearly over - a few boos around ST James' yesterday. He has put together a very decent XI and they are away from relegation but they should have won their last 2 games now. I dont see where Leicester get a win from, their defence is scary bad. But Spurs are flying in the league under Conte and I can see them being 2nd this season - which is where I had them at the start of the season due to the Conte factor, Son and Kane being so good and Liverpool not addressing their weak midfield problem. If Thiago, Fabinho and Keita could play 30+ games each then they would challenge but they are lucky to get 30 between them and they turn to Milner, Henderson and a youngster Elliott which is a very average midfield. Huge game at Goodison today. Come you Irons.

Thought we started well but it just switched off after going 1-0 up. What is it with Rangers managers though and being frightened to play 2 upfront and just 1 holding midfielder especially against dross in the SPL. Someone said it earlier imagine how many goals Colak would get with more creativity in the team, I hope Hagi hurrys back. Perhaps Morelos wasnt ready to start consecutive games after just starting for the first time in 6 months against Napoli but Id love to see both Morelos and Colak together in these type of games. Conte put Son on the bench yesterday for Spurs and it worked wonders - the same should apply to Kent. Overall I think GvB is to soft and despite showing tactical nous in the Europa last season he doesnt do it domestically and something clearly isnt right. I would like to see Gattuso' passion on the touchline or Sean Dyche who stands for no nonsense and overachieves with average players.

Even if he could string 3 games together he isnt an impact player which is what we are crying out for.

Who would be next up at Brighton? They have a great set up and are very well ran with a cracking scouting system - Potter has left them in great shape. They have taken 80m from Chelsea this summer for a left back and a manager that cost them next to nothing.
-
Think he did that at Southampton pretty well.

I would be happy enough with your team, but I think I would maybe play two upfront tonight and throw Morelos in. Im a huge Kent fan but perhaps start him on the bench or alternatively put him in for Tillman. But I quite like this: McGregor Tavernier Goldson Lundstram Sands Barisic Arfield Kamara Tillman Morelos Colak -
I think Chelsea is the perfect job for Pochettino and Poch the perfect manager for Chelsea. Its great timing, he is on a free and I think he would be suited to a top 6 club. I really hope Potter stays at Brighton, his stock is going up by the week and Chelsea is a pack of cards at the moment and he could undo all the good work he has done. At the moment he is probably a cert for the next England manager unless Howe keeps progressing. A good job for Potter next would be Newcastle, Villa, West Ham etc - the next batch of clubs after the big 6 - thats unless he gets the England job after the world cup.

I think thats a knee jerk reaction, a bit of madness to spend 270M and get rid straight away. It was obvious something wasnt right but it looks like the owner made the signings and wants his own man in charge. Tuchel did superbly when he came in, he beat Klopp, Pep, Mourinho, Ancelotti and Simeone in his first few months without conceding before winning the CL. And he acted very admirably when Chelsea's future was in doubt. Early runners and riders must be Pochettino, Potter and Simeone. Edit - Add Zidane as he is short odds

Real Madrid are just different gravy, I watched some of the highlights after seeing the score and Modric didnt get out of second gear yet strolled it. This Madrid side with younger players just look like a rolls royce and without real superstars they play as a team. Haaland at the double again, this guy will get 45 in all competitions this season - possibly more. He is like Zlatan and Van Nistelrooy combined. Bad loss for Chelsea, something isnt right there. If they never got awarded that farce against West Ham then they would only have won 1 in 6. They miss Kante badly and should switch a back 4.

SPFL move to cut Rangers out of vote on SKY TV deal
Gribz replied to BEARGER's topic in Rangers Chat
Thats what I was thinking and wondered if doubling up somehow to use two broadcasters was possible. In saying that we dont want to lose SKY after the Setanta disaster years back. On another note, am I missing something that Doncaster can simply issue a new / revised ‘commercial resolution’ to change the voting structure? While in the past when it came to league reconstruction and other matters this couldnt be done. Sounds more like making the rules up as they go along again. -

Mind you Ajax arent Real Madrid either. The Dutch league is always a hard one to gauge, their grass roots level has always been up there with the best and technically they are good but their top teams have suffered also due to the money in the big 4 leagues. But for me we should have nothing to fear if we take the PSV game into consideration and the players have to respond with a big performance. I'd bite the hand off for a draw tonight. -
VAR is getting worse and should be suspended with immediate effect for ruining games with 100% wrong decisions. Its a bit like doing your driving test and the instructor saying congratulations you have passed - only for the DVLA to call you and say you failed and we are not giving you a license. Newcastle one was the worst of the weekend but Everton fans must be raging Van Djik didnt see red. Chelsea are in a false position in the table due to their 3 pts being given and they are petty saying it went against them V Spurs - two wrongs dont make a right. I also thought the Arsenal goal should have stood as the Ref was 10 yards away originally and had a perfect view so VAR shouldnt get involved.

Lundstram purely for at least trying. Barasic' crosses were superb but its quite the norm for him and you'd expect that from a full back.

Havent read the full thread yet to get an idea of the overall opinion but I would say Gersnet over the years has always been more reserved and not so much knee jerk reactions. Gio seems a bit of a tactical genius in the Europa league but there is a pattern being created domestically of not changing it. On Saturday after 15 minutes I was screaming he needs to make at least one sub else it would be 3-0 by half time but he tried to ride the storm hoping we would come in the game. Its been seen many a time by the likes of Mourinho that he doesnt care how many minutes have gone in a game, if a change is needed then do it for tactical reasons at a minimum. FWIW I originally would have very slightly preferred Gattuso with his mass passion but overall thought Gio could perhaps be better for long term building - and it hasnt been one year yet so its to early to make a change now for me.

I disagree. At the time of 3 of the goals I said that McGregor would have probably gotten to two of them and wouldnt have made the third error. McGregor's shot stopping was still phenomenal for large parts of last season and I thought if he is fit he should still start unless we purchased a new keeper. I just havent fancied McLaughin since day one. As such dropping a keeper can have bigger impacts on confidence compared to outfield players but it can also take him out of the firing line if done properly. McGregor has always been a big game player and I think Ajax will be having a lot of action around our goal therefore I'd be much more confident starting McGregor. Id would be interesting to know what goalies are free agents at the moment. -
Champions League Draw | Ajax, Liverpool, Napoli, RANGERS

They will probably qualify. How many Barca players can actually play. -
Not sure about the Anthony signing for Man Utd. 86 Million? The manager is putting a lot of his eggs in one basket.
-
Very early. I wouldnt have had a fiver of Compo's pension on this being the first manager to leave. Although a bit of karma there. Fulham will have a hint of a smile and they have a better manager.

Haha. How come you get points for a score to nothing. No wonder you are the expert - This is a stewards enquiry if Ive ever saw one. Has a score prediction and a scorer "just incase" 😄 -

Best looking player we have had in a long time. He is not quite as good as his Croat compatriot Dado but he definitely has ability. 1.2m is a snip.
