With a transfer embargo in place and signing good players permanetely not easy in Div 3 Id welcome loanees from EPL. Preferably they'd come from Arsenal or Man Utd but Newcastle are a good big side, albeit overachieved last season, but should still have a couple of good players.

Heres one to throw open to debate. Why dont we go for Joey Barton on loan for 1 year. He'd certainly add quality to the midfield and is available for loan from QPR at the moment. Ok he has acted the clown on more than one occasion but also when he seems to talk on interviews he gives his honest opinion. But regardless of that he can also play a bit. I think he may jump at the chance and enjoy playing for us. Watching the game yesterday something like pressance and experience is still missing. McKay impressed me but he is going to need a bit more time. The Robbie Savage rumour may also not be such a back idea to get a good piece of the puzzle sorted out.

But bringing in experience is something thats been needed since Ally was appointed. Not just experience, a bit of leader who could assist Ally is needed. This time last year Id be disappointed that another Scottish side couldnt show up but all that is wrong with Scottish game is written in the scoreline plus after what has gone on this year and Dundee Utd being the most vocal anti Rangers side I have no sympathy for them. The SPL sides are turning into the San Marinos of club football.

Ross County would be a good draw, they are the only SPL team who wasnt part of the agenda. If we get them then we should still show up.

If we have gone 8 games in the season and arent top of the league then lets have this debate. At times last season I was doubting if McCoist was his own manager or just followed on from WS. Under Walter AM always took charge of the cup matches and set us out attacking then when he took over he reverted to a lot of defensive high ball stuff. However when we are in attacking mode and play the ball on the deck we are good to watch so Im not sure why he changes it. This again is why we need a more solid assistant in there. Getting the likes of Ray WIlkins in now isnt going to happen but I think if Gough was around it would help. Its McDowall and Durrant I dont rate as assistants more than not rating Ally. Anyway, a win is a win after a roller coaster emotional summer. We have barely kicked a ball in preparation yet Brechiin would have been up for this as the game of their lives. As for the commentary, we can escape the vile SPL team but I guess the shite still follows on TV. We hold a lot more cards than we know and shouldnt accept bitterness like Maclean. That included being a bond holder which was good because you got additional OF tickets plus tickets after you didnt renew your ST. Know idea how much it would cost up their now, and Id certainly be choosing the club deck if I was going back.
