Yeah Spurs have spent but probably inline with what they can afford so I dont mind that even though I dont like them. It makes them challenge but not walk away with anything like City 'Expect'.

SFA have a lot to answer for, they and the SPL have ruined the game. The SFA employed Levein and its went so far backwards.

This is blatent! Not only that Celtic were drawn at home on the Sat also, yet who gets moved for TV? We are the only show in town.
-
Just cant want Man City to win anything. When its a team like Spurs or Everton who have worked there way up then Id want to see them do well but just dont like City at all. Glad they are practically out. Arsenal still have it all to do to qualify after throwing away a 2 goal lead.

Mario Jardel - Crikey I remember this guy was all set to sign and was in the stand at a match before not getting a work permit. Remember being excited at the time of him linking up with Laudrup and Gazza. What a goals to game ratio while at his peak. 91-95 Vasco da Gama - Apps 50 Goals 26 95-96 Gremio - Apps 42 Goals 31 96-00 Porto - Apps 169 Goals 166 00-01 Galatasary - Apps 43 Goals 34 01-03 Sporting Lisbon - Apps 62 Goals 67

TBH that goal his best, it was an absolute peach. But yeah he did score other quality goals. One thing that Hateley had which he wasnt really recognised for was pace, I remember him scoring a cracker at Pittodrie running away from a defender who had a head start on him. -

Craig Levein exits as Scotland coach following talks
Gribz replied to ian1964's topic in General Football Chat
Didnt include him in the squad, 1 player drops out and Commons is called up and goes straight into the team. The guy was deluded...and as you say arrogant. -
I see where you are coming from and tend to agree with that. People do dismiss others simply for "The Now" and by what they have witnessed. Gazza was a stand out though, a genius who made an impact and has to make the final list. There is a lot of unsung hero's and a lot of names do fit into that catergory rather than legend status. Of course, everyone is entitled to their opinion and if Craig Moore (example) is a legend in someones mind then so be it. You get players like Michael Mols who are idolised yet only really played for half a season at his peak. Would he make a legend?

TBH even if we did have a contract stating we receive xx% of funds plus any damages are paid, can anyone see the SFA paying out? They would still come up with some nonsense to avoid this. Best stay away from them altogther. Let them have their problem....its these type of scenarios that need to arise to show them that the Scottish Game needs Rangers.

It will be hard to keep it to 28. Some others that could be on the list from recent era: Jorg Albertz Dado Prso Ian Ferguson (got all 9IAR medals) Nacho Novo Gordon Durie Stefan Klos Arthur Numan Davie Robertson
-
Bet Queens Park are pissed off as there will surely be restricted attendance for when we visit. I hope the other 3 stands are open that day to get the placed filled up and give QP a good pay day and a good atmosphere for all the players.
-
He'd get a game upfront for this team....
-
As Craig says depends who is in the semi's....if its say St Mirren v Kilmarnock then it should be played at Fir Park.
-
Wanted a) home tie and b) an easy tie. Thank you....we will take Elgin at home all day long. 3 all SPL matches means at least 3 of them drop out...good stuff.
-
Laudrup got credited for the 1996 Cup final mauling of Hearts, but Jukebox still bagged the hat trick laid on for him. Duries was also Scotlands first pick for years and did a great job. As someone said - underrated.

If Scottish then id want Strachan or Walter or George Graham with Joe Jordan and Gary McAllister to complete the coaching staff. Perhaps Lambert would be a good option as well, but he's probably later down the line. Likes of Coyle, Billy Davies, Joe Jordan, Dalglish, McLeish all named but Jordan would be a good assistant. The rest no thanks. Id certainly see if Harry Redknapp fanices it though.... -

Aye nae chance! -
I cant believe this has even made a debate. McCulloch has been slated in defence and midfield and he finally comes good in his natural position by scoring 15 goals by Nov and he could be moved to defence rather than keep banging them in???? If we want improvement in Ross Perry then Mr Mentor Davie Weir should have been offered a playing / coaching contract extension last year. Its no coincidence the amount of defenders that stood out brilliantly next to Weir. Next option is to bring in Gough to train the defenders, now there is a real ex player with pedigree and could who would be an excellent addition to the coaching staff.
-
Thats a shame, didnt realise he wasnt well. Hope he gets better ASAP.....one of my favourite Rangers strikers of all time.

Did you get out of the right side of bed today?

Barrie McKay isnt old enough to drink! Then you'd need to have it in a remote location where neds couldnt bump into the team and there was no game for at least 3 days. I think the likes of Durrant would be more up for that! But thats what man management is all about, find an activity that interests the team and get them together...whether it be fishing, Karting, cricket or hand gliding.....just get the ice broken and have the guys familiar with each other and knowing one another.
-
If we havent won this league by March its a massive problem! The fans have known this all season and have been shouting out that we should be attacking every team infront of us. No no no!!! Please no! A wee bit of overtime never hurt anyone. Get them together on the training ground more! Find out if they like FIFA on the xbox in the afternoons or something that allows them to spend time together so they know each other more and start to communicate easier......i.e. team bonding! Then we might see progress on the park.

QPR and Reading will go down with Southampton. Wigan and Norwich are capable of getting points when it matters. Stoke Villa and Sunderland are struggling aswell but will have enough to pull away from the bottom 3. Vintage weekend for Man Utd. They write off Arsenals title hopes. Man City and Chelsea were held. Everton should have picked up 3 points with 26 attempts v Fulham but its games like that which makes the difference between the title contenders and CL contenders. And Spurs beaten at home by Wigan. In the space of a week they have overhauled Chelsea 4 point lead. Man U are starting to click after a poor start and with Young, Valencia, Rooney, Van Persie and Hernandez all on form they could start to pull away as the others are capable of dropping points easily.
