Templeton having medical according to poster on RM

He'd certainly be the most promising signing over the summer. Although we're still lucky to land Black and Shiels. -

I reckon Alan Smith could have been in the passenger seat. -
Should be a number of ins and outs going on everywhere. With no Harry Redknapp then the fees will be dropped by around 100m or so. Villa just had bid for Dempsey accepted. Liverpool were in for him but are trying to get Sturridge on loan. Spurs will probably spend a fortune. Arsenal need another defensive midfielder / defender. Man Utd need a holding midfield. If I dont go out on the bevvy tonight then I'll just wake up as the window closes tomorrow and read whats official rather than reading "Robbie Fowler spotted at Ibrox" kinda rumours.

He knows he'll get found out in a tougher league. He seems to get away with poaching and doing nothing then fluffing a few chances. How the english media dont see this shows they arent interesting in reporting facts. -
Bits in Bold are spot on again from CG.

On a pay as you play basis he wouldnt cost a penny as he's never fit! Seems no Premier League team wants to touch him. Only Stoke and Everton have been mentioned. For me he is one of the most over rated players to play in the Premier League. Did nothing after he turned 23 or 24 yet has a glamourous CV. -
Updated with Everton and Rangers. Take a bow Bears!

I cant beleive that one Craig. Been hoping it didnt materialise at all. Although he will suit Allardyce' style and he may feel he has something to prove which is the only promising thing. He is good mates with Nolan so should fit in straight away. I did actually think Carroll was a good player at Newcastle, his work rate was excellent so he needs to get that back. But at Anfield and for England he fits into the same brackets as that Arsenal full back Jenkinson i.e. - why are they professionals! RE Liverpool, cant believe I forgot to include Downing in the list of Dalglish signings. He's possibly the biggest flop as Adam and Henderson were poor players anyway and Carrolls price tag ruined him.

Celtic will get battered in all their away games. If Munich can shake of their disapointment of last season they could win it this season, they've been drawn a good group. Man City have it all to do again this season.

Contradicts himself on a permanent basis. Hutton hasnt kicked a ball but gets in the squad (albeit probably rightly on ability), but its one policy for one player and another for others. Twat of a guy. Never been so not caring going into a world cup qualifying campaign in my life! Yet this group is the most winnable group we have had in a long long time. Levein should have been sacked after the hiding by the USA to allow a proper coach to get us through.

Any promising youngster should be on long term deals to cover a good fee should a big club come sniffing. I think what we rely on more than anything is sell on clauses from sold players moving on from the team we sold them to. McKay wouldnt be in the Everton XI so its in his best interest to develop as a player in the Rangers first team.
-
Dalglish was obviously high signing him in the first place. Adam, Henderson and Carroll for 60 million! Possibly the worst trio of signings ever. Stoke will fit Adams game perfectly. Rough hard tackling and no skill needed. Edu, Adam and Ness in the same team! Not even sure if we'd have been happy with that 2 years ago. It would have been a huge hit or miss.
-
Anyone know if Black was mates with Templeton at Hearts? He could maybe do a bit of persuading. But 300k would be a steal! I did say the other day a keeper is needed for cover. Never seen Bell in action so cant comment but Craig Gordon cant get a club down south and there is nothing to lose by asking him if he fancies joining.

Anything around 20000+ is fantastic for a Thurs night cup match. Another home game on Sunday which many a fan will be saving the trip expenses for that game. Yet 24000 would possibly see us having the biggest attendance for a domestic cup match in Britain this week. Attendances of Premier League clubs in Capital Cup matches last night to the nearest thousand: Aston Villa 15000 Norwich 13000 QPR 6000 Stoke 9000 Sunderland 23000 Swansea 9000 West Ham 18000 Everton - Playing tonight.

Anyway back on topic, any future Naismith comment can be put in Footie thread. Pity I couldnt get a bet on that by the time we are back in the SPL Naismith will be playing Championship football with the likes of Birmingham or Hull.

I think I'll just wait until Saturday morning and then look at our squad list.

Funnily enough I was watching a clip or 2 last night from happier times. This wasnt under WS but still a day to be remembered. The hullo hullo chant near the end is awesome.

Yeah thats right, I had some dude in Italy wanting a grand per ticket. Id have bought but wasnt sure how genuine he was being. I was ready to fly to Italy first to pick them up as I have to land in Europe anyway when coming from here.
