  1. Bet Queens Park are pissed off as there will surely be restricted attendance for when we visit. I hope the other 3 stands are open that day to get the placed filled up and give QP a good pay day and a good atmosphere for all the players.
  2. He'd get a game upfront for this team....
  3. As Craig says depends who is in the semi's....if its say St Mirren v Kilmarnock then it should be played at Fir Park.
  4. Wanted a) home tie and b) an easy tie. Thank you....we will take Elgin at home all day long. 3 all SPL matches means at least 3 of them drop out...good stuff.
  5. Laudrup got credited for the 1996 Cup final mauling of Hearts, but Jukebox still bagged the hat trick laid on for him. Duries was also Scotlands first pick for years and did a great job. As someone said - underrated.
  6. If Scottish then id want Strachan or Walter or George Graham with Joe Jordan and Gary McAllister to complete the coaching staff. Perhaps Lambert would be a good option as well, but he's probably later down the line. Likes of Coyle, Billy Davies, Joe Jordan, Dalglish, McLeish all named but Jordan would be a good assistant. The rest no thanks. Id certainly see if Harry Redknapp fanices it though....
  7. I cant believe this has even made a debate. McCulloch has been slated in defence and midfield and he finally comes good in his natural position by scoring 15 goals by Nov and he could be moved to defence rather than keep banging them in???? If we want improvement in Ross Perry then Mr Mentor Davie Weir should have been offered a playing / coaching contract extension last year. Its no coincidence the amount of defenders that stood out brilliantly next to Weir. Next option is to bring in Gough to train the defenders, now there is a real ex player with pedigree and could who would be an excellent addition to the coaching staff.
  8. Thats a shame, didnt realise he wasnt well. Hope he gets better ASAP.....one of my favourite Rangers strikers of all time.
  9. Did you get out of the right side of bed today?
  10. Barrie McKay isnt old enough to drink! Then you'd need to have it in a remote location where neds couldnt bump into the team and there was no game for at least 3 days. I think the likes of Durrant would be more up for that! But thats what man management is all about, find an activity that interests the team and get them together...whether it be fishing, Karting, cricket or hand gliding.....just get the ice broken and have the guys familiar with each other and knowing one another.
  11. If we havent won this league by March its a massive problem! The fans have known this all season and have been shouting out that we should be attacking every team infront of us. No no no!!! Please no! A wee bit of overtime never hurt anyone. Get them together on the training ground more! Find out if they like FIFA on the xbox in the afternoons or something that allows them to spend time together so they know each other more and start to communicate easier......i.e. team bonding! Then we might see progress on the park.
  12. QPR and Reading will go down with Southampton. Wigan and Norwich are capable of getting points when it matters. Stoke Villa and Sunderland are struggling aswell but will have enough to pull away from the bottom 3. Vintage weekend for Man Utd. They write off Arsenals title hopes. Man City and Chelsea were held. Everton should have picked up 3 points with 26 attempts v Fulham but its games like that which makes the difference between the title contenders and CL contenders. And Spurs beaten at home by Wigan. In the space of a week they have overhauled Chelsea 4 point lead. Man U are starting to click after a poor start and with Young, Valencia, Rooney, Van Persie and Hernandez all on form they could start to pull away as the others are capable of dropping points easily.
  13. Awful game. Arsenal again shocking at the back. Santos isnt a defender. Wenger also got it wrong playing Ramsay on the right, should have started with Walcott or Arshavin there and kept Ramsay on the bench to replace Wilshire after an hour.
  14. Half of them probably needed a wash  http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20199963
  15. I just want to avoid Pittodrie and Tannadice like the plague! I would fancy our chances of beating them but dont want to give there so called fans the satisfaction of playing us on their patch. Those 2 are desperate for us at home.
  16. Obviously the wish list is 1) Home tie 2) No SPL team No necessarily in that order.
  17. So sweet when it happens to them. 1-1 last min would have been nice but 2-2 with 89 and 90 minute goals makes it sweeter.
  18. Thats Holloway out for forseeable future, he's joined Palace today. He'd have been one of my favourites for the job IF obviously things dont work out for Ally.
  19. Its been a great debate in this thread both ways. My main irk about the management team in general is not having a stronger No.2. While McCoist is taking a lot of flak and rightly so with the sheer lack of not making changes at all I dont see Durrant and McDowall doing much apart from Durrant chewing his gum and McDowall drawing pony's on a clipboard. I feel those 2 are escaping a bit much of the flak. Ally might be able to rally the troops and keep morale good in training but a tactician and good coach on your team is then equally important and thats always what McCoist has had missing.
  20. Tip top game in prospect. Both sides scoring and conceding for fun. Arsenal still look weak and clumbsy at the back and havent found the right formula upfront yet. Wilshire back will be a boost long term if he is the same player but its Diaby they miss from the opening few games. Him and Arteta were running the show then Diaby got croaked again. I dont rate Ramsey. Utds defence is poor also and they also dont have a good keeper. What did Ferguson see in De Gea? If Arsenal defend well I think they could win 2-1 as Wilshire, Cazorla and Arteta could run the game with Walcott and Podolski creating upfront. If they defend poor again then Man Ud could win about 4-1.
  21. Great to get Templeton back but we should have enough without him for Alloa! If he isnt 100% fit then give him an hour or the last 30 mins, if he is rushed and has a set back it does us no favours at all as we are still a long way before being able to sign players, therefore we need everyone 100%.
  22. Just avoid cup games from now on until we get it in writing that things are settled. If we go to a semi at Hampden those thieves wouldnt pay us what we are owed. Between them and the SPL they are moving cash around thats not theirs
  23. Neither was Walters record down south TBH. When managers are pricks infront of cameras you cant take this as face value to what they are like. Wenger and Moyes are both different in front of cameras as to what they are like face to face. There managers like Mick McCarthy who is the what you see is what you get type. Not really sure Strachan was tainted, he never had an Old Firm connection prior to going to Celtic so isnt a Celtic man as such.
  24. Im trying to stick to guys with no Rangers links. Another Id throw in the hat would be Alan Curbishley. I wonder if Strachan could become the first manager to ever manage both Rangers and Celtic. All the Celtic stuff aside, how many would take him right now rather than McCoist?
