Yip, and our holding midfielder is a defender. If this team attacks the Serbs will hit on the break. Ivanovic does that well with Chelsea, fancy a flutter on him for the first goal.
-
Scotland line up 4-1-4-1 Allan McGregor (Besiktas), Alan Hutton (Aston Villa), Andy Webster (Hearts), Christophe Berra (Wolves), Paul Dixon (Huddersfield), Gary Caldwell (Wigan), Robert Snodgrass (Norwich), James Morrison (West Brom), Charlie Adam (Stoke), Steven Naismith (Everton), Kenny Miller (Vancouver) 6 former Rangers players.
-
He was found out at Liverpool so that was part one. But Rangers and Champions League down to Blackpool in the Championship could also be been seen as a slip down. Take away the wages of course.
-
See! The guy has concussion or something. I bet we wont win one away game!!
-
Thats a good thing for us then. Rep Ire were jammy!! 2 goals in the last minute.
-
I would walk 500 miles to boot Leveins ass right out the door.......
-
They are going to be very tricky to score against. Their back four play for some top teams.

We will be technically out classed by Serbia, Croatia and Belgium especially away from home. Those 3 are really good sides, Croatia were unlucky not to get our of their group in the Euros, yet the 2 that topped them went onto the final - says it all! I cant even see us winning in Wales or Macedonia. However 2 years ago Id fancy us against Belgium, it bares the question how can a small nation like them improve and we cant. Then again thats a silly point because Belgium dont have the SFA running them even though they have a ridiculous league set up. This is the least motivated for a campaign Ive ever been in my life. From the 80s when I can remember watching until 2012 Qualifiers Ive always been right up for the national team games. Its a combination of Levein and the SFA over Rangers. I still hope we win but if we lose I wont be caring too much. When we drew this group I thought its the best chance of qualifying for the WC since 98. No big boy in the group who are always a given to qualify. Its wide open betwen 3-4 nations of similiar quality. I think it will be another campaign of 50000 singing to the Proclaimers at each game and we will end up as glorified losers again.

Think I'll do 4 aways today: Serbia, MK Dons, Sheff Utd and Gillingham. A fiver on that would play 115 quid.

No wonder Woodgate had to leave, with Owen and Ness coming in he had to free up space in the treatment room. I hope Edu does well, but I dont like Stoke. Adam continuing his slip down the ladder...I can see a few red cards for him this season. I'll be amazed if Ness hits double figures for appeareances.

Belgium have improved a lot in the last year, the Dutch are light years ahead of us and the teams in the Portugese league would thump SPL sides. Why would THEY want to include us making their standard go backwards. Any Atlantic deal should be with Norway, Sweden and Finland, thats about our standard if we are lucky. EDIT - This is assuming its replacing domestic football. A league with only Rangers and Celtic joining the likes of Ajax, PSV, Porto and Benfica gets a thumps up from me.
-
Absolutely not. If you read over the anti McCoist posts you find I am not one of them and say he should be judged after 6-8 games. Im just a tad confused that he had a chance to blend a team and give them 90 mins to get to know each other on the park more and give them more fitness in their real positions but he didntopt for it.
-
Even more point to play the regular system and bring in the fringe an youngsters in this game so they are used to fitting in when it matters.
-
Theres a bit of Gabby Amato in him
-
Yes....but only when we have a team who is at 100% of their fitness and know each well and have been playing with each for a while. Surely gelling a new team in the system he plans to play is higher on the agenda than experimenting when we have had 2 out of 2 'fails' away from home so far this season. The positives from this is Kyle got a run out to sharpen up, but I cant see where 3-4-3 came from unless this is how we are going to play in the weeks ahead. TBH, its a formation I like and can have a perfect balance when it works, Wigan showed that last season by beating Arsenal, Man Utd and Liverpool with it.
-
I think Levein is injured aswell....concussion. Too many headers while a player.
-
3-4-3 and practically only Kyle playing in his natural postion, the rest was an experiment. Despite a 3-1 win that is worrying. This was another chance to get the team gelling and settled and finally out of this 'pre season' thing that people are going on about. AM needs to make his mind up now about whether he is going to play 3 at the back or 4. Even when he has being playing 3 at the back its been 5 in midfield. So the 3-4-3 is out of the blue.

Mulgrew out, Ricky Foster called up. Levein is a joke....Wallace is clearly a better player than Foster. But thanks again Levein, maybe you are actually doing us a favour rather than proving your a clown because we dont want him called up with 5 games in 14 days coming up.

Carlos Bocanegra's Spanish move on brink of falling through
Gribz replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
If he returns play him at LB when required, I feel his best games were at LB. Wallace would be first pick there but Wallace can also play games LM and give Templeton a rest or let Temps play in behind the strikers when Shiels is needing a rest. -
He is a bit Gary Bollan like. But I was more ecstatic about Whittaker leaving TBH.
-
Mulgrew pulls out squad. Therefore I am wondering if this is the first Scotland squad that contains no players from either Rangers or Celtic. (or is there any Celtic players in the squad??? I thought Mulgrew was the only one). Ricky Foster is his replacement. Once again is he better than Lee Wallace??? Levein at it again!
-
The thing that concerns me is how much of an impact that has on the small squad. We're fecked if we picked up 2 or 3 injuries to key players so the squad we do have has to be used well for the Ramsden and League cup games. 6 points in the league is a must. The cups are bonuses this season. This is still extremely early days in what will be a very long 16 months with no signings so as we grow stronger in 12 months time we can start to target cups. Promotion is by a country mile the top priority. But all going well in the injury front, we should be winning all 5 games.

Was listening to Talksport yesterday and some so called Journo called Keith Jackson (ive never heard of him) was saying how the huge turnouts in crowds had to do with malice. How do these people get the time of day!!!

Murderwell game live on the Biased Broadcasting Corporation
Gribz replied to GovanAllan's topic in Rangers Chat
The more people who can watch it in a pub will make their viewing figures lower. How can they tell they difference between an empty pub with the game on compared to a pub with 50 fans there. The BBC, The SFA, The SPL....3 reasons why Id have still liked to have applied to play in England -
If we play an SPL side away in the cup it should be boycotted. The likes of St Johstone and Motherwell would only get 2000 home fans coming through the gates and Rangers would get 3000 tickets. Id rather we opened the doors at Ibrox and put the game on TV screens and sell entry tickets. But we have a home tie anyway so its irrevlent for now I suppose.
