What has happened with Hutton. Is it his attitude that is to blame? He is potentially an absolute cracking full back but does he see himself as a bit of a hard man? He made a move to Spurs then Redknapp came in and didnt fancy him for some reason. Its a shame that talented Scottish players cant do well down south. Hutton and Craig Gordon was quality on their day but have faded. They should try abroad.

Is Ally the Man for the job? - The McCoist Thread
Gribz replied to 54andcounting's topic in Rangers Chat
Just reading the McCoist job thread....and whilst Ally has been spectacular for Rangers off the park in the last 12 months if you remove that is he still the man for the job? Are people who want him to stay basing it on his good work off the field. Ive been screaming for a year now that he needs a stronger Assistant and that might just make a manager out of him. Someone who can say "lets make a change now"...I personally think thats all he needs and he had Walter to do this when he was No.2 but now he doesnt have that authorative call. We all saw some dodgy tactical stuff last season.....but as we had Admin over us Ally always had excuse. This season its his team and his players. And we should be winning Div 3 games. Absolute legend and hero but we cant let sentiment get in the way...Its a must Rangers get promoted this season. I hope it works out for him but Im having doubts. -

Awesome Arsenal. First half was a joy on the eye. Now to go to Man City next Sunday and win. -

Is Ally the Man for the job? - The McCoist Thread
Gribz replied to 54andcounting's topic in Rangers Chat
I have said after 6-8 games we can judge. Now thats 3 away games and McCoist hasnt won any in the lowest league. I think there could be a mental block going on here. But we all knew he had tactical problems after last season. Would I take a change now?? Yes absolutely. However like Pete says we will win the league by around 20 points down to home form. But FFS bring if Ally doesnt move on bring in a experienced No.2!!!!! -
Well done Metlika. Sheff Utd cost me. Had a 5 fold of Arsenal, Man Utd, Bolton, Hull and Sheff utd.....would have been around 300 quid.

They havent been tested yet. Only played 3 average teams who dont score much goals anyway. If Vermaelen wasnt playing in those games it could have been different, he is awesome and could be the best centre half in the league this season. Even going forward he is good. But thats 3 good games for them to gel and try out what Bould is doing in Training. Tomorrow against Southampton is another good fixture yet they have put 4 past the two manchester teams so will have a go. -
Before the game is a nonsense. Just let the players run out wave to the fans and stay in their own half. End of the match shake of hands.

I listed Redknapp in my first post. He'd get the team attacking and probably would have won both games this week. If he got us to Brazil then it might inspire the younger generation to get back into playing football and put down the Wii for a while. Its the SFAs responsibility for structuring the development. The national team manager just has to go get us to win games.

There was a thread in Rangers chat, but Im with you he is far too outspoken and a bit narrow minded. I always thought he was a good referee in the Premiership though.

Four Hearts in Rangers pack can leave boss Ally McCoist flush
Gribz replied to pete's topic in Rangers Chat
Just dawned on me that all 4 of them played for Hearts. I think Templeton will be the best signing of the lot though. -
Superb statement by the PM on Hillsborough

This just shows they lie and sell their own version when it suits them. Well done the Hillsborough families for not giving up after 23 years to get the truth. I hope the families of 9/11 victims take note and follow on by keep demanding a real investigation. -
McCulloch has been scoring while upfront so should start a rolling 12 month contract. Id say we def need a big character like McCulloch in the dressing room while we embark on this journey. Alexander is a no brainer, has to be signed up.

Screw the SPL. We could make the SFL the bigger league given time. As said before half the Div 1 clubs are on par with SPL sides. The more glamour SPL fixtures other than the OF are against Hearts, Hibs, Aberdeen and Dundee Utd. But I have no problem avoiding playing those 4 again, the hatred they bring is rotten anyway. The SFL should start rejecting relegated SPL clubs and let those 12 float adrift.

Anyone of these would bring a much bigger improvement. Steve Clarke Graeme Souness Gordon Strachan Walter Smith Gary McAllister (as a No.2) Stuart McCall Paul Lambert Joe Jordan Kenny Dalglish George Graham For the last 12 months Ive barely recognised players in the squad but after seeing the squads for the last 2 matches and knowing Commons, Brown, Black, Wallace, D Fletcher and S Fletcher could be added to it then I actually think its a pretty good young squad and someone with decent tactical knowledge would have won both games.

Ridiculous. He is coming away with silly excuses like we are only 2 points off the top. But he forgets we've still to play these teams away plus the 2 best teams Croatia and Belgium at home. What a waste of a campaign already. Easiest group we've had in maybe 20 years and this imposter blows it.
-
Final straw. He's lost it!
-
There is a first for everything....Andy Walker talking sense. If we dont win tonight then he has to go. We've wasted time already in the last year with him being in charge.
-
Charles Green is awesome!!! Love this no nonsense approach to the SPL and making them look stupid. It is so refreshing. No messing with the Yorkshireman!!

Levein was untried and untested at International level as a manager but he got his chance. He was also in the same boat as a player once upon a time. I dont buy the untried and untested bit, especially when a player is in form and full of confidence. Plus in this day in age club football can be of higher standard than SOME internationals. Ive always been a fan of Miller but he's 32 now and cant run all day on his own....i hope he starts both Miller and Rhodes on Tuesday.
-
What an arrogant dick. Walcott, Rooney, Ox-Chamberlain and even back to Michael Owen in 1998, all young promising players thrown in when they are playing well. Rhodes has been banging them in and should start on Tuesday.
-
Looking back at the choices Stuart McCall is a name Ive missed out. Done a fine job at Motherwell.
-
Yet if Levein could put his personal issues to one side we could have had a 14m striker playing in Fletcher (not that he is worth that mind). Id actually rather have McLeish in charge than Levein. Just as long as he didnt bring that bald bloke Watson with him. Like McCoist with Rangers McLeish always needed a better No.2
