Why are so many avoiding the football

But who was the better and more effective player????? Kenny Deuchar probably scored more goals than Dado Prso in Scotland but who was more effective. Sorry, but even the decent Celtic fans appauld Laudrup....so to put Boyd and Larsson in the same context is way off IMO. Larrson was absolute world class. Barca and Man Utd took him on afterwards...Boyd went to Cleveland or somerwhere.
-
Not really. In our opinions we thought we'd be better without him and we were, the title was bagged. As for others then you are right, they are far worse. Likes of Naismth and Whittaker can jog on and not enter Ibrox again....Boyd would always be welcome back. Ive no problem with him training with the team at the moment. I just didnt rate him as a player and didnt approve of his actions.

Which one is the late? I thought only the West Ham game was early and the rest 3pm's. Reading and Watford are a stone throw from London and are also both at home with Man Utd at Reading. Thats the late K/o.

Id say Queens Park away is the best chance

As a geography fan I often look at the fixtures and see what team and fans have long distance journeys or short distance travelling. What I came across this weekend is that all the London based clubs in Premier League and Championship are all playing IN London on a Saturday....this has to be a first. What other city in the world could host so many big games on the same day!! Busy day for Metropolitans Finest and lets hope the Tube drivers dont strike. Arsenal v Swansea Fulham v Tottenham QPR v Aston Villa West Ham v Chelsea Crystal Palace v Brighton Millwall v Charlton

Wimbledon and MK Dons in potential FA Cup clash
Gribz replied to simplythebest's topic in General Football Chat
This game is on Sunday, quite intriging. Some Wimbledon fans want to boycott the ground to not give MK a penny but in a cup game they will receive some of the gate so surely they would take a big crowd. Calscot, are you going along to this? -
More the case of would he could not have done. Running up to the fans at Fir Park with 6 fingers showing his support for Ferguson said it all about the respect he didnt have. People spoke about how players should show up in shirt and tie etc as Rangers are all about standards, a guy comes in and tries to change methods yet a Ferguson and his mob disapproved and Boyd backed him in public. I was glad on the day he left Rangers. As Kuznetsov says going on to win the title without him showed we didnt rely on him.
-
The only way Ashley could get something is to re name a section of the ground. Perhaps the Sports Direct Club Deck. Or why doesnt he do a shirt sponsor? That would work. When does Tennents run out? Changing Ibrox is a non starter.
-
That would be fat londoner

Everyone entitled to an opinion, but Buffel had more talent on an off day than Boyd. Granted Buffel didnt play to his max every week but when he did play he was a cracking player. Still recall beating Celtic in Aug 2005 when he ran the show.

A big boost! Templeton is the player I have the highest hopes for in the next few years.

Fee a bit sorry for Elgin, what should have been their biggest pay day(s) in their history (playing Rangers home then away in the cup in 7 days is beyond their dreams) is screwed up by an admin error. They should get the money back this weekend. But I hope the 25k goes to people who are out of pocket rather, not just fans but many arrangements will have been put in place. Correct decision to call it off due to possibilities of over crowding.

Scottish Premier League clubs agree to 'explore expansion'
Gribz replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
That made me chuckle straight away. SFA and Professional in the same sentence. The SPL's idea of an expansion will be 12 and half clubs! I am still trying to work out their proposal, a league of 12 spliting into 2 groups of 8 something involving clubs from the league below? How mad can they get? Makes the Belgian set up look like a piece of cake. -
The name is a non starter for me, it already failed at Newcastle. Im up for a good sponsorship deal with renaming, although beeping Ibrox in the name would be good, but 99% of people will still say they are going to Ibrox on Matchdays unless its a catchy one. I still cant believe nobody has contacted Apple about having 'I'brox. That is a genuine belter. Stadium names seem to only work when a new ground gets built.

Nobody is thriving on anything, we are just giving our honest opinions about a previous player.

***2012-13 Barclays Premier League***
Gribz replied to simplythebest's topic in General Football Chat
2 horse race for the title now between the Manchester Clubs. I did the Premier league predictor in Oct and predicted Chelsea would be 10 points behind Utd by end of Nov, had Utd won at Norwich this would have been the case. Arsenal are gone and could end up having their worst season since Wenger took over. Everton looked a match for anyone until the lost 1 or 2 to injury and were always going to drop points then. 3rd and 4th place are up for grabs to the most consistant team. Would be refreshing to see Everton and West Brom have a real go and make it. -
The Europa cup is so de-valued until the final they have to do something. It should be a reduction of CL teams and put some higher profile teams back in the Europa. More knock out games need to be played....and the Cup winners cup could be brought back. This will make matches far more interesting. But the money makers will never go for that, pound in the pocket before the interests of the game.

Platini and his corrupt cronnies giving it some thought. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20523405 This would have been on the agenda years ago to globalise the game. First get rid of the Cup winners cup and bring in more teams to the CL to de-value the UEFA cup which includes CL drop outs....then scrap the latter and have a massive Euro comp. The Euro game was ruined by the fat money cats bringing in more CL clubs. Even just 10 years ago a UEFA cup run was something to look forward to and one the big clubs went for. You'd get likes of Inter v Chelsea which was massive, but now I dont even recall who are the Europa Cup holders!!!
-
Thank you for that! My thoughts exactly but I could add a few pages!

Did ok last season but started shaky this season - but then again the whole team did! We need as much players as possible and if it means not having McCulluch in defence and keeping him upfront where he should be then Goian is welcome back.
-
 Him and Kyle upfront in training shouldnt cause too many defenders a problem

This is what we need to do in January, bring in a few talented youngsters.
