Why shouldn't it be 55 and counting when Gers win the Div.3 title?
Gribz replied to a topic in Rangers Chat
In theory it is a 55th title but in reality it is SFL Div 3 title no.1 The reason it wont be No.55 is because the previous 54 have made us Scottish Champions, top of the ladder out of all 38 or 40 or 42 teams. This one makes us the champions of 10 team Div 3 only, and there is another 3 titles being won in the other leagues also. Celtic can win the next few titles and catch us up but our percentage will always better than there's at least until we are back in the top flight for a few seasons. IF it was a race to 50 then we won and some more. -
That was going to be my comment also, that was a shocking pitch yet they still managed to look as if they were playing on a bowling green. Its sad to say but I think Gazza is beyond help. He's been on the TV in the last year or 2 saying he is clean but Ive never been convinced. I hope Im wrong and someone / something can get through to him then he can help himself. I think its a disgrace the way people use him like this first clip. And there isnt enough help from him in the game itself, everyone always seems to just talk about what he did when he was at the top to get goo viewing, Schmeichels comments are right. Absolute genius, we are all brought up in generations where we watch players and i wouldnt swap Gazza and Laudrup for any other. The fact he has went straight to the clinic in the states could be his last saving grace....make it work Paul!

Dundee derby in Scottish Cup quarter-final draw
Gribz replied to ian1964's topic in General Football Chat
Yeah now we know why Thompson said things werent bad financially, home to Rangers and managing a full house despite Rangers refusing 4000 tickets then a Dundee Derby. Smells like fash! -
We need a leader. Whether that is a defender, midfielder or a striker there was nobody yesterday who looked like they could stand up and be counted and rally his team mates.
-
Then that would be bad management. The climate is something that the player should been aware of when signing. If he is under contract and being paid then he gets a boot up the ass if he has a bad attitude.
-
Incompetent springs to mind. Whats with chasing these Aussie players (Stella and McKay) then not even giving them a chance before punting them away.

Is Ally the Man for the job? - The McCoist Thread
Gribz replied to 54andcounting's topic in Rangers Chat
Spot on Dan. Its not about going out to a SPL side in the cup, its the lack of improvement on the park against Div 3 sides in general. Ive always said a 1 off bad day at the office is allowed but we get too many in between a 6-2 against some part timers and everything is rosey when we bag 5 or 6 goals. I like what Billy Davies has done at all his clubs in England. A lot of people praised Nigel Atkins for what he did at Southampton and thought the sacking was mad, it was the same as Davies at Derby. He took them from the bottom of the championship and promoted...he probably got them promoted too soon / early and wasnt prepared for the Premier league and as such Chairmen then overlook what the manager has done. He would certainly be a contender for me but not my first choice. Yet its not a debate at the moment as we still have McCoist at the helm. -
Is that minus's??? Alexander is an international goalkeeper and should be communicating better. 3's are generous for me
-
The counter to that is we saw the same dross when he inherited WS's squad full of internationals.
-
9/1 to win at Everton today. Had to have a bit of that and they are up 2-1.

Rangers 0-3 Inverness Dundee Utd 3-0 Rangers This with a team of full time professionals on weekly wage more than their opponents and the majority of players with top flight experience. Playing Dundee Utd was a measuring stick of where we are. The fans were genuinely excited about this game after all what happened in 2012, yet after the club refusing tickets the team also produced a no-show. We are showing no promising or development on the park as a team at all. As it stands if we make it back into the SPL we will be fighting around 8th in the table. Sorry Ally. Absolute legend of legend of a player and ambassador. We wont forget what you did for the club pulling us through the tough times but not hand the baton over to someone who can take us forward. It is time for a new Rangers manager. I welcome any debate with anyone who doesnt agree with this.

Is Ally the Man for the job? - The McCoist Thread
Gribz replied to 54andcounting's topic in Rangers Chat
Ditto what he said. Although not sure id wait until the summer. -
His level was St Johnstone, what do we expect? Good coach make average players better and mould them into a team. McCoist expects Sandazas SPL experience to be enough, yet coming up against an SPL side we get found out. Ricky Sbragia was on talksport last week saying how much he loved developing and improving players, what is Durrant and McDowall doing?
-
I'll give it the first 20 mins, if we have set out all wrong then we can have a rant
-
Yes and our manager is due us today also, he has to set them out to win. We are in a default position but still The Rangers and should be going to Tannadice expecting to win.

Sorry if this is posted elsewhere but Im just catching up on yesterdays news after being offline for 2 days. This is as bad as SPL....it would still have 4 leagues, and they want to ADD teams?? We need a reduction unless its regional. Dopes from top to bottom: SPL, SFA and SFL. -
Ive gone for a Rangers double. Rangers and Queens Park Rangers. 9/1
-
Blimey, correct score when we have been playing 3rd division teams for 7 months (no disrespect for Div 3 sides). It really depends how prepared the players are and how much up for it they are, which shouldnt be hard to do. If Ally gets his team and tactics right (high odds on that) and every player plays to their potential then we genuinley have a better team than Utd so I think we could pull off a 2-1 win. If Ally lays it out defensive then we lose 2-0.
-
Agreed, I hate to use the word hate. I tend to use 'most disliked' team. As much as Utd have fast became that team for me (which is a pity as I always had a soft spot for them in the 80s and 90s) the use of hate is too far despite me wanting us to win this game more than any since the last OF game and possibly the UEFA cup final. No beaten them since 89 in the cup??? would never have thought that.

Strachan to pick Rangers' Lee Wallace in first Scotland squad
Gribz replied to simplythebest's topic in Rangers Chat
The way Im looking at it is they are representing the country and themselves rather than any organisation called SFA. Duncan Ferguson spoke the other day about his regret not playing for Scotland and he believed he could have broke Dalglish's cap record, therefore if Wallace and other players want to get international caps then Im all for it. -

If Black was booed at Easter Road then Wallace will be booed at Pittodrie. -
Goram must have had some nightout in Peterhead, he is still wearing the same clothes from the bookies video
-
Im guessing it is because we agreed to it in order to allow the SPL to transfer our license to the SFL??? Its an absolute scandal and one we should be pushing but its the one embargo we can probably get by with. We will have won this league by next month then we can start to look at players. We will have enough in the squad to get us by until the christmas period after which players who have signed will be fresh and ready to play in January.

Odds on Rangers being punished for fan behaviour at Tannadice?
Gribz replied to bigy's topic in Rangers Chat
With the SPL rule book and from events over the last 12 months Id fully expect blame to be put on RFC before anything else. I really doubt any genuine Rangers fan at the game will cause the slightest bit of trouble therefore as the club have refused tickets and Utd sold them direct should any trouble occur background checks will have to come into play on those involved. I cant see there being touble unless there is split fractions of idiots who claim to be fans of other clubs imposting as a Ger fan. -
Rangers Supporters Trust statement on re-construction
Gribz replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Dont fully agree with that. They are being ALLOWED to be switched on do what they are doing as there isnt any resistance. Fans of all teams might moan about them but dont do anything about their decisions and actions. Id say the camp inside Ibrox of Green and his team, the likes of WS and JT are far more switched on.
