Steven Naismith: Leaving Rangers hardest part of my career
Gribz replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Yes that or donate a portion of his signing on fee at Everton back to the club. Cant imagine he'd be on anything less than 25k / week at Goodison after a decent signing on fee. -

She is silly to react to it. Anyone could be at the wind up plus there is always idiots with access to these social networks. If she ignores it then nothing happens. -
Steven Naismith: Leaving Rangers hardest part of my career

Even though thats a strong post Im inclined to agree. Yet not sure about the not forgiving part. I could probably forgive people as I dont like holding animosity but doesnt mean to say they will ever be welcome back to the club. Plus with Hindsight they are missing out on a tremendous journey and story that will go down in history. The longer we move forward and stronger we get I feel more ex players like this are going to regret. They will have to accept they jumped ship and left us in the lurch of starting a season with a bare squad when they could have helped us get a transfer fee to assist in buying players. As Davie has mentioned, its not the career advancement that has bothered fans. Charles Green always said he wouldnt stand in the way of players moving on once they transferred their contracts over. How good will it feel for the likes of McCulloch when we eventually get back to the top and lift silverware, that will be the ultimate satisfaction for a player, working their way from bottom to top. Its at that moment ex players may think "I wish I was part of that".....And of course when the Champions League theme is blasting through at Ibrox again the people who can feel proudness are the players and staff who have contributed to this journey and of course the fantastic supporters who are doing the club and themselves proud. -

Have any of his other 9 birds got anything better to say? -
Steven Naismith: Leaving Rangers hardest part of my career
Gribz replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Do one Naismith. You were the vocal pratt who thought you were bigger than the club coming out asking why the CEO hadnt knocked on your door explaining the future....how dare he not do that eh! Why wasnt the sentence "leaving Ibrox was the hardest part of my career so far" not said in the summer? Why is it only now when players are realising we are coming back as strong as ever that they have to make a statement to get onside. And they keep using the 'must do whats best for them and family' excuse. I dont buy that when Bocanegra, Alexander and Goian didnt need to, especially when Naismith was already on about 18k a week from a club who stuck by him for 2 years while he spent his time on a treatment table. -
I think the main things keeping him in a job is what he achieved in his first 7 years plus the financial fair play. Once that kicks in Arsenal will be the best placed team. But teams have 3 years to get it sorted out and in that time Arsenal still wont compete. But with Guardiola available you'd think a number of Arsenal fans would take that change now. Teams find it to easy to play against them now, they know exactly how they will play. He needs a couple of solid signings. The defence is still shocking. Jenkinson last season was embarrassing, people say he has improved but he is maybe a League 1 player at best now. Lescott from Man City should be his first pick. Once Diaby is back and if he stays injury free then he is the exact type of midfielder they need. If West Ham can buy a top player like Diame who runs midfields then why can Arsenal. Speaking of which, Diame out for 3 months, pity because he is a top player. The run of fixtures they have until the end of month should be max points or I think we could see Wenger out: Reading (A) Wigan (A) West Ham (H) Newcastle (H)

Would like to hear what Lafferty has to say for himself after his statement the other day about not being welcomed back!

Official Website just says: But no mention if this is public sale and the allocation we will get. Supporters clubs:

Guardiola or Mourinho will be wanted. But Chelsea want both also and Im wondering if Jose would prefer Man Utd.
-
That was always going to happen, you cant keep 25 superstars happy and need squad players who wont be better that the starting XI. Lescott and Micah Richards arent getting a game yet on their day should. Arsenal should try and sign Lescott and sort their defence out with a physical no nonsense English defender. Actually they both would be good signings for Arsenal. Can see Spurs and Liverpool going for them which would improve both sides.

Just noticed we are at home to Clyde on boxing day so that might be the game I take in.
-
Anyone know when there will be a ticket announcement or if there has been already for away support? Its a 1245 kick off so as I'm probably be in the UK and we would likely get a big section at Hampden I will try go to this game.

Amazing! What should also be noted is: Rangers 287,997 out of a possible 306000 (51000 x 6) Celtic 273,745 out of a possible 420000 (60000 x 7)

First job for Traynor....debunk this clowns article. Keevins is often on talksport and he cant say a sentence without having an agenda behind it.

Top right?? Remember what Frankie looks like but that was about 7 or 8 years ago....so might not be him

There was only 4 mins of injury time but they played 5 and a bit due to the coin incident. Utd scored on 91 mins so its more Mancini time. Cracking game though, 2nd half was as good a game as Ive seen all year. Had a draw on the coupon but was happy Utd bust it, they deserved the win. Chopped off goal, pen turned down and Tevez should have been sent off in the last minute. Balotelli should be sacked....scary to think he's on around 150k a week.

0-2 Utd....Rooney x 2 I have a draw on. City may still come back.

Is Ally the Man for the job? - The McCoist Thread
Gribz replied to 54andcounting's topic in Rangers Chat
I was checking the scores late last night while watching the BPL games and saw 0-0 at half time before nodding off.....my thoughts were I wonder if the occasion of 140 years got in the way of McCoists preparations etc. It might be unlikely but my thoughts were he would have a lot of people to meet and greet so possibly took the eye off the ball. Anyway saw the result in the morning but havent read about the performance. -
Here's my idea for League construction which could be the solution to both SFL, SPL and all 42 clubs. SFL want a 16 team top league and the SPL want a 12 team top division. (16 Teams would been my original preference but it is less games which could have been made up with a winter break plus League cup matches on weekends). However what the game needs is a boost and something to inspire all clubs. The first season could be a 16-10-16. The 16 team SPL 1 would have the bottom 6 teams relegated with 2 promoted from the 10 division SPL 2. This would give every team something to play for likely right up until the final day. I think even the TV companies would fancy this. Similar promotions and relegations in the 10 team SPL 2 and 16 team championship happen to allow a restructure to 12-12-18. After one season of the 12-12-18 the regional leagues open up and there is relegation from the Championship (3rd tier). The first season Rangers would be in the Championship (current 10 teams in Div 3 plus 6 from Div 2). We'd likely be promoted so when the new structure of 12-12-18 starts the 6 teams relegated in the first season would likely have fixtures v Rangers in SPL 2, so all is not lost for them. Its a fresh start and chance for every club in every league. The 16 SPL teams for next season would be the top 11 SPL clubs plus 5 promoted from Div 1. The 10 SPL2 teams would be 1 relegated SPL club plus 4 current div 1 clubs plus 5 from Div 2. The 16 team championship would 1 relegated from Div 1 plus remaining Div 2 teams plus all 10 from current div 3. This doesnt fast track Rangers any quicker to the top division so nobody can be blamed for that excuse. All rights reserved by me.

The SPL this year is like a Grand National with one short fence for one team and 20ft high fences for the rest....they will all fall off eventually.

Kwality! Cheers Ian. Andy Gray, cracking host. Felt Davie Cooper could have had a mention plus I thought Laudrup would have been there as the younger generation (under 40?) greatest Ranger.

Good stuff Ian. Those photos were taken pretty much bang on where my old Season ticket was. Right on the goal line. Gough still looks fitter than most players.

Iâ??m not welcome at Ibrox and that breaks my heart

Edu? I thought he transferred his deal over then was let to move to Stoke?? Looking at that list Ive not seen ONE of them make an impact at their new clubs.
