43,652??? From the pictures it seems Celtic on are posting how many tickets they have got left available for purchase rather than attendance.

I think its more of a case he only turns up when he can walk. Ibrox isnt the only place he doesnt show up, he cancelled Spurs v Lazio this season when he was guest of honour, although did manage the return leg in Rome.

You've had too much medication today mate. Gascoigne failed in europe for us also yet is the best English player in the last 30 years. Walter always changed things around in Europe to a poor 3-5-2 with the likes of Craig Moore (cracking centre half) in midfield. Michael might have been better but Brian was still a class player and changed Scottish football. So many foreigners who like to play 'football' ahve failed in Scotland with cold weather and being kicked off the park, they run away too easy...so for Laudrup to become arguably the best player to play in the country (even some Celtic fans admit that) says he wasnt exactly an average player.

It is really concerning what could happen at Tannadice. Aberdeen representitives (cant call them fans) are the most likely to buy tickets for this as they have a rivalry with Utd anyway, so a bit of trouble while wearing blue scarfs is right up their street. What a few Rangers fans have done here is jeopordise the club again as the SFA will pounce on the club with any trouble regardless if this is non-Rangers supporters in the ground. Pretty sure 5 mins after kick off we will know if it is real Gers fans or not. I hope it is but still dont think there should be 1 in the stadium.

I like that but think Shiels maybe should be in the team

So many have said this and I do recall you saying it before. I cant recall seeing Michael much and at the time Brian was at Rangers I found it difficult to believe Michael would be even better! But at the World Cup in 98 Brian was once again outstanding and sure he was MOTM against Brazil. As for Michael, he must have been an absolute joy on the eye.

There is certain 'old pals' or ex players that should be in positions though. Laudrup is certainly one. Neil Murray is one that shouldnt be there. As much as I like The Goalie I dont think there is a position for him other than Keeper coach, but good players dont always make good coaches.

SPL clubs give 'unanimous backing' to proposed reforms
Gribz replied to simplythebest's topic in Rangers Chat
A tried and failed system from 2 Europeans leagues and these donkeys still want to go ahead. The SFL have to get their views across this week. Failing that then our club have to avoid any TV deal, nothing will go through without a TV deal that contains Rangers. -
Feck....almost 600/1. I was being far too generous with the odds. I expected maybe 5/1 (Brentford), 3/1 (Leeds) and 7/1 (Oldham), but Brentford and Oldham must have been much longer.

SPL clubs give 'unanimous backing' to proposed reforms

Does this 12-12-18 include that crazy split of 3 leagues of 8? I cant believe Doncaster gets away with this. The numbers are wrong. 12-18-12 or 18-12-12 would be a bit more appealing from all clubs point of views but to keep the SPL as it is will be another nail in the coffin. -
Finally....Laudrup at the club in any capacity should have been done 7 years ago. Agreed Id prefer it as a coaching role but still the man oozes class so ambassador is a perfect role. And of course he should be given a wage.....

I hope this is correct. And after the decision is announced it could open a massive can of worms. Cant see how Regan and Doncaster can continue in their positions after reading Pete's thread 'above the law'. If I was CG id be looking to overturn the transfer embargo straight away.
-
Id be guessing it was around 190/1.
-
Strange timing from them, you'd think he'd want to be in charge against Rangers. But good for us. Read this comment on BBC, if this guy is serious then he is a crackpot.

Brentford 2-2 Chelsea Leeds 2-1 Spurs Oldham 3-2 Liverpool Shocker of a Sunday. I had a bet on Liverpool, Tottenham, Chelsea and I eventhrew the mhanks in. As the odds were poor I put a bit more cash on it and to get 0/4 is shocking. Just a pity Chelsea didnt get beat also.

When was the last time you wanted to win a game as much...
Gribz replied to Gribz's topic in Rangers Chat
Id have nothing short of a 4-3-3 with Macleod out. Really not sure about the defence but midfield and forwards this: McKay-Hutton-Shiels Little-McCulloch-Templeton -
When was the last time you wanted to win a game as much...

Next week will say a lot. Im currently bordering Kuznetzov territory against McCoist and if there is nothing short of a 100% Rangers team on all fronts then Im Kuznetzovs sparing partner. -

Mate Im 7000 miles away and cant wait for it. My problem is seeing it, Im moving this week and due to be all good by next friday night, but we dont get cup games on TV so Im going to have to locate some dodgy middle eastern feed to see it (unless some kind person does the necessary). We cant be on to a hammering....thats just not in the conscious mind at all -
We all want us to win every game, but next weeks game against Dundee Utd is the most Ive wanted to win a game for god knows how long. Obviously when OF games come around the desire to win is increased and always in the past fixtures against Aberdeen always raise a need when living there. But next weeks game against the most vocal team to kick us when down has something special about it and despite not wanting any Rangers fans there to give them a penny I cant remember wanting to win a game so much as this. All things aside about how bad McCoist is as a coach, the players should have an extra 20% in them for this game. Whoever is doing the match preview for this one needs to get it up early.

Nottingham Forest name Alex McLeish as new manager
Gribz replied to ian1964's topic in General Football Chat
Forest thumped 3-0 at home to Watford. Eck's start has been awful. Only 1 win in 5 against bottom side Peterborough. Hmmm, I think they were doing quite well up until O'Driscoll got sacked. McLeish was one of the best British centre halfs of all time yet every team he has managed has always been poor defensively, he cant expect players to be at his level and should work with them more on the training ground. Watford flying at the moment, I think Zola is putting himseld in the shop window for the Chelsea job, it would well be worth a bet. The Championship once again proving to be the most competitive league in the world....24 teams in it. 6 all in contention for auto promotion and the next 6 can all make the play offs. The bottom 10 can all still go down. Take note SPL!!! -
Leigh Griffiths nicked over theft from Tesco

This guy is a top shelf clown. -
Funnily I was going to mention Sheff Wed as another sleeping giant, a club with another potential 40000 every week. But how dare you compare West Ham to being Englands Dunfermline or Falkirk :box: . Id bet you now West Ham's fan base is in the top 8 in the Premier League. The players WH have brought through the years is scary, Rio and Lampard being the 2 most famous names but the list is endless. We have had poor managers and been ran poorly, the Icelandic owners screwing things up massively. Plus the limited stadia is holding the club back. Im not in favour of moving to the olympic stadium unless its turned into a football ground but it could springboard WH to being a top 6 side.

Is Ally the Man for the job? - The McCoist Thread
Gribz replied to 54andcounting's topic in Rangers Chat
Its not as if this is just a few one offs, for the full time AM has been in charge these type of performances are becoming a habit. Its beginning to ruin players and then fans will get on individuals backs. At this time we should be building for the future and playing in a style that sets us up for the next 5 years. If there was progress on the eye then the odd draw would be accepted but under current lack of tactics it is not. AM cant be a rookie, he was national assistant in a World cup qualifying campaign. He served his apprecticeship under Walter by taking charge of cup games. From Day 1 of being The Manager he had to step up to the plate. Its still not having a strong No.2 that I see as the problem, I just dont rate Durrant as a coach / assistant one bit. This league was a gimme and should have been used as a platform. -
Our fans have been nothing short of amazing this season, we are blowing the minds of people on all corners of the globe. This video will yet again amaze people when they realise what its for. Thats an absolute brilliant gesture and for 46000 fans to do this, who probably 45900 didnt know the chap.....
