  1. There are some decent sides in Leagues 2 and 1 in England. Bradford are a former BPL side in the lowest tier then League 1 is also getting stronger with currently the likes of Coventry, Portsmouth and Sheff Utd. In the last 10 years this league has had the likes of Forest, Leeds, Leicester, Charlton, Sheff Wed, QPR and of course Man City playing in it. I think England is the way forward to building a massive Rangers. Climbing back up through the Scottish leagues is a good adventure but we'll eventually hit the dour SPL again. We all want European football again but I would rather see 4-5 years of going through the English set up than waiting around the same periodin Scotland to struggle in the CL again. It will be a nice fairytale when we hear the CL theme at Ibrox again but people forget the product on the pitch might not be too competitive.
  2. For me the SPL sides have shown their tru colours, not that we didnt know this already. They hate us and kick us when we are down yet they still want to USE us for their own financial gains. I say wash the hands with the lot of them. Id jump at the chance to move to the Blue Square league. Im pretty sure Swansea fans are having the times of their lives right now and dont feel like they should be playing in the Welsh league. Cardiff will be the same next season....and when these 2 meet next season in the Premier league it will be a massive occasion.
  3. The problem is we have practically had a 2-10-10-10-10 system since the mid 90s. It wont really matter what the numbers are Rangers and Celtic will always be so far ahead in their leagues. Therefore pleasing everyone is going to be impossible. But the best option is 18-12-12 rather than 12-12-18 although 20-22 would be my preference with regional leagues below that. I dont see the point in swapping the numbers around to add or take away a couple of teams, the only change there will in name.
  4. Alan Gow the 2nd...
  5. The World Cup will probably be out of reach now due to Levein messing up, so the rest of the campaign can be for Strachan to install is his ideas then go for Euro 2016. If the SFA had the balls to do this at the start of the campaign then we'd have had a great chance to go to Brazil.
  6. Like I said the other day, some people think that hearing CL music at Ibrox again will be the be all and end all and equal success. When there is a bigger plan that should be in place. And moving to England doesnt necessary mean there would be no CL football, if we are registered in the same way as Swansea and Cardiff then European football is allowed....should Swansea win the Capital Cup they are in Europe.

Worldwide marketing is where Kuznetzov has a point....I can count on 1 hand the amount of times Ive seen a Rangers shirt during 8 years in Asia yet regularly see a hooped horror shirts going about.
  8. The English FA avoided Arry like the plague so Im sure they would be against his thoughts on this.
  9. Im baffled by him also, nothing at Portsmouth and Blackpool now Blackburn have chased him and got him. And while Blackpool isnt a glamourous club who in their right mind would go to Blackburn in its current state.
  10. 10/10 for enthusism
  11. Even Andy Walker thinks its a nonsense http://www.skysports.com/opinion/story/0,,20245_8384779,00.html
  12. I think the statement from Green is bang on. The SPL and SFA are scrapping the barrel yet seem to be winning and Green has came all out again saying we wont be misguided. Green might not be the most subtle but I like his honest no-nonsense approach in defending our club that he picked up and turned around. Peterhead and East Fife are already in agreement, just 7 more SFL clubs and this is a non-starter....Then the SFL MUST get tougher. I honestly think this is the last throw of the dice from the desperate SPL. Cross border argument is thrown out the window because Berwick play in Scotland and Cardiff + Swansea play in England, plus being in the 'Union' (UK) must mean there is some way we can move down south. For me it will happen and I can see many leagues across Europe merging.
  13. Bradford 3-1 Aston Villa. Chelsea 0-2 Swansea. Would really like to see Swansea win it, and I hope Bradford get to the final also for a pay day. Would be a refeshing final. Michael Laudrup has shown nothing but class at Swansea and is doing a cracking job. Villa are just absolutely rank and unless they sign some quality players they are going down this season. Its nicely poised for the 2nd legs.....Villa at home will fancy there chances of scoring 2 then its all square. And Chelsea will come out like a wounded animal. I fancy Swansea now and Id have to say Villa will probably sneak it.
  14. Feckin hell....he's lucky it was a solid else he'd have never shown his face again in public. Id be requesting a stretcher!!
  15. Make that tail waging the elephant. And why dont we have a vote on this? Only the other 29 member do? Even good to see McInally of Peterhead agreeing. As mentioned, its time to apply to the lower leagues down south. Id rather play Kettering town and Luton than any other SPL club....and any SFL club who votes for this jump into the bracket.
  16. Just shows the SFA and SPL are 10 years behind Switzerland and Austria....
  17. PS - At the moment 1 team gets relegated from the SPL. Under the new proposal potentially 4 teams get relegated. Will they even get the votes for this? For the new rules to come in you need a minimum 11-1 yes vote from the SPL. If you were Ross County, St Mirren, Dundee, St Johnstone...would you vote for it knowing it increased your chance of relgation is fourfold?
  18. How does the splits work? Do the points get wiped and go back to 0? I dont understand how it will work especially in group 2 if points are not set to 0. The top 4 from 2nd tier are likely to have accumulated much more points than the bottom 4 from the SPL so straight away those 4 will be potentially miles ahead of the SPL1 4 teams in the split. But if points are set to 0 then imagine Celtic are way clear at the top but all of a sudden they dont go on to win the league.... Or maybe those genuises at the SPL say only the top groups points remain but the rest are set to 0.
  19. Plus another way to look at it with the figures: Total Celtic games 12 Total Rangers games 7 Other games 16
  20. I posted my suggestion on restructure a few weeks back and it was to have 1 season of 16-10-16 then going to a 12-12-18 and it eliminated this very problem of some clubs missing out on playing us. Not that we should be looking to fund others but Im sure the Div 2 clubs will be looking at it. Queens Park could be made for the forseeable future....4 fixtures v Rangers in 2 seasons at Hampden with 30000 crowds! And if they gain promotion with us they could get 6 in total. The spilt thing is a joke. 2 leagues merging into 3.....Doncaster should report to the SFA medical room for a random drugs test straight away.
  21. Very disappointed some Bears would go to this game. And disappointed on all fronts Dundee Utd have played dirty to get a sell out and CG also mentioned it could be a supporter of ANY team buying these tickets then the media will be in full swing against Rangers fans. I hope there is no replay as I wouldnt want a few thousand of them in Ibrox. No doubt they would take a big crowd for a one off game when in the past they take about 75.
  22. When is his current deal expired? I thought Alexander was the perfect fit for our No.1 to get back up the leagues. Surely a structured wage with a basic of 7.5k with bonus add on of clean sheets (no howlers), appreance money etc could see him getting around 10k. Can see his point of wanting a 2 year deal though. It could also be a 1 year deal with an option of an extension depending on fitness at the time.
  23. Let them be. But some home truths will hit them hard the next time they want to go to Ibrox to watch a game. As for Miller and Boyd....no thanks. Miller shouldnt have been sold but as SAlly says, his most recent games for Scotland made him look slugglish. Boyd has been a disaster everywhere he has went since Rangers showing the rough and tumble Sunday league SPL was his peak and even then if he wasnt getting tap-ins he was less effective than a cardboard cut out.
  24. He doesnt get judged just on results, he gets judged on performances and decision making such as tactics / formations and also if there is overall progression.
