  1. Jamie Ness came out the traps flying and hit a wonder goal against Celtic. Silly lad jumped ship and doesnt seem to play the game anymore. Id agree with Barry Ferguson, in 1998/99/00 he was quality but was playing in a amazing midfield with Albertz, Gio, Reyna, Tugay, Kanchelskis and McCann. A similar thread could be started about players who started slowly but then came good. McCoist being the most obvious! But lately Alan Hutton and Alan McGregor were by far the most improved players Ive ever seen at Rangers.
  2. Bradford hold on and win 4-3 on aggregate. Happy for them, a massive trip / day out and a huge pay day. Villa are awful on the eye this season and would have ruined the final anyway. Lambert must have been wondering why he left Norwich. Villa are a big club on paper but Lerner is stripping them down to the bare bones. Hope Swansea can hold on tonight also and go on to win the cup.
  3. I use WHEY protein and mix it with milk, it tastes great although a bit dry afterwards. It certainly will help faster recovery plus can also be quite filling....one thing after a work out is the hunger kicks in and protein shake can be quite filling.
  4. If he doesnt sign decent players this month then I agree. Snieder to Galatarsary for 8m...would have been the perfect fit. He should also have got Lescott. Man City owe Arsenal for the Nasri and Clichy signings. Plus the rumours about Nani, not sure about that one, but Malouda is screaming out for a new team and would be perfect on the wing. Playing Coquelin in the centre yesterday while moving Cazorla left was shocking. He doesnt seem to have an eye for a player anymore. Diame at West Ham would have been an Arsenal player 10 years ago, but now players like that need to come to England with a WH etc first before Wenger seems them. He also needs to get back to 4-4-2 and drop this 4-2-3-1 as the players dont fit in to it unlike Chelsea who have a perfect balance of Lampard, Ramires, Mata, Oscar and Hazard.
  5. How many times have Man Utd rescued a game in injury time, it was their turn yesterday. Cuts the gap to 5 points but Man Utd have the kinder fixtures coming up.
  6. Chelsea v Arsenal Tottenham v Man Utd Snow started chucking it down in London, 1st game still on while 2nd games being monitored. Would be criminal if a Premier League game got called off unless its blizzards, get the old orange ball out. Fancy 2 draws today.
  7. Are you kidding, have you seen McCulloch in midfield? And Edu didnt show up on many occasion.
  8. Im out of reckoning this season as I havent seen a match since the 2nd game of the season and have no idea on our best team or formation (mind you neither does McCoist ) else Id be involved. I do hope to take in todays game which might give me a better idea, but as it stands Im struggling to match names with faces on a few of our players which is frustrating.
  9. Hearts are a feeder club....let him get form for 12 months there then we can pick him up
  10. Im a bit dubious about McDowalls coaching skills if he can only bring in a kid this good in Div 3. Why wasnt he bringing in players when we were in the SPL and why werent they good enough for the SPL last season rather than making make shift midfields with McCulloch. If your good enough your old enough.
  11. IIRC some Celtic fans boycotted Rugby Park earlier in the season as a protest for Killie not voting Rangers out. They used the excuse that Kilmarnock did not give them the ticket allocation they wanted on the last game of the season last year when Celtic won the league unlike the previous year when they gave Rangers 3 stands. But on checking Celtic did get 3 of the 4 stands at Rugby park on that game with some ST holders even moving seats.
  12. Im confused as to why a thread about Kilmarnock is in Rangers chat room. Werent Killie the only club to publically back Rangers staying in the SPL???
  13. Time will tell but I dont think he will go on to being a great one. The set up at Swansea was done before he went there. Martinez started it and Pablo Sousa took it on, Rodgers carried the batton and now Laudrup has improved them.
  14. Agree with Gav...overrated. A good player who played in a cracking team...was always average in an England shirt. Doesnt get into the class of Gerrard, Scholes, Keane and Vieira.
  15. Whilst talk of resigning former players is always exaggerated and unrealistic there is no doubt Mols would have done a cracking job for us in the last 2 years. He only hung his boots up not too long ago and is a) still fit and b) still oozes quality.
  16. With hindsight I think he was another player Mentor Weir made look good thanks to the latters class and qualities. He left far too early and could have gained a lot more experience and then his time in England might not have been non-existant.
  17. But he was leaving Utd anyway as they offered him a pay reduction....things not hard without Rangers are they Mr Thompson? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21020328
  18. Great timing by Southampton to save Blackpool and turn them from relegation to promotion candidates.
  19. Of course it is but how are bridges ever going to be built when the mindset is wanting to be in the country domestically but wishing the national team getting thumped. One day paps like Regan wont be around and if we dont move south then Im hoping things can be mended on all fronts for the good of the game.
  20. Thats a downer for me, McGhee Motherwell apart has been awful every club he's been at. I felt Gary McAllister was a shoe in for this position.
  21. A move for the money and lifestyle, however considering Fat Frank has been a good player (in a good side) then he deserves a wind down. If I was him Id have had 1 year at either Man Utd or Arsenal then made the move. I think he'd still have gotten this move 12 months down the line and he could have had another couple of medals in his cabinet if he moved to Utd.
  22. He was about 22, 23 then and still ran about like a 53 year old, whats he going to be like now!
  23. Do I even need to give my opinion??? One of the biggest myths ever was 'No Boyd = No Goals = No Title'. He has failed everywhere since leaving Ibrox and to be dumped out of the Portland Timbers says it all.
  24. Agree....and on another thread he doesnt want leave Rangers to leave the Scottish league...confused.com
  25. Thats all the teething problems that need to be looked at. I wouldnt opt for a move down south unless there was no restrictions and we played on the same rules as everyone else....i.e. we can be promoted to the Premier league, compete in the FA and League cup plus qualify for europe. Given 2-3 seasons in the Premier League Id expect us to grow financially on levels with Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs etc. Chelsea and Man City are financially in a league of their own due to the owners and Man Utd have grown in mass stature since the turn of the millenium.
