The German way should be followed throughout Europe. Pay a fair fee to get in and watch a good level of fitness. Cant stand when players through the dummy out and dont try like Pete has suggested above about Messi. The greatest players should still have graft in their game.

18-12-12 is the best scenario, reducing the amount of lower league clubs has to improve the standard.

Its all part of Globalization. Anyone know if the the teams from Russia and Ukraine previously played together prior to 1991 in Soviet Union though? The set up might have included them together then.

I see both sides, saving 100k is good business but we're not losing 100k either, we agreed the fee and we have the best LB in Scotland. Perhaps we will sell him on for 1-2 million in a year or so and make a profit. If this was first offer to help Hearts Id be ok with it but as said they refused it last time. They will probably make the 100k plus more next season when they are playing us in the 3rd tier after the restructure.

Fans backed Rangers in hour of need ... now's time to pay back debt
Gribz replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Ive no problem with going through all the leagues, why should we be leap frogged? What is a nonsense is being in the same league with all other 9 sides from this season and making restructure in the space of 2 months. -
I faniced Milan before the match, but I can still see Barca going through. AC are on a great run at the moment and have came from nowhere in Serie A to being 3rd at the moment. Think they were 12th at one point. Xavi and Iniesta have been wonderful but them along with the other Spanish internationals had another full summer of playing at the Euros so the games were always going to mount up. They are still a class above anyone in Spain though. Having their manager away doesnt help. Great sides cant last forever and with a few of them getting older they may not be the force they were in the last 6 years. Bayern are close to being the next big thing, I backed them to win the CL last season at the start and god knows how they never won it. This year they have a chance again but I have a sneaky feeling for Dortmund to win it. An all German final isnt impossible which would be good, Ive watched the Bundesliga for a few years now and been impressed.

Andy Walker was coming out with more tosh by saying the match this weekend between Celtic and Dundee is a mis-match due to the 45 point difference, where else would you get that. Well the so called greatest league in the world in England also has bottom v top match this weekend - QPR v Man Utd where the gap is 48 points yet nobody says its a mis-match.....just shows the different in the Celtic minded way.

He is Scotlands version of Piers Morgan, he has nothing to say and says it too loudly. The article (even though I stopped after 4 lines) is nothing more than "I will be around when something bad happens". He even had to start of the article with bitterness i.e judging a book by its cover, what journo would do that.

Will look forward to reading this a bit later.

Walking in a Laudrup wonderland. Wee flutter on Swansea to win......Michael Laudrup is a masterclass ooozes brilliance. Boom Boom Boom let me hear you say Gazza Gazza....how is the main man?

Been in Perth for a while, certainly attracted a lot of big names there but didnt exactly set the place on fire. BlueDan will know better. LIked him as a player but I couldnt get excited about the thought of him coming to Rangers. But as long as he is infront of John Brown in the que I'll be happy.

Cowdenbeath are in the 1st Division are they not? Which if is the case is slightly better standard than Divs 3 and 2 but not by much.

Such a 'glass half full' post from your good self!! I thought you'd be in the 'Ally will bring him back on not play him' camp. But yeah a loan move does actually seem sensible considering it is against opposition in a higher league and it will get himself match fit. But 2 things, we have pretty much wrapped the league up so giving him run outs for the last half hour of matches for us would have seemed a better idea and Ive always been more of the idea that loans were better for experience. Teams never seem to send important players on loan after injuries.
-
We like to see Boca back but as said he will be rightly thinking about the World Cup. Perhaps the season after we may still get another year out of him as he seems fit enough. Still applaud both these players for still being Rangers players though.
-
Cracking player when he was on his game. How did he get on?
-
Spot on with 2 fast attacking forwards. If Hemmings has scored 4 in 5 in Div 1 then he has to be given a chance in our team, it was madness to let him go on loan in the first place.
-
Fancied Man U to go through before this game. Its evenly poised for the 2nd leg and could go either way but with Man U being 12 pts clear in the league they will be able to rest a few players in the match prior to this one. But I wouldnt back against Ronaldo going there and knocking them out.
-
And watch it again in the 2nd leg when Juve are at home, I bet its far more easy on the eye. When I was training in the 90s we used to play 5-asides where there was a wall a little over 1 meter high then netting (to prevent the ball going into the next pitch), one of the rules were the ball wasnt allowed to go above wall height or a free kick was given, it totally encouraged us to get the ball passing on the deck. Such a simple rule.

CAMMY BELL has clinched a four-year deal with Rangers.
Gribz replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Unless there is clauses that increase players basics the higher the division we are in. That would make better business sense than individual win bonuses. -

I guess this is the case with free players we sign. But other signings from other clubs are not allowed to be registered until Jan 1st? Essentially making it a 18 month transfer embargo? -

Can Bell play straight away after Sep 1st or does he have to wait until January to be registered during the window? -
I just wonder why these former players keep coming back with these type of comments wanting to fit back into the club in some way, some of them have some nerve! Are they missing being part of the Rangers family seeing there is still 48000 turning up? Are they not getting the same glamour attention at their new clubs and are now just 1 piece of a jigsaw? It was the manner which they left for me especially from so called Rangers fans. The likes of Edu, Goian, Boca, McCulloch, Alexander and all the players who stayed showed what garbage the deserters came out with. I agree with what has already been said about the wage cuts being a great gesture at the time and yes they all do have to think about future contracts to cover mortgages (doubt that they even had one) and families but all that could have been done in the background rather then the cringeworthy speeches like Whittaker and Naismith. I do cut a bit slack for certain players who did keep quiet like Davis who did end up getting the club a fee, but as captain of The Rangers he went hiding. I hold no hatred towards any of the former players who are in the deserter catergory, I dont want to waste any energy on them either, they can get on with their careers elsewhere and have nothing to do with Rangers. But none of them are ever welcome to wear a Blue jersey on the Ibrox turf ever again. I have no problem if they want to show up at Ibrox at a game so long as they purchase a ticket like the next fan. If they were in the directors area with freebie tickets Id expect them to be removed.

We need 3 keepers but for SFL 2 we only need 1 strong keeper and 2 good back ups. Having 2 international keepers on the bench would be great but cant see either of them willing to sit on the sidelines. Alexander has been a good servant, a strong back up to McGregor and now a fine No.1 choice to get us through the leagues. Id be happy if he stayed until we are back in top flight. I dont know much about Bell but if he is as good then fair enough if he comes in.
-
What ever happend to Craig Gordon? Isnt he without a club? He was a cracking keeper and if we could go for him should he be fit then Id be happy with that.
