Old sticky balls I reckon to get a Wembley final with 2 teams from 1 country. Bayern v Barca (could be the real final) Dortmund v Madrid Im going for an all German final.

TBH I do also. I think he totally underestimated the goldfish bowl of Glasgow and the attention / agenda the media spotlight disgusting put on people. Thats not to say he is 100% honest or in the clear over these allegations RE Whyte of late.

SFA chief Stewart Regan urges SPL & SFL clubs to 'seize the moment'.........
Gribz replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Agreed. I said the other day it wouldnt surprise me if Doncaster has a Plan B in the background which is really a Plan A and it is SPL 2 so they are in control of the majority of clubs again. Again agreed. County will be showered from all angles this weekend with pressure, blackmail, threats.... And as for Stewart Milne, if there is ever a chairman looking for self interest it is him. He is just pushing through Aberdeens new stadium so he can get Pittodrie for property development on his other business interests. What County or St Mirren need to do is make a statement saying "in 2013 we are allowed to think for ourselves". -
I have had a feeling this will eventually happen. In the situation we are in the qualifications thing for a CEO goes out the window, its not the average CEO position. Its about steering a club away from the shit that has been stirred up and having a person doing it where everyone knows his background and the media wont be able to tarnish him.

Good job Regan. Keep it up.

Munich cruise it. Barca need away goals, I deteste that rule, I find it ridiculous a team can match another but go out. Look forward to the semi draw.

Financial blow for Scottish football's restructure plan
Gribz replied to bigy's topic in Rangers Chat
Desperado. Hope St Mirren and Ross County stand firm and vote how they see it and how they are entitled to and ingore the bullying. They would be made very welcome in a restructured SFL. -
But a transfer embargo should be a transfer embargo. Same rules for everyone. We are not even in administration but penalised more. Yet more nonsense.
-
This is just nonsense. If it doesnt go through then how about getting EVERYONE around the table and not just Doncaster, Regan and a few pals. Put self-interest aside? How ironic is this. The self interest is coming from a few at the top. The funding fans have already said they dont want it!!! And just as Utd season tickets are about to go on sale....desperation!

Would be a terrific boost to the defence. Easily a leader at the back. He has already taken a cut for the team when we first entered administration so it might be time we rewarded his loyality back a wee bit. Id like to see something like if he isnt playing then his basic drops but if he is playing and playing well he could make his 16k up in performances.
-
That would be kwality.

Why does Dunfermline's transfer embargo allow them to sign players under 21 but ours is under 18s? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22085474 .

Feel sorry for Malaga, good effort to get 2 away goals but to lose 2 in injury time hasnt happened since Man Utd won in 1999. Dortmund and Real in there though. Over to Barca tonight, throw in Munich or Juve and its 4 giants in the semis.

Would still prefer the corners to be filled with seats. Get the screens over to the Main Stand corners.

Charles wants ally to sack his backroom team.
Gribz replied to the gunslinger's topic in Rangers Chat
All for changes in the management team but sacking Durrant and McDowall wouldnt be justifed. Put them back in charge of reserves or help out coaches. But in general agree with the restructure of the management team . Go for the likes of Ray Wilkins, Brian Laudrup, Arthur Numan -
I did still have it on while sleeping and woke up when I heard the Aguero goal. Cracking solo. Van Persie early season was flying and Fergie's desire to get the title back has done it for them. They have a strong squad but still missing a top midfielder like Snieder, Schweinsteiger or Ozil, that would make the difference.

Believe me in 10 years time Coistyâ??s team will be heroes
Gribz replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
As good ambassador as Laudrup would be Id still rather he was on the training ground on a daily basis. -
Agreed, last hour blackmailing will be on the cards. The worrying thing for me is I wouldnt put it past Doncaster to offer a plan B which it is really his plan A knowing this 12-12-18 wouldnt go through.

Watched the first 20 mins as it was a entertaining start then it got a bit boring. City man for man are far better on paper, if they played as a team like Utd then they would have walked the league.

The below is message to the SFL to not give in to the SPL over reconstruction. The is quick first draft and happy to have comments and (constructive) criticism. Take back the power. Open invitation to…. Taking from the Cartoon The Bug’s life: “You let one ant stand up to us… then they all might stand up. Those puny little ants outnumber us 100 to 1, and if they ever figure that out, there goes our way of life! It’s not about food; it’s about keeping those ants in line. The SFL don’t quite outnumber the SPL 100 to 1 but my point is the SFL certainly has the numbers! Since the Scottish game split to a 3 way governing body in 1998 the standards have taking a downward spiral at a fast pace in which seems to be a bottomless bit. Despite a couple of UEFA Cup final appearances by Rangers and Celtic and a few good Champions League performances, the standard of play has dropped and the national side has not qualified for an International tournament. We are no longer producing players who can walk across the English border and be big names in the top flight. Current debate is whether to restructure the current set up to 12-12-18 which includes a complicated, farcical and failed system of a mid season split of the top 2 divisions going into leagues of 8. This is after a national survey paid by the tax payer which resulted in the majority of public wanting a larger 16 or 18 or even 20 team Premier League and then regional divisions below the 2nd flight. The people in charge of this idea – The SPL and SFA!! The same people responsible for the demise in the game from top to bottom. The 3rd governing body who ran the game so well until 1998 – The SFL - have taken a very timid approach to the proposal and I am not sure why. I feel the SFL are in a much stronger position than they think they are. While the majority of SFL clubs are part time and far from boasting Man City-Esk financial status, only Dunfermline are in financial trouble. All of the other clubs operate within their means. In the current top flight it is well documented a number of the SPL clubs are in the worst financial position in their history. So like a wounded animal with its back to the door the SPL is throwing the kitchen sink for a quick deal to save face and ass. Recently two of the better ran SPL clubs - Ross County and St Mirren – are rumored to have announced they are NOT in favour of the new proposed system. This of course has led to quick reaction from the SPL. The very timid approach by the SFL is a strange one. For the last 15 years the SFL have lived in the shadow of the big bullying brother SPL. Yet last summer all their Christmases came at once as the largest show in town was all of a sudden their newest member. It is the biggest trump card of all time! Now the SFL have not only grown to the size of their big brother but they have shot passed them by 6 inches! The tables have turned. I have been a bit impressed by football on display in div 3 this season, some of the teams get the ball down on the deck and play with attacking formations. Just looking back to last season and beyond, watching Rangers v anyone but Celtic was becoming boring. So the SFL seem to be doing something right. During the last few decades a few new teams like Ross County and Gretna took the SFL by storm and cruised up to the top levels, even Inverness are reasonably young as a team and are in good shape. Ok Gretna wasn’t a success story but they could have been! Additionally various clubs in Division 1 in the SFL have previous top flight experience and are on potential par with a number of SPL clubs. So why don’t the SFL use its trump card and have its own reconstruction! Invitations to Ross County and St Mirren could be starters to fit into a new system of 16-14. With the troubles the SPL have got without Rangers and a TV deal, the SFL could have a strong hold on the future of the game. There would be a massive case to UEFA and FIFA versus the SPL and SFA about who represents Scotland in Euro Competition. With the SPL in such a chaotic mess there is the chance it wouldn’t have a league to offer its other members in the next 12 months so the invitations could be extended out to other clubs. It could be a situation like Darts when the PDC was established after its break away from the BDO, the PDC has gained huge success and by far the most competitive level of Darts. At the very least the SFL has to obtain stronger dialogue during debates of reconstruction. It can’t be down to the SPL and SFA and longer. The saying “Change is now or never” by a certain chairman is quite possibly the last pitch, it should be met by the biggest swing of the bat and put right out of bounds!

Draft 1 done at quick pace in new thread. Please add comments / criticism.

Watching the interview doesnt come across as anything major at all. Even the "hardest title win" comment may have been blown out of proportion. It might have been from his point of view that winning one as manager is harder than being a striker upfront banging goals in, I can see his point there. But from a fans point of view we've had harder titles.
