That will come back to bite him. Just the same as his sporting integrity and he was still trying to strips titles a few weeks ago. And where is the sporting merit in making the rules up as you go along. Not even changing it half way through a season but 8 weeks from the end.

They were heading the right way until Big Eck got hold of them.

6 wins out of 6 and just won away at Hull and now 5th in the league. Fantastic return for him. Talk about someone who gets his teams playing to their max!! Id take Davies in an instant right now. Id still prefer to go continential again but if we go Scottish then Davies is up there.
-
Hope the Bo'Ness do you a win Cammy. In the other big game QPR just nip ahead at Villa. 0-1 Jenas. Did fancy QPR today, Villa are in a false position, they should be worse off. Already up today with Everton beating Man City.
-
Actually I was going to add "all the best to him for the future" and I do. But there is millions far worse off than him and its not as if he is ill. Your thinking I wished bad on the guy which isnt true, he was a bad signing, end of. And poor comparison with Durrant...Durrant was a player and a half. Kyle wasnt ever anything other than a poor mans Kris Boyd, even when he was picked by Berti Vogts for Scotland fans were baffled....so what ever genius (or should I say ingenius) idea that McCoist got to think he'd be born again and rediscover some sort of Alan Shearer type career was pretty flawed.
-
Says it like he doesnt know what technical stuff they do. Obviously did his homework on Elgin so reshuffled the team worrying about them.....
-
Again bad management. Handing a contract to a player who retired with injury
-
Didnt think the guy would ever kick a ball for us. He was practically retired last year due to injury. He should never have been signed.
-
A couple of statements from Ally that are a bit worrying. I normally can see the reasoning argument but Im afraid if he thinks the players are currently as fit and prepared as they could be then he is in the wrong job.

The full restructure is a mess. Weeks ago I suggested if they want 12-12-18 they have to from current set up to a 16-10-16 system for 1 season to make it fair for promotion and relegation purposes then play for the 12-12-18. Its shambolic. If they go with what the public want 18-12-12 then none of it matters, we go into the middle tier of 12. How on earth they will push it through for this summer is beyond me, they have to put a plan on the table at the start of a season so all teams know what is at stake.
-
Its not a new thing, its only became an issue since it happened to us. Meadowbank, Clydebank, Airdrie and Gretna have all gone and been reformed in 1 way or another. In Meadowbank / Livingstons case it was successful for them as Livingston hit the ground running. Dunfermline will be one of the bigger clubs to go but would imagine they will be reformed in some way and have to start at the bottom.

But do you genuinely feel we'd start winning things straight away mate? As it stands I think we'd have an poor first season where we'd get beat quite a lot. Even in the SPL last season when going into Admin I thought it would rally us but we lost at home to Hearts and Inverness didnt we? Combined with the team we have and lack of confidence in Ally at top flight id see us having 2 years of finishing around 4th. Financially I dont think we'd be near the CL group stages so income wise we'd be relying on Europa League and again I dont think we'd make the group stages for at least 2 seasons. Where as getting there through the leagues and building up a head of steam would fit the timing just right. We werent ready for Div 3 at the start of the season and we're not ready for SPL this summer. 2nd season in a row where we dont know where or who we are playing! How can we prepare for that? My reasons for rejecting isnt to give them the middle finger its every bit as much down to fact we arent ready and sporting intergrity. We opted for Div 3 last season, 80% of fans were for it and that means Div 2 next season and I say we continue that. As I previously said had the reason for returning to the SPL been on genuine reasons and was on the cards earlier then yes Id go. If we want to increase revenue by much higher amounts then we should push on with the move to England.

Good times for viewers in Asia like myself especially with the clocks changing in a few weeks. I mentioned in last weeks preview we could have clinched the title this weekend but as it is losing has set it back to one of these 4 games.

Ally just doesnt seem to know how to gel and mix new players in and improve them. Its an area where he has never had experience. As Scotland assistant he was used to the squad available and as assistant to Walter his job would have been to make the new guys feel at home. There is where once again he needs a stronger experienced No.2 like Ray Wilkins to help gel players in.
-
Usually they do the draw for quarters and semi's. Obviously with no English teams they dont need the old sticky balls. Malaga v Borussia Dortmund PSG v Barcelona Real Madrid v Galatasary Bayern Munich v Juventus Bayern v Juve is the pick of the round. Ive fancied Dortmund to win it since the group stages so I'll stick by it. Got to fancy the 2 German teams and 2 of the 3 Spanish sides. Semi's of Dortmund, Barca, Real and Bayern. Could be all German and all spanish semi's or final.

Away goals should def be ruled out after 90 mins of the 2nd leg. It gives the away side an extra 30 mins to score a goal. Spurs 3-0 Inter Inter 3-0 Spurs , 4-1 aet finishing 4-4.

It might end up being more beneficial to us short term. But its not even close to being a good enough reason. If the SPL and SFA were coming out with "we were wrong / you shouldnt have went into Admin / your transfer embargo was wrong / we should never have went after your titles / you shouldnt be in Div 3....and on and on and on" and if was about the wrong doings they did and were trying to correct them then I can see the reason for going back to the SPL if invited. Up until as recent as 2 weeks ago they were still trying to strip titles. But all of sudden there could be an invite because there is no TV deal for next season and 2 clubs are close to shutting down (with how many next season who knows!). Its a no for me. If we were in the SPL next season something would happen and we'd get blamed for it. I say we stick to our guns and go up the leagues our own way. FWIW I think the 12-12-18 has already been decided, they just have to find a way of getting through. And I do think we will be in the 2nd league of 12 therefore playing SPL 1 sides when the ludicrious split starts.
-
Agreed. And what player is going to join on short term deals. We'll sign more of the same and be stuck with them on 3 year contracts. Right now we are planning for 3 seasons in the SFL signing players to get us up the leagues then improving the standard of players when the time is right. If we are all of a sudden in the SPL we're left wasting wages on the players we have now who arent good enough for the SPL. However the other side of the coin is that these players MIGHT be good enough and improve under a manager who's training and coaching improves players. So are we then stuck with a manager who isnt good enough for the SPL? I cant believe people would accept going back to the SPL in a few months time to save the skin of others and not based on the wrong doings against us last year. Lets be honest the sole reason to propell Rangers back to the SPL is finance and nothing else. If it was genuine reasons then it would have been on the table months ago!!
-
And then CG applies to the Blue Square league and the greed is pulled away from them and all these teams dont know what hit them.
-
Absolute no for me. Why go backwards into the hate filled league. It will just be like what it was. And thats not just a view of being bored of going against the SPL and its clubs, for the good of the club having 3 seasons out the SPL gives us a platform to build for the future, get the club in a healthy position so 3 years down the line we are ready to take it by storm. We have already wasted one season not putting in a new football philosophy, but there is still time to start this summer. Anyway the clubs in Div3 play better football than the SPL also, Im sure Div 2 clubs will also. Whilst Im all for forgiveness overall, people cant be to quick to forget 12 months ago when we were taking a battering. But trying to get us back not for sporting intergrity but for saving their own skins would be a total no for me. With the current squad we'd struggle in the SPL - we've seen that with defeats from Inverness and Dundee Utd, the defence is absolute scary at times (although Id imagine Boca and Goian would return) but what happens if we went down? Would the SPL cancel relegation that season?
-
Im astonished then! The away goal rule should be scrapped.
-
Quite a few big games this weekend. Aston Villa v QPR should be a belter to watch. Looking forward to that one.
-
Im 33 not 83

Id be astonished if Arsenal even win over 90 mins but stranger things have happened, i.e. Chelsea won in the final last season albeit a draw in 90 mins. Wilshire, Sagna and the keeper all out so can only see a home win although Im hoping for a vintage Arsenal CL performance. With Wilshire out it makes midfield more easy for Wenger. As good as Wilshire is since he has come back the shape of the team has been altered to accomodate him with Cazorla playing wide and Podolski getting dropped. Wenger keeps persisiting with Ramsay who for me hasnt been the same since his injury and should have went out on loan. Jenkinson just isnt an Arsenal player. From midfield onwards Id like to see Wenger choose: _____Arteta_____Diaby______ Walcott____Cazorla_____Oxlade C __________Podolski_________

Im lucky enough to remember seeing Maradona on TV - just. He was incredible and the best and that was even when he was getting kicked off the park, playing in a slightly different era where tackling was tougher, balls heavier and pitches not as good as today....if he played today he'd be unplayable. Messi is on the way to that. If he wins the CL this season then does it at the WC next summer he will go on par with Maradona. The term 'Great' gets banded about a lot but there is a top drawer where the best players go into. I didnt see Pele, Best or Cryuff so going on the players I have seen and can remember they are (not in any order): Maradona Zidane Ronaldo (Brazil) Rivaldo Romario Baggio Ronaldo (Cristiano) Messi Stoichkov M Laudrup B Laudrup Gascoigne Henry Vieira Matthaus Del Piero Roy Keane Paul Scholes Xavi Iniesta G Weah Bergkamp Van Basten Gullit Figo Hagi
