Totally forgot about games last night. Chelsea 2-0 Arsenal Aston Villa 1-1 Everton Man Utd 2-2 Liverpool
-
Guaranteed Whosthedado will provide us with the worst XI. Steven - over to you son.....
-
Love it Love it. Shouldnt this be a thread I should start though? ? Im working on my XI. Surely I can bring Jeffers back?
-
Ive got Michael Owen on the box who has gained masses of weight....Now Nicky Summerbee - bit of an arrogant dick. Keys and Grey will be on shortly - legends.
-
Will reply tomorrow mate. But yeah agreed. What do I know Wolves hit a double. Nuno is actually the manager Spurs need.
-
The move to bring Tuchel in place of Lampard - masterstroke. Chelsea are actually looking frightening. Playing like this then I think they will win the league next season - at a canter.
-
Will reply to the latest posts shortly. I just woke up from a scary vodka pitch. Watching Wolves v Brig-hit-on at the moment. Potter is very impressive but he cant surely be a Spurs manager. I love you all gersnetters. Vodka loyal.

Interesting. I dont recall Ray Stewart though - did he play for Dundee Utd? I will need to search. But I remember Liam Brady spraying balls around like it was a training exercise. My fave West Ham player of that era was Stuart Slater - he used to destroy defenders. then he went to Celtic and it finished him. I was a junior hammer and was on the pitch when Billy Bonds took charge.
-
Well hump me sideways...Leicester 2-4 Newcastle. Where did that come from.
-
Scott / Compo West Ham probably had a team you guys would appreciate that day I first went to Upton Park. Big Phil Parkes in goal, Alvin Martin centre half, Tommy McQueen (ex aberdeen) Ray Stewart (I really dont remember much about him) Liam Brady in his final year. McAvennie.
-
Whats your like about them MrScott if I may ask? They have been a bit of a yoyo club and border the line about being an all Premier league club. My very first West Ham game was WBA at home in 1989 and WBA won 3-2 at upton park. I did go to the Hawthorns the next season and West Ham won 1-0..a certain Frank McAvennie was playing up top in his second spell.

Villa Park bidding to take the CL final rather than going to Istanbul - makes sense especially with empty grounds. Villa Park should still be used for FA Cup semi finals. Man Utd v Villarreal in the Europa Final - Arsenal were poor and bar Aubameyang's half chances they didnt look like scoring. It is the Unai Emery cup - his 5th final. But after watching them Man Utd have nothing to fear and should win that comfortably. I think it will be a Manchester double on the Euro fronts.
-
Some good games this weekend including the dress rehearsal of the CL final - and a chance for City to wrap up the title. Leicester 2-0 Newcastle Leeds 2-1 Tottenham Sheff Utd 1-0 Crystal Palace Man City 2-0 Chelsea (Champions) Liverpool 3-0 Southampton Wolves 1-0 Brighton Aston Villa 1-2 Man Utd West Ham 2-2 Everton Arsenal 2-0 West Brom (WBA relegated) Fulham 1-2 Burnley

Rangers quartet nominated for Writers' player of the year award
Gribz replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
McGregor for me.... To surpass The Goalie takes a lot and he has done it Im going left field to an extend with my 3 1. McGregor 2. Kent. 3. Barisic -
Barisic is a must stay. At RB we have Patterson who could be the next Hutton. But as you mention perhaps Kamara would be the one to sell if Juve still want to pipe up 10m. Id like him to stay as he will get better.
-
Yes - he signed a new deal on the same day Klopp did at Liverpool - Im sure its until 2023
-
I guess we also need to consider Summer outgoings also - hopefully this remains squad players. Kent staying is top priority for me and in the event we needed to sell an asset to then spend on other areas Kent would be the one I wouldnt let go. Barisic is key also - and if he makes the Euro's he will be in the shop window unfortunately. But if we make the CL group stages I dont think anyone would want to leave.
-
I dont think they have been as good as two seasons ago due to their slow league start and the odd off performance as you mentioned but its been a slight tweak in formation which probably took a few weeks to get use to along with adapting without Silva and Kompany (more so last season) but in Foden and Diaz they have solved that issue. Id still have Aguero up top - his finish on Saturday was a rocket.
-
Yeah same here, nothing against either but seeing Rooney relegated would raise a smirk. But always had a soft spot for Wednesday and hoping they can eventually get back to the top flight. If ever a super rich investor wanted to buy a club it should be Sheff Wed. Thee sleeping giant. Having a look at the tables - League one next season could have Sunderland, Ipswich, Charlton, Bolton, Derby and Sheff Wed.
-
Any two from Derby, Rotherham and Sheff Wed can still go down. (Wycombe can mathematically stay up but its beyond unrealistic with the goal difference) Derby 43 pts with GD of -22 Rotherham 41 pts with GD -16 Sheff Wed 40 pts with GD -21 Its Derby v Sheff Wed on the last day and Cardiff v Rotherham. Rotherham need to win and hope Derby dont win to stay up. Derby just need to win although a draw is good enough if Rotherham dont beat Cardiff. Sheff Wed need to beat Derby and hope Rotherham dont beat Cardiff. I'll be watching that Derby v Sheff Wed game on Saturday (12:30 K/o UK) and hoping the Owls can win there.
-
City are there. Much stronger than PSG over two games. Playing like this I dont see Chelsea or Real stopping them. I know Chelsea won the FA Cup semi final but it was a changed side that day.
-
Legendary. I never get tired of hearing that.
-
Podcast was a good listen this morning, first one Ive listened to in ages. Discussion was spot on although if I was Colin Id still have had a few cans after the game ? Stewart Weir is great - I use to hear him often on Talksport during the night UK time and always thought he was on the ball. Fully agree about McGregor and the save he tipped onto the bar - I think its maybe went 'slightly' under the radar as to how good it was, it was going in.
-
Well done sir - I suppose you were due a win. Kent is on the verge of being a special player, he has all the ability and he is the one I worry about losing the most.
-
I know, you have to ask this question. They were acting like they werent Man Utd fans. I found it very dubious. Unfortunately I dont think this is a one off, it could have a domino effect. By all means have a protest although Im never sure what Protests gain unless they are in mammoth numbers but going into the stadium is effectively break-in. Obviously they didnt envisage getting the game called off but whether that is something that now gathers momentum to hit owners in the pocket is another thing. On the pitch Arsenal rock up with a good performance which is what they do to paper over cracks but Arteta has to look at Martinelli and Aubameyeng and start them on Thursday.
