  1. I read it yesterday and laughed at them, it jumped out straight away as a cheap dig which makes them look very amateurish.
  2. Such a shame for Ricksen......All Bears are behind him in support of this.
  3. Im all for neutral grounds but the decision made already to play the Scottish Cup final at Celtic Park stinks at this stage. Whats wrong with waiting to see who is in the final first. If Celtic v Someone else then play it at Ibrox, if its Rangers v someone else then play it at Parkhead. If its an OF final then toss a coin like they did in the 90s when Hampden was being redeveloped. As for the Ramsdens I think Easter Road is a good choice albeit with a 20000 limit. The atmosphere will be good.
  4. Nothing used to beat Ceefax and teletext in the 80s and 90s! I used to be glued to the scores every Saturday.
  5. City certainly have the best squad on paper but they still seem to be lacking something...perhaps a bit of urgency. If those players are 110% committed and determined and feel its a squad game then I think they would win the league by at least 6 points. Doesn't help their defence and keeper is making blunders but they should come good.
  6. Are you saying we cant develop the players we signed and they only have a 'Game A' and aren't capable of being coached to play a certain type of football?

    Jon Daly

And if anything it signals a bit of a warning to the SPL that after a tough first season we are beginning to click and on our way back....
  8. To read we had made the final had puzzled me, I thought it was a 2 legged semi final as it wasn't at a neutral ground. Will be nice to add this comp to the trophy room and have the full collection! Easter Road wouldn't be a bad venue as it holds 20000 and would have a good atmosphere but for a final we could easily bring a bigger crowd than that.
  9. None of Arsenals defenders would get into Man City or Chelseas team and that's the point. Vermaelen has went backwards in the last 2 years. Mertesacker is good but lacks pace. They are missing a lot through injury, if Flamini, Poldolski, Walcott, Ox-Chamberlain and Diaby was available then it may have been different last night.
  10. That will be the Jenkinson who was at fault for Chelseas first goal. This was Arsenals first test against title contender and they looked well weaker, how many times can it be said about their defence and keeper isn't strong enough and will let them down.
  11. Would like to see Little, Daly and Clark play. Peralta could move to RB and Little can move out right - its not his best position but its one he can more than fill in and I think he deserves to be in the team. Templeton is another option of course.
  12. Sagna played RB on Saturday. Gnabry came on so I think its him. I don't rate Jenkinson either, plus he was a Charlton first teamer.
  13. I fully agree with the OP. It may have been a bit premature to expect it last season considering we started the season with 6 players, but we got through it and this season we have a big squad and it was still early enough to start a new footballing philosophy. I think this could also have been done while still winning the league at a canter. The mentality just seems to be win the league only. Nothing wrong with that but I do agree we are missing out on a chance to start afresh something new.
  14. City error in last minute to gift Chelsea 3 points. City and Utd both lost a 3rd of their games so far. They cant afford much more defeats, it may be wide open at the moment but Arsenal and Chelsea don't look like they are going to lose many games. Cracking league at the moment with Everton, Spurs, Liverpool and Southampton all up there. Id like to see Everton and Southampton last the pace. David Moyes has been trying for years to get Everton above Man Utd, he's finally done it
  15. Nope but I'll be watching Chelsea v City Im going for a draw.

    100% record

How long does everyone think we can keep going with the winning streak? That's played 10 won 10. At this rate the league will be mathematically over very early. Our next 3 leagues games - Dunfermline, Airdrie and Forfar ALL at Ibrox so Id be expecting it to be played 13 won 13 after these matches. Progress in 2 cups should also be made in the next 6 days with a Ramsdens Cup semi-final against Stenhousemuir this week and Scottish Cup match at home to Airdrie next weekend.
  17. Barca's front 5 is just lethal. Xavi, Iniesta, Fabregas, Messi and Neymar. Looking at Real's team, Modric is a good player but how could they let Ozil go before Modric.
  18. Liverpool still going strong. Their front 2 are as good as anything around at the moment and Suarez gets better by the week. Only Man City have probably got a better forward in Aguero but there isn't much in it. Arsenal should go back in for Suarez again but lift the amount to 50 million. Chelsea could be done with him as well. I still think Liverpool don't have enough quality in the squad to win the league. But next weeks match at Emirates is tasty.
  19. Fabregas and Ashley Cole would be the top 2 for starters. I know Fabregas came from Barca originally but he was still an Arsenal youth around 15 or 16 so it was Wenger who brought him on. Gibbs is now first choice LB and Gnabry is another Wenger gem. England and Arsenal have been lucky at LB. Its a position they have been blessed with over the years since Samson and Pearce and Le Saux. Nigel Winterburn didn't get a sniff for England but should have had 50 caps. Now they have Cole, Baines, Shaw at Southampton and Gibbs.
  20. Yep 15 points adrift with about a third of the season gone. Its a banker we'll be meeting Hearts next season. How lucky can they get! They get relegated and end up getting 4 matches v Rangers.
  21. Watched this live last night and Man Utd were lucky. Stoke could have easily won that. Much better teams than Stoke will pc up points at Old Trafford this season like West Brom and Southampton did.
  22. Man Utd 3-2 against Stoke but very lucky to be so. Papering over cracks.
  23. Stoke leading 2-1 and deserved so. The 2nd goal was a belter of a hit. Utd are absolutely awful. Midfield and defence is shambolic
  24. Bought the book this morning, surprised it was in the shops here so quickly.
  25. That's it fixed now mate....Stoke are 1-0 at old Trafford. Man U started ok but a collapse at the back let Stoke break and Crouch tapped it in
