I never thought there was any Liverpool-Rangers or Liverpool-Celtic / Everton-Rangers or Everton-Celtic relation. I just saw it as some scousers had Rangers as their Scottish team some had Celtic as theirs. You would always see scarfs of both a games. It has basically just been Liverpool trying to have a good relationship between both. Celtic invited Liverpool to Parkhead in the first game after Hillsborough but Liverpool have also had ex Bears like Souness. The club I always got the impression Rangers were linked with was Chelsea. I remember wearing my Gers top in London in 1989 and had about 3 different Chelsea fans giving me a pat on the back. One thing Liverpool and Everton do show us though, and the rest of the country, is how to have a rivalry. Being able to sit in with your family in the home end or vice versa is always good to see during the Merseyside derby.

Craig Moore was another who was booed constantly when WS played him in midfield yet I was one who cold clearly see he was a centre half and being played out of position, Advocaat saw that and Moore went on to being one of our best centre halves in the last 20 years. If a player is playing poor id never boo him, yes Id say he is having a stinker but id be blaming the manager for not subbing him or dropping him.

I read about that interview on SS and before he says its something they have talked about then its got some truth to it. He looked like he lost 2 yards of pace last few Scotland matches he played, but he did look good against England at Wembley. That sort of form for 12 months would be ideal to get us back to the top flight. But Id rather spend (if there is money) money more wisely for long term. Unless Ally is thinking just getting back to the top flight is ok then we have a settling in period of 1-2 season. But the thought of finishing behind any of the other 11 SPL clubs at the moment it depressing. Im realistic to know we wont over take Celtic on our first season back but imagine finishing below the likes of Dundee Utd and Aberdeen! At least in 2006 when we finished 3rd Hearts were a decent team and at one point looked like they could win the league.

Same as Charlton, had a manager who knew how to just stay in the league and once he went they dropped like a stone. Clubs like Stoke need to realise how lucky they are just to be a Premier league club and not wish for improvements and getting rid of their managers. Pulis cemented them even though they were poor but I see no difference in Stoke this season under Hughes, they are still horrible to watch. Some clubs just have an unattractiveness about them. Sunderland are another.

Pretty much done now, only a winning streak of 4 games in a row would give them a sniff so long as the 2 above them don't pick up any. The Jammy Jambos, thy may even earn more next season with 2 home games against us, and clubs like Dundee will bring same numbers as Dundee Utd, Killie etc to Tynecastle. Then done be surprised if the SPFL have it up their sleeve to have 2 clubs going up next season or the SPL expansion putting them back up. I think they are holding out until Rangers are as close to the top flight as possible before trying something. It would be too shocking if we didn't. We wont have a lead like this season but should have it done by March 2015.

You've got to give it to Mourinho
Gribz replied to Ser Barristan Selmy's topic in General Football Chat
I give Moyes credit for finally making Everton a better team than Man Utd at the 12th year of asking. Sherwood deserves some credit for getting Spurs back on track in the last few games. -
Im the youngest out of that trio so I'll stay on. Agree RE Little, he is a must to stay for me. Hutton I like as a player but hasn't had luck with injuries.

Sorry...but I have sympathy here....I think its the worst managerial sacking in a long time. I quite like Malky,

Would still love Ray Wilkins to be involved, even along side Ally I think he'd make improvements.

I saw he scored again and the Beeb website had another picture of him, and once again he looks physically in the best shape of his life. If only he had looked after himself when younger at his peak I think he could have been a better player.

Yeah Ive never been convinced with the Davies argument, he has always done well I the Championship but that's it. I think a combination between Butcher and McCall would be a good team. I'll be interested to see how well Butcher does with Hibs (same as McInnes at Aberdeen), if he is good then I'd say he deserves a crack after Ally. I still think Calderwood is under rated and would stroll this level. Whether he would be right for SPL is another argument but he is always tactically aware and plays a more attack style of football. Bascially he'd put a better footballing base down than Ally has.

Hardly a shock and was expected but if the Steve Clarke sacking was not justified then this one takes the Michael. He has done wonders for Cardiff. Tan saying he over spent and should do much better with 50m, however that's not the case. When you are side who hasn't been yo-yo-ing the premier league the difference between the Championship and PL is 50m just to stay there and survive and that's what Cardiff are doing. Would say Mackay will walk into the West Brom job but may leave it for a bigger position eventually. Could see Mackay being a future Scottish boss. He is like McLeish but with tactical knowledge

Ok with that, I know there has been 1 or 2. There was a game last season where I drew the line and said he certainly isn't the manager for the future of this club. I stand to that opinion today despite our record this season.
-
Agree with this however the debate only appears when we don't win a game. Id prefer people start the debate after a poor winning performance also.

I saw quite a few games last season but not this year, but McKay was one of the positive stand outs last season and I thought the one with most potential. For all of a sudden to read he is available on loan is a bit of a shock. Maybe if he was 35 and nearing the end of his career he'd be on a bumper package and playing every week. Sounds like this one could go a bit similar to the Hemmings situation, a promising youngster who did well out on loan but never got much of a chance.

The 100% was always going to go, Im not too worried about it although I didn't expect it to go at Ibrox. A season unbeaten is more realistic, having the odd draw is no shame. The manner in which they come about is. I wouldn't start an Anti-Ally bandwagon simple for dropping 2 points, the debate about his manager ability is a separate one and shouldn't just be brought up on individual results when we don't win a game.

Big Eck could also be trying to justify why he finished 3rd in a 2 team league. His bosmans were better than players he actually spent money on!! But he has a point, nothing would be worse than going into the top flight and competing for being 4th or 5th. I don't expect to win the league straight away but there has to be signs that we are improving and should still take 2nd spot.
-
A proper youth policy should have been in place when Murray Park was first opened and that would have meant having a proper scouting system with ex players in their native countries finding good young talent. I know some will point to the 1 or 2 that has come through but we really should have had 20 times more better players coming through and should have been light years ahead any other SPL side. As such it pains to say Dundee Utd have even a far better youth set up.

Torres has been so poor there. Granted he isn't the same player he was at Liverpool but I still think he would score goals for fun at Man United or Arsenal. Imagine Liverpool had Torres and Suarez at the same time at their peak! As things stand Suarez would go for 85 million now, but depends what clauses he has in his new contract.

Well done West Ham and Sunderland putting a boot into that draw! Unreal for West Ham winning at White Hart Lane twice in space of a few weeks. Pity the Manchester clubs were kept apart in the semi's, I have serious doubts that that wasn't a fix!!! West Ham v Man City Sunderland v Man Utd

Can someone put it forward that we want all the seats at Ibrox the same shade of blue again
