  1. And a more attractive one than the real top flight. Having 16 teams makes the difference.
  2. Based on trophies won of course it would be. We'd be at 3 out 4 (so long as we win both Ramsdens and Scottish Cup), Celtic would have 1 out 4. If Celtic were in our shoes does anyone think they would get near full houses and win the Scottish cup? In the early to mid 90s they were mid table SPL and only won one cup between 1989 and 1995.
  3. Is the gate money split 50-50 for semi finals? If so that could be the reason he is taking 8012 as he knows to get a higher pay day it will have to be Rangers fans who buy the remaining tickets.
  4. Rodney Marsh is owe me a new keyboard. On Talksport just now: "David Moyes wasn't the man for Man Utd in the first place. Moyes going to Man Utd was like a traffic warden going in to arrest the Kray twins"
  5. He must be a better choice than whoever is coaching the defence at the moment? I have always been one who has said there shouldn't be jobs for boys and that great players don't always make good coaches / managers. In Weir's case after the Sheff Utd job it looks like being a manager isn't for him but he could be a good coach. I would say this because he was pretty much a mentor for all the defensive partners he had at Ibrox and they all looked a better player when they had Weir next to them - Cuellar, Bougherra, Wilson....
  6. Yep Ally, full pre-season this year, good winning momentum at the moment, settled team by the looks of it. Now just 'go for it' in this game. There would be nothing worse going out of this tie at a wimper. If we give all and play fast attacking football but go out I would accept it as it gives a measure as to where we are but going out in poor fashion just turns attention onto Ally's ability to put a good team out again.
  7. I didn't realise he went there after the Sheff utd role. Brentford are flying in that league.
  8. Agree on both points. More so the 2nd especially when David Weir is without a coaching job at the moment.
  9. Very difficult to say if he meant it or not.
  10. If Cribari is leaving then its another centre half down and that suggests we will be going into the season with McCulloch again. I like Hutton as a player but he has been unlucky with injuries.
  11. Swansea did me on Saturday on a 6 fold.
  12. Man Utd were awful, they need to cut their losses and just get rid of Moyes. I cant work out how some people are blaming Ferguson for leaving him with a poor team - he won the league. And Selmy is right Liverpool could have had 2 more pens. Rosickys goal was a belter, Arsenal still in the title race. Need to get something at Stamford Bridge next week though.
  13. Thank gosh it wasn't at Ibrox. St Johnstone will beat them in the other semi.
  14. Stevie Paterson - he was mental. Out on the piss every night.
  15. A load of my mates travelling down for this game you'd think it was a CL final. 40000 - where they getting that from! Inverness had a game midweek so will be more tired, would really like to see Caley take the trophy home today.
  16. Mourinho was right then, the league table was false. Chelsea lose at Villa and City win at Hull, 6 pts gap with 3 games in hand. Makes the run in interesting. Huge games later today, Man Utd v Liverpool and Spurs v Arsenal. Arsenals chance for the title, win today and win against Swansea in their spare game puts gives them a chance but I cant see them winning today with no strikers. Past titles winning teams had henry, Bergkamp, Anelka, Wiltord and Kanu. A knackered Giroud cant match that. Score draw 2-2 with Spurs Arsenal. Man Utd to beat Liverpool 2-1.
  17. If it was our choice we wouldn't want them in Ibrox either.
  18. I used to get GOL TV here until last year and both Rangers and Celtic games were on almost every week which is why I saw a lot of games up until this season. Perhaps they have done me a favour this year though by the readings of some performances.
  19. A win on Sunday does good for his career but I would gladly see Inverness lift the cup to disappoint 40000 sheep at parkhead.
  20. You can buy them on the website. Click on the match then choose your seat and pay. http://billetterie.psg.fr/uk
  21. Couldn't he say "I encourage all our fans to behave themselves and just enjoy the occasion" rather than
  22. Spurs backing up the argument that the Premier League isn't the highest standard. A team going for the CL easily beaten at home by the Portuguese side.
  23. Putting a few youngsters in doesn't mean a new starting XI. Ally could play 1 or 2 then bring 2 or 3 off the bench replacing those starting while keeping the majority of the team experienced. It just gives them first team experience ahead of next season rather than throwing them in the deep end in the Championship.

    Next Season

I kind of wanted to add this to my thread yesterday 'rest of the season' but thought the night after winning the title may be a bit soon. I think next season will be far more competitive and teams will be tougher. I actually think some teams last season tried to play better football than Championship sides do but don't have the physical side of pace to the game due to being part time. We need to strengthen a bit but only if its key long term players, there is no point strengthening for one season then having to do it again next year should be we going up to the top flight. The first place Id strengthen is in the management / coaching side. I hope Ally brings in a fresh face with new ideas and good tactical knowledge. Should be an interesting league on paper with Hearts and maybe another SPL side plus 2 from Falkirk, Dundee or Hamilton.
  25. That's a potential trip!
